Autozone on Van Buren and California has Hispanic employees that are racist to blacks. Everytime that I go to this store If I have a return without a receipt the same curly headed young Mexican kid refuses to return my product even though I haven't opened it or used it at all. What's the purpose of you guys always asking for our phone number and name when we purchase the item but when we return it I gotta have a receipt in hand? Lol. That makes absolutely no sense at all because if you punched in the number associated with the sale that validates its purchase where you would be able to validate the product. But this jerk always gives me a hard time when I enter this parts store. So if you are a person of color black, do not spend one dollar in this store for your auto needs. Go elsewhere where there is diversity that works together in the store but dont come here. I went to this store to return unopened antifreeze and I had my identification to verify my phone number in there computer system to verify that purchase. The Hispanic kid just refused to do it for me. Every other Autozone stores that I had to make a return without receipt still assisted me with my return by verifying my phone number and my id. Boom. I am always impressed with the professional service I receive when I go to AutoZone in Riverside, CA....it's on the corner of Van Buren Ave & California Ave... I am a senior citizen with an older car..l always receive professional service from the staff &!they go over and above assisting me wi the product or parts that I need for my car.... On my last visit, a young man by the name of Jeremiah assisted me and gave me excellent advice regarding the type of brake fluid I needed for my car He even took the time to show me (without neglecting any of the other customers) where it should go. read more

If I walked into a restaurant and started at the wall with a blank look and tried to order things that made no sense, the staff would move on or throw me out. But that's how I am at an auto parts store (like this one), and somehow I end up getting what I need. I placed an order online and it stated in stock, it let me purchase the item but when I arrived it was not placed. I was informed they knew it wasn't in the store and they didn't do anything about it, didn't reach out or place an order for it to arrive. I walked in with bulbs i purchased at another better auto zone to match cause i needed more. I matched them to the ones i needed and put the ones i brought with me in my pocket. Imediatly i was accused of steeling them and had to prove they where mine. This place sucks the staff are slow to help and quick to judge. So i left and will never go back. O'reillys is way better anyway. read more

I've been here several times. For the most part it's always been an okay experience. If you have to return something, you'll have to stand in the returns line followed by the line for the cashier, but this is at any AutoZone. It's ridiculous but not the end of the world. However, my recent visit is what prompted me to leave a review. BE WARNED, I was told to change from 5W-30 to 10W-40 because I have a higher mileage car. Thankfully I took this advice with a grain of salt. My research shows this could DAMAGE my engine, throw off my timing and decrease fuel efficiency among other undesirable things. While I don't think I was given this advice out of ill-intent, it should not have been given at all. Please take the time to do the research for yourselves if given advice. Just because they work at a car place doesn't mean they are mechanics. read more

This Autozone has always had all the parts I need. They are my go to place for any "over the weekend job". If they don't have the parts, they order them, and have them ready within a few days, if not less. They have great customer service as well, they have always taken care of me. I really enjoy going to autozone but never been top a location where there are too many employees and no service I actually walked out once most of their employees hide in the back and customers build the lines. I went in the store with a shopping list of items for my car and Robert K. hooked it up. He looked everything up on the computer and made his own list and then went down the aisles and grabbed everything for me. He even called another store to see if they had one of the parts I was looking for. Sometimes when I go in there the employees will just stand at the counter waiting for customers to come up, but Robert K. went the extra mile for me and I couldn't have asked for better service! Last night I went in there for head lights bulbs and fuel injectors. Not only did the Young Lady assist me immediately, but she call her co worker up to help search for a better deal to price match. They was super nice and they gave me a great deal after it was all said and done. read more

Brian, the sales manager, is amazing. Was having car troubles and my check engine light came on. Pulled into autozone, borrowed the light reader, Brian helped read the codes, and get us the right parts and tools to fix the job. Saved me a ton of money from having it towed back home and from paying someone to fix the problem. I highly recommend this Autozone! read more

Very unprofessional I have been a customer for many many years. I have bought thousands and thousands of dollars of parts from auto zone. I have never experienced such lack of respect as I did today when I went there. The manager and staff there need some serious customer service training and personal tack. I hope someone in upper management reads this as they may have lost a very good customer in me. Ron was the clerk who was rude and acted like he was doing me a big favor by waiting on me. Went to this autozone to purchase parts for my car, a couple hours after I left I noticed on my bank statement that I was charged twice for the same order , when I went back to the store the sales rep named Octavio was rude as can be to me and pretty much called me a Lier when I showed him I was charged twice. He told me I would need an actually paper statement from the bank as proof, so I drive to the bank get said statement and drive all the way back and show him again that I was charged twice , he then proceeded to tell me that he still won't be giving me a refund and when I told him thank you for wasting all my time and told me that I was the one wasting his time. This is unacceptable and I will be contacting corporate , stay away from this place read more
