I came to this store under the impression I would receive good customer service based off my family members who recommended me to this location. This place traumatized me and made me feel stranded and helpless. The person who helped me today was useless. Came in for a battery replacement. I was the first person in line after the attendant at the register was finishing up with a customer. Several people were coming inside and I had about five people waiting behind me in line. As soon as the attendant checked out the customer, I approach and asked "i'm here to buy a battery, is there someone here to help me install it?". The attendant looks around and says " no i don't have anyone today" so i tell him "okay i'll buy the battery and just take it home with me" so he proceeds to ask me for my car make and type and then my info (name number zip) and once he's done he walks away and nonchalantly says "put your card in when you're ready" and i'm like confused because the dude didn't even tell me what type of battery i could choose from and did not mention the cost to me. Why am I not being explained on the options??? If there was only one option, why did he not mention that at all?????? Shouldn't there be a process on a customer wanting a battery? Such as, checking their current battery first? Checking to see if they'd like to charge it?? AND THEN MAYBE RECOMMEND TO THEM TO BUY A BATTERY??? As he comes back with the battery he explains "if you come back with your old battery you will get money back" and i ask him "how much does this weigh?" he just stares at me. I am a high risk pregnant woman is the reasoning behind why I asked for the weight. He never gives me an answer because he's too busy looking at me stupid. I'm already pissed off by the poor customer service. He was clueless af. I grab the damn battery and struggling to carry it to my car. As Autozone is a male dominated store maybe the employees should be trained on helping more customers who are not knowledgeable on specific products and take the time and effort to explain to their customers and to go the extra mile to help someone who is struggling with a heavy part. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER AND HAVE A BETTER POLICY ON TREATING CUSTOMERS WITH MORE CARE. Especially when there's a freaking pregnant woman in the store. read more

This place is a bit hectic, but the employees there are willing to help you once it is your turn. I had just left the dealership for an oil change and their "inspection". They had a few recommendations which I opted against. I figured at least some of them could be taken care of at Autozone at a much lower price. The first thing was windshield wipers. The dealership was going to charge 60 bucks to install a new set. No thanks, I came here and was able to find some good ones for 40, with a $10 mail in rebate, so half the price. The other suggestion was to replace my battery. I wanted a 2nd opinion, so Autozone was able to preform their test and sure enough nothing was wrong with my battery. If you ever visited the store off of Scarsdale you'll see a familiar face in here. Ken is the store manager, he transferred from the Scarsdale location to this one. If your coming from Fuqua from Sabo, AutoZone can be easily missed. It is hidden between two buildings being that one building is in front of the backside of AZ. But your coming from the opposite end or from Seabrook it is easily spotted. This location seems to be the resting harbor for big rigs. I seen a lot when I came. The 18-wheelers were sitting in the parking lot. The service was fairly better than Scarsdale, I guess it's just this certain day and time. Inside the store has a similar platform as other AZ. The only thing I found different was that this location has a waiting line. It tells you where to enter. That was pretty helpful rather than randomly gathering loosely.. no telling if the person before or head of you wants to fight for first place. Sometime it gets hectic. So, I came in to get a couple of necessities to do a DIY oil change. I kinda missed changing my on oil (something I learned when growing up in the country) and plus I didn't want risk having it changed again by someone else, usually they cause me to have an oil leak (happened numerous times). Also, it's good to know how to change your own oil or do any diy maintenance on your vehicle. Hints isn't that why you have a vehicle? So, when I was about to purchase I asked Ken why he didn't tell me about a particular oil special that I seen. He assumed I was having a man change my own oil. Now, I didn't take offense to it; but he being the manager shouldn't think like that. Just a heads up, check your items before leaving. I was given a 10w- 30 over 5w- 30. AutoZone computers aren't always 100% correct and those sale associates don't know. I just asking Raymond what is the difference, he said he differs between the viscosity of the oil and the computer said 10w 30. so again with the assuming. The computer did not once pull up 5w-30 and I always use 5w- 30. Here's a tip-- SAE 5w- 30 is recommended for good fuel economy and good starting in cold weather. If you use SAE 10w- 30 in extremely low temperatures, your vehicle may become difficult to start. If you have a problem figuring out which oil to use. Just whip out your misplaced or never once looked at manual. It should give you the exact knowledge. read more
