The best service I've ever received at parts store. Drew is very helpful and knowledgeable. I had him check my battery. It was showing it was good but was showing failure. He got another tester and tested my alternator which showed it was over charging (a sign it's going bad and potentially damaging the battery). He also referred a couple of people that could replace the alternator for me. read more

Great service from Drew the other day, both on the phone and in person. I needed help getting the right replacement stud and lug nut for my car, to replace a bent stud. He made sure I had the right parts and helped out with getting a better socket for doing my seasonal wheel changes (I was using a 3/8" socket and adapter on both the breaker bar and torque wrench. Better and stronger to have a 1/2" socket with no adapter.) This was a small thing but he took the time make sure I had just what I needed, and was knowledgeable and friendly. read more

I was born dyslexic and with two left thumbs I am an Uber driver living in Silverthorne and always dread changing lightbulbs on my Suburban. Today I went to AutoZone and Julie was working at the register she sensed my trepidation and volunteered to help me change both of them because of the design she had a couple questions about exactly how to reach the bulbs. Fantastic customer service. We travelled to Breckenridge from Texas and my battery went out. No place in Breckenridge would give us the time of day to even check if the problem was my battery or alternator. Adrian was very friendly on the phone and helped us get a new battery on my car when we got there. There was also a lady inside that was not quite as friendly. Her customer service could improve, but I would come back here and recommend this place to anyone due to Adrian's awesome attitude and helpfulness. read more

The WORST customer service at this location. They can't be bothered with returns when someone is on lunch with 2 guys behind the counters. The lady was an absolute jerk from the moment I came in. She treated me like crap from the second I walked up to be helped. I was told to come back in a couple hours so I did. Was told to come back on my 2nd trip in to the store in another hour if i wanted to be helped. All i wanted to do was return parts that were wrong from online order. Today started out as a rough day...and on a Friday no less! I was driving to work and the Subaru (borrowing from my mom while my VW gets repaired) decided to die on Stephens Way. There was no where to pull off at and I was blocking traffic. I am not having a good few weeks with vehicles it seems. Many people stopped to ask if I was okay, which was kind of them, but I wasn't. I'm one of this women who loses it when it comes to automotive stuff. I'm going to sound sexist here but I'm an office lady, automotive stuff is for males! Not to say that women can't love or be good at mechanics or automotive. Heck, I am trying to learn to work on my bikes...but not cars! Thank goodness I have a mother and a few brothers who are mechanics. Well, this nice local named Sean stopped to help me. he was truly a blessing! He mentioned a few things about the gas vapors since I had just fueled up the night before headed home from Denver. We tried that, didn't work. Then he said we should try to jump it. Now in my VW I have my jumper set my brother got me for Christmas. However, there is no jumper cables in the Subaru. So Sean says be right back and goes to get them from his wife's car. He hooked it up and sure enough the Subaru wanted to go. The minute he took them off...the car died. We decided he was going to follow me over to Auto Zone, leaving the portable jumper box hooked up and taking the back way so I could go slow. We get there and Auto Zone guys are busy but super helpful! The Auto Zone guy hooks up his meter and says, yep it is the battery. Thank goodness because an alternator is an expensive damn part! Yes, I do know this. So $130 later and a new battery all set. Sean was wonderful and such a great Samaritan. He took it off, hooked the new one up and everything. I didn't want to be cheesy by just saying thank you for EVERYTHING he did so I gave him $20. I also thanked the Auto Zone guy, he said he couldn't accept a tip but does appreciate our regular business (we are in the computer). I personally like Auto Zone, I read an article in the Summit Daily where a woman compared it to Walmart. Hardly. I have gone to the local Car Quest, I feel their customer service lacks BIG TIME. I have been in there a few times and I have yet to have someone ask 'can I help you'? When I walk into Auto Zone, they always ask, even if they are with a customer. They say 'be right with you ma'am'. That is good business! I like their prices and I feel overall their products are a good value. They might not always have OEM stuff, but customer service is key in business. I have been to NAPA and I don't feel they know anything about anything. Seriously! I went to get oil and asking about 5W-30 over 10W-30 for winter time and they seemed awestruck that I knew there is a difference. Yes, I have brothers who have tried (tried being key-word) to educate me. Some things stick, some things don't. Point being is, though I am a female and I don't know a lot about cars, I'm not stupid and I am resourceful. Be honest, be truthful, be straight-forward. Don't try to sell me something I don't need or want. Auto Zone you get a 4 out of 5 star for sure! You really helped today and it made me not break down into a screaming fit. Thank you!!! read more

We just moved to Silverthorne with one vehicle. Our SUV wouldn't start. AAA came out and couldn't help. We talked to Land Rover Service Department in Denver and they suggested we replace the battery. I called AutoZone in Silverthorne and Lupe, their Service Manager, was exceptional. She was extremely helpful in identifying what we needed, making the purchase and helping us figure out how we could obtain the battery and return the old one, since we don't have a working vehicle. By far the friendliest and most helpful auto parts store I have ever been to. We spent about 12 hours with these guys trying to get our Toyota truck running and they went above and beyond helping us with everything from tools to advice to holding funnels and just letting us warm up in the shop and park our truck here overnight. It ended up all being in vain, looks like we blew the head gasket. Still, a great shop that I wish I lived closer to. read more

This place is terrible! I ordered a part from them that joins with another part in order to be a functional piece. They couldn't order the other part that I needed, so when I asked to be refunded for the first part that will not work. They told me that I have to come over to the store and actually pick the part up in order to be refunded. Obviously, I have no vehicle to get to the store which is an hour and half bus ride from me, since I need the part to make my car operational. I dealt directly with the manager his name is John.
