On that day, Matt quickly arrived, assessed the problem and replaced the battery. He was personable and his charge was reasonable. During conversation, I learned that Matt would also be able to purchase and program a key fob for my van. We discussed price and timing for this service, and as he requested, I paid him up front via Venmo $287.54 for him to purchase the fob. The plan was to reconnect several days later after the fob arrived for him to program the fob to my van. On the expected date, 8/28 Matt let me know he would prefer to meet on 8/29. On 8/29, Matt let me know that the fob had not arrived, and in addition, his phone was broken and worked only intermittently. He texted to say he would meet me in Estes Park once the fob arrived to do the programming. I sent Matt a text on 8/30, 8/31, 9/2 and 9/3 as well as left a voice message. No response. On 9/4 I let him know that I sent a Venmo request for him to reimburse me for the cost of the key fob. On 9/5 I spoke with O'Reilly's and was told they had seen Matt who had a new phone. I finally heard from Matt on 9/10. He stated he has the key fob and would meet me in Estes the following day. On 9/11 I asked for time confirmation and he responded he had just left Glenwood and would arrive 5-5:30pm. He never showed up. On 9/12 after several texts, he finally got back to me saying he would refund my money. To this date, 9/15, he has not responded to me, nor refunded my money. Matt may be a decent mechanic, but he is also a scammer and a thief and takes advantage of honest, trusting individuals. What a shame.

They diagnosed our problem and provided excellent repairs at a reasonable cost. They were friendly, courteous, and professional. It was six hours from breakdown to back on the road again, five hours in the repair shop. If I lived near Rifle, Advanced is where my cars would go for service. One more thing-Pickles, the shop/office dog, is a good boy.

He suggested Big O in Glenwood Springs. I opted to go the other direction to Rifle. Randy Marquez Jr. immediately took my truck into the bay area. The waiting room had several people waiting and more came in and out while I was waiting. It was very busy that day. The staff was friendly to those in person and on the phone. The area was very nice and clean, cool, and comfortable. After a couple of hours, I asked Randy how much longer he thought it would take. He went to check, came back and said it was being worked on at that time. A short while later my tire was fixed (it was a nail) and Randy would not take a payment from me. He gave me a receipt and off I went. Big O Tires left a good impression on me. When the time for new tires comes around it is likely they will get my business! Since I do not live locally, it won't be at this Rifle location but for the locals, I suggest giving them your business. A special thank you to Randy for the great service!

1 Star I've taken…read moretwo trucks here and both visits were extremely disappointing. The first time--a simple oil change and tire rotation--took 3-4 hours. The second visit for an oil change and new rear tires was no better. No updates unless I called. After three hours I'd be told "one more hour," but when I arrived an hour later the vehicle still wasn't done. I dealt with Randy Marquez, who repeatedly gave inaccurate estimates and never followed up with a call. I've wasted over seven hours total, and their timing has been off by at least three hours both times. Both visits were quiet in the shop, yet I saw children running around behind the counter and being held by employees while they were "helping" me--unprofessional and distracting. Poor communication, inaccurate scheduling, and a lack of professionalism--I won't be back and can't recommend this location.
