It's pouring rain and my windshield wipers are shot! So I pulled into, Auto Zone to replace them. I have a Mercedes Wagon so I needed one wiper for the front, and one for the rear. JOHN G. Was amazing! Not only did he help me install my new wipers, he also installed a headlamp that had burnt out! He was so patient & easy to work with! Replacing headlamp bulbs isn't easy on this car. But he came out in the rain & with no raincoat, he replaced the headlamp. That guy is a champ! He's definitely a candidate for a raise & a Big Christmas Bonus! Worst customer service i asked help for a specific part for an oil filter cap and a specific size and the cashier told me to just look for it myself and that it's in the first aisle and to keep looking for the part even though i asked him to help me find it but he ended up being lazy and rude, and also, the store was completely empty. and when i did try to find it and when i brought the item to the counter, i asked him to double check to make sure if it was the right size and all he told me was "it looks like it will fit" not even looking at the package or checking it. i also brought my own tool to find a different brand of the same size. and on top of that it didn't even fit my oil filter. won't be coming back here again! read more

I have a leak in the Power Steering pump oil on my 06 Acura RSX. My mechanic advised me to keep the oil reservoir full until the pump can be replaced. I am a lady of a definite age and have never been able to open the hood on this car. The steering sound went from a whine to a clang, so I pulled into Auto Zone and asked for help. Carla followed me out and opened the hood in less than three minutes. She then looked at the oil reservoir, saw where the oil was measured, and watched as I filled it with PS oil to full. I could not have done this without her. She refused to take a tip. Auto Zone must screen their employees for quality because I have always received the best service but this time, I didn't even buy anything! Carla deserves a raise. read more

My mom and I came here to get our car battery replaced. The entire process from checking out to replacement was so easy and quick. We were there for about 10-15 minutes and left after the replacement was done. The cashier and the guy (didn't catch their names unfortunately) who replaced our battery were helpful, professional, and kind. Also we called a couple of places and asked for car battery replacement quotes in the valley which were pretty pricey, but Autozone had reasonable prices and the wait time was so short. I had a battery problem on my 2007 Hundai, my only car. I took the car to this Auto Zone on Monterey in Palm Desert for assistance. Technician Jose tested and removed the battery, put it on charge. It was completely discharged. The charging took over 2 hours. When it was fully charged, Jose replaced it in my car, tested the electrical/charging system. Jose said the cable terminals needed adjustment for tightening and accomplished that test quickly. All together this took nearly three hours. I had time to wait. This all seems normal for Auto Zone. Perhaps, but Jose made me feel like AUTO ZONE service was very special. This is the thrift battery in this car from Auto Zone. I have only paid for the original battery. The replacements cost nothing because of their policy. The service has been top notch. Service has always been, for me because of their policy. Thanks Jose at Auto Zone. read more

Not only did we save $273 but one of the employees named Fernando helped my husband out to the truck and proceeded to install the battery. Overall my experience was very neutral the employees there were very helpful in finding me the products I needed. however, prior to going I was told apple pay was accepted there which in the end it turned out to be false information. I drove there with no cash on me because I was told apple pay was accepted, but when I got there and tried to use it apple pay didn't work. Because of this I had to drive all the way back home to pick up cash and drive all the way back to the store. All of this could have been avoided had the correct information been shared with me the first time. With all of this in mind I personally feel AutoZone is a 3/5 with for improvement in the costumer service department. read more

I went to AutoZone for the first time and John G. assisted me in locating the proper light bulb for my car. He then offered to install it for me at no cost, and I happily took him up on his offer since I am not that mechanically inclined. When does anyone ever offer to assist you to do anything these days, right! John G. installed the light bulb which wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. John G. was upbeat, courteous and a pleasure to talk with. The service he provided me was fantastic, and, in my opinion, it was above and beyond what I had expected from an auto parts store. The service provided by John G. made me very comfortable with AutoZone and now I wouldn't go anywhere else for my car needs. I can't recommend John G. and AutoZone enough. read more
