My daughter got a flat tire this morning so I told her to go there to get the one tire for her Audi Q3 Crys there told her that they are not allowed to sell. It's a corporate policy that they could not sell one tire for a high-end car and it would ruin her transmission if they just changed one tire so she had to its corporate policy, they would not service her car unless she bought four tires and a wheel alignment when she only needed one tire because a nail was in it. When ask again was this policy they said it's a corporate policy corporate policy and they are not allowed to do so contact corporate corporate said this is completely untrue never ever ever go to this map Tires they are scammers. INCOMPETENT! DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! One month prior to this writing, I took one of our cars into Mavis Waterford lakes on Alafaya trail for A/C repair. It cost over $1,800.00. After paying this amount, I went to drive off in the car, and the A/C was not working! I turned right around-they kept the car for several hours after that and it was finally working-TEMPORARILY. (Do they not ensure they fixed what they were paid to fix?!). As we used the car, we noticed the A/C was only working once in a while, so I made another appointment for Saturday, February 28; they even called me a few days before to "confirm" the appointment. When I arrived that Saturday morning, they told me that the A/C Technician would not be in "today". I had to make yet another appointment for the following Saturday (which was "today"). I took my receipt in with me. The Manager of the store told me that I would have to pay another diagnostic fee if they found it was something they did not address when I brought it in originally. I paid over 1,800 for the A/C to be FIXED; not for it to be RANDOMLY WORKING!! Why would I pay yet another diagnostic fee?! I refuse to buy their B.S., so I left. I called the Corporate office to register the complaint. As I was on hold, the Corp. rep supposedly called the Manager of that store location to discuss the issue. I was told that they would not waive the diagnostic fee if it was "something else". The Rep told me she would escalate it to the Regional Manager and that he would call me, and that she would also send me an email re-capping our discussion. Neither has happened. As I told the Manager, I have been taking two of our cars here for years; back when they were "Gator Action Tires", and they would lose my business for good. I won't ever take my cars back to Mavis. They are incompetent and don't take pride in their work; and apparently don't care about keeping long-term, repeat customers. read more

I had been taking my vehicles here for nine years. They recently changed ownership and it was a HUGE difference. My car was diagnosed with an expensive repair and after 3 days I was informed that they can't fix it and I should come pick it up. I took the car to a different shop and they diagnosed and repaired (although what Action Gator Told Me Was Wrong...was not correct) I had to take it to another shop for a correct diagnosis and repair. I spent quite a bit on 2 vehicles over 9 years but I will not be returning here again. read more

Had my tires replaced here. After, when I accelerated my truck would shake. I called back, they told me bring it in, they balanced my tires and said their machine wasn't working properly the day I got my tires put on, and the machine was corrected later that day after I left.... Why didn't they tell me that the day I got my tires done? Instead of me thinking they were balanced correctly, I dunno... first red flag. I leave with my "balance" done. Still having the same issues. I bring it back in after calling, they drive it and say it just rides like a truck and there's nothing wrong with it. I've never had this issue and after getting my tires replaced and balanced here I now have an annoying rattle and shake when I accelerate. Avoid this place! They didn't find a solution and excused the problem I have after service in their shop. read more

Flat tire? I got in wifey's car and while I was driving, it started to pull hard to the right. Soon, the tire pressure light came up and I knew I had a flat tire. I stopped to put air at a gas station and looked up *tire repair shops*. Action Gator Tire was the closest, so I called to check they were open and headed their way. As soon as I got there, I was greeted and someone came outside to check the tire. He drove my car over the lift and a technician got to work on the flat right away. I went inside, they had a TV playing the news and a coffee maker, plus some snacks. Looking around, I found a display for windshield wipers. I had been looking for wipers with no luck, but they had them at this shop. Seemingly, having a flat tire brought me to a store where I could buy my hard to find wipers. I took the wipers to the counter, the person helping me asked me if they were for the car on the lift, I said yes, he took them to the work area and they replaced them free of charge. Free. A minute later, the car was ready, I paid, and they wished me a nice day. What can I say? Excellent customer service. Excellent disposition. Quick service. And a nice waiting area. I know it sounds backwards, but I was happy to have gotten a flat! Action Gator Tires also offers oil changes and car maintenance. Finally, after looking at my tires, I decided to get a new set. AGT has very competitive prices, and even if your tires are not in stock, they will bring them from the warehouse in a few hours. I'm glad I found this place. It was 5 o'clock while leaving work when I noticed a big puddle of transmission fluid under my car. I had just replaced the radiator (myself) and certainly knew that something went wrong. I called Gator tire and was pleasantly told that they closed by 7pm. I hurried over, as delicately as possible. They quickly took my car in, and David the mechanic had the transmission lines checked and tightened. They even helped me by fixing my broken splash guard. In short -- they were professional, efficient, and quick at solving the problem. Now I can drive back to Miami in peace. Thanks guys! P.S. I would get new tires with them if I could. read more

