I noticed the employee Judith was coughing super hard and kept sneezing and blowing her nose into a napkin and she looked visibly very sick and not even wearing a mask. So I chose to use self check out to lower my risk of getting sick but as I'm trying to pay she grabbed my stuff without my permission with her dirty napkin and I was so shocked I asked why she's moving the stuff as she was grabbing my things without her dirty napkin in hand without even washing her hands or at least using hand sanitizer. I said I'm sorry but I was doing self check out to NOT get sick. She replied: " If you don't want to get sick don't go out of your house and don't come to our store." She started to argue when I was just simply trying to buy stuff. It was so gross how she grabbed my stuff with her dirty contaminated napkin. My car was dead and they were so patient in finding the right battery for me. They found something that was cost effective and not expensive. It was so hot and they helped me change the battery even though they didn't have too and it was extremely hot. I would not have been able to do it by myself. If I could give them minus stars I would. I came last night to get my battery tested around 9:15pm. I was told they could do it but it would take an hour to charge and they were closing early to have the floors cleaned. (They close at 10). I was told to come in the morning and they could help me remove my battery to charge it and test it. I came in at 7:30am to have it charged and tested. The manager Jose gave me an attitude and tells me it'll take 2 hrs, clearly he goes not want to help me. He comes outside to check, goes back inside for the tools and never comes back. I go back inside to ask if he's going to help me. He said that battery will take 20 min to take out. I said so that's why you're not going to help me? Then he says I can't leave my employee alone to help you. Mind you there's me and one other customer in the store. Totally rude! Unhelpful! Customer service with this manager was the worst. I don't know exactly how he was given a management position. So do yourself a favor and avoid this auto zone!!! Corporate will be hearing from me. Revising my review thanks to Gabriel. Exceptional customer service!! He took it upon himself to assist me when his manager Jose refused to help. Needed my battery checked because light was flashing on dashboard. Stopped by Auto Zone and associate quickly checked and gave me the bad news. Indeed my battery was on its last leg and I needed a replacement. The battery available cost $120 and it was quickly and professionally installed by Bryant. I can understand how men come in here and are totally enthralled by the aisles and aisles of motor oils, paints, spark plugs, and other goodies. I am very happy with the service I received at this locale considering I am a female and know very little about prices and auto parts. Only con is that selection of batteries is minimal. read more

Shady practices at this AutoZone. They will tell you your battery is bad even if it's not, just to make a sale. Unfortunately the employees are forced to do this by upper management. That has to be illegal right? Took in my battery to check it. They "charged" it, tested it and said I needed a new one. I know someone who works at another AutoZone so I called them up. They said no don't by another one. Bring it to me and I'll test it for real. So I did and they told me my battery was good. That the employees at Montebello know how to rig their machines to give you bad readings. Wow! Never going back here again. I hope some news channel does an investigation on this place so they could stop ripping people off. read more

The store is full of accessories and not enough actual useful, functioning parts. I don't go to places like autozone for a witty lisence plate frame with a cartoon character or a crappy piston shift knob. I want the crap to go away and have them aquire things on their shelves worth selling. They sell the wrong parts for the wrong years and it's just a mess. Since I drive an older fourty year old car they have even less of what I need but I can buy plenty of novelty crap all day long. Just go to their hub store. I came here to pick up windshield wipers for my car. The parts manager looked up the windshield size for my car. He was able to identify the size quickly and recommended the set of wipers that was available in the store.