Visiting for the weekend we had to get an oil change and came here because of its proximity to the Waterford shopping center. They were busy particularly because it was a holiday weekend, but they still took the time to run my kids and I over to the shopping center to pass the time more easily. The waiting area wasn't very exciting, but there was a vending machine with a few snacks and soda. There was a water dispenser & coffee. They have 3 small desks with power strips for charging which I thought was very convenient. A full synthetic oil change was around $85, which I thought was a little high, but they gave me a couple bringing it down to around $72 and they included a tire rotation and refueling fluids. After being told that I would pay $132 for my tire all together over the phone before paying a $25 deposit I was then told that I would be paying $144 when I got to the store. They then took my car in to "Work on it" and it took them an hour to change one tire. One tire with 1 other car in the garage. When I ask what was taking so long the cashier "Jason" proceeded to then get an attitude with me and even threatened to take my car out of the garage. Implying that the service was not already in progress or done. And this was after 45 minutes had gone by. This is not how any establishment should treat nor talk they're paying customers. I purchased a year ago the lifetime alignment for my 2013 Mercedes C300 and the first time I went they damaged the front right tire rod and now they damaged the left one. Now, they showed me a bill for $960 to fix what they broke!! Then, they all get upset and rude when I decide not to have my car fix by them. The mechanic drove my car very aggressively, hit the front bumper with the curb and almost threw the keys to me. I knew the lifetime alignment was a hoax not to mention the sneaky business practices. Beware ... this is NOT the Action Gator that has built a reputation in our community for decades. I visited the Ocoee location on W. Colonial earlier this month. After being coerced into buying the house brand Mavis tires, we were really unhappy. I was told that these were the only tires they could get same day and that if I wanted my car back in the afternoon, the Mavis tires were my only option. Now owned by Mavis, I believe that these guys are incentivized to sell you Mavis tires, and believe you me ... you don't want Mavis tires! They're absolute junk, and the fees you'll pay on top of the price of the tires will blow your mind. Fortunately, I was able to get the Mavis tires swapped for something else that I'm more happy with, but they wouldn't honor their own on-line pricing for the difference in the cost of the tires vs. the Mavis junk I was "forced" to go with the first time. All total, I overpaid by about $250 (or more than 30%) over what I would have paid for the exact same tires elsewhere, plus the time on the phone with their folks and an extra day off work to deal with the whole thing. What a disaster! Never Action Gator, never again! read more

I have been to this location multiple times for different services, and I must say I am most impressed by their customer service. They gave me great rates for tire replacements, oil change, and alignment. I usually buy the oil for my car on my own and have them change it for me, and they do it for a fairly cheap price. My car needed an alignment recently, and upon calling Action Gator, they told me they price match. I ended up finding another location that did alignments for cheaper with a longer warranty, and Action Gator opted to price match that price, even though the competing location had a deal going on (which ended the day before my alignment appointment). I was very pleased they were willing to price match, despite the deal ending already. Overall, I will continue to come here, they always do a great job. read more

Went in to buy 2 tires and asked them to check the brakes while the car was up on the lift. When it came time to pay the bill, there was no mention about the brakes, so I asked what they had found. He told me that my "brakes were fine", but I could tell that I caught him by surprise with my question. 3 weeks later, my brakes are grinding. I take it to Auto Tender (highly recommend) and they told me that I needed brakes on all 4 wheels. Since we bought the car used several years ago and never had them replaced, this came as no surprise. Action Gator tires used to be great. I recommended them many times, but that was under manager Steve a few years back. Now I'll never go back there. read more

These guys are absolutely the best in the business. When I first brought my truck here I was amazed at how much money I saved compared to another company that price gouged me. They have always been extremely quick and cooperative when I came to any service I had. There have been numerous times I would bring my car by because of something funky was going on and I didn't even charge me. They fix it within 10 minutes and sent me on my way. Now that's customer service! I've been bring my cars here for close to 2 years and I'll continue to. If you need to charge your phone they also have a docking station next to the Coke machine. I think that is an excellent touch for someone who is sitting and waiting to get the car serviced. Make sure to check their website for coupons and deals. read more

This review is for Action Gator Tire in Clermont. I made an appt more than 2 weeks out for 9am. I dropped the vehicle off around 8:30am. Told them I had to be somewhere else at 1pm to call me as soon as the 4 tires were installed. I stopped by at 11:30 and my vehicle was in a service bay. But wasn't done. I asked what was the problem. Was told it would be about another hour or more before it would be done. I expressed my displeasure and left. Got a call a little after 1pm that my vehicle was done. When I got here to pick up my vehicle I questioned why It took more than 4 hours to replace 4 tires when I had a 9am appt? Well, it turned into a shouting Match with I presume the Mgr. I usually dont confront a business when it turns into a bad experience. I just dont go back. But I felt I did everything that I could to make sure that I gave them more than enough time to finish my vehicle making an appt and telling them that I needed the vehicle back at a specific time. If they were not able to keep the appt and finish in a timely manner I should've been told this when I was dropping the vehicle off. I would have made other arrangements. My nitrogen-filled tires are low and went by to see if they had nitrogen available. Not only was I told "no", I was told that since oxygen is 68% nitrogen anyway, I should use that instead. Interestingly, I was able to get nitrogen from this Alafaya location a little over a year ago. I explained to the guy at the counter that his advice was contrary to the dealer and left. Apparently an appointment means nothing at the Windermere location, will never return, in fact- I think I'm done with them completely. $100 for a 2 hour oil change? I woke up to a flat tire because of a nail. I called and found out it was $29 to fix my flat tire. I went and only waited around 30 mins so it wasn't bad to be honest. Told them I came here because of their great reviews on Yelp and they were so grateful and said that the tire repair was on them, which I was more than happy and grateful for. Will definitely be coming back to this place if I ever need a car repair, they seem like good people and speedy service. read more

THEY LIED TO ME - I would never recommend this shop to anyone. I came there to replace the rear wheels based on the recommendations from the service center of my vehicle brand that my right rear wheel is punctured and needs to be replaced asap. After two hours of waiting, they came to me and argued my vehicle is all-wheel drive and urged me to replace all wheels. I wanted to book another reservation for replacing the front wheels but their tone was pretty strong to replace all four RIGHT NOW. Because I am not an auto expert and I followed their advice and I came back home and I looked at the receipt and it clearly indicated my car is RWD in THEIR OWN WORDS. This is total nonsense to me and never seen such clear, absurd contradictions in any auto service I have received in the past 15 years. Because of their FALSIFIED claim on that day, I had to replace all tires, which made me pay twice what I originally planned. Because of this experience, I do not recommend this shop. read more

These people are thieves and scumbags. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I came in for some 'routine maintenance'. They gave me a quote that was acceptable. After they had already started working on my car, they told me I need more services. Not being a mechanic myself, I was in no position to challenge that. But I also wouldn't have agreed to pay the new cost of my quote without looking around first to see if it was competitive. They claimed that the additional services I needed couldn't have been determined before they started working on my car. I don't buy it. You'd be better off taking your car anywhere else. This is specific to the location on Narcoossee Rd. I went online and requested an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. There was no way to select a specific time. I received an email with an order number confirming that I made the appointment. I went to the Gator Action Tire location on Narcoossee in the early afternoon. I told them I made an appointment on line. They asked for the order number. I gave them the order number. He said he had no order number in his system. I showed them the email with the order number. They said because I didn't have an appointment it would be a 2 hour wait. I said I would return in 2 hours. He said I could get the oil change next door (some place called Sunshine Oil) and he would do the tire rotation. I said okay. I went next door to get the oil change and they had no regular oil, only synthetic. I asked for the price and they gave me a choice of either $60 or $80 (I forget the actual price). I said to forget it. I did have a coupon for Action Gator tire for an oil change with regular oil for $25 but I decided that something strange is going on here. I will not return. read more
