I took my battery in on 5/28/26 because it was dead from being immobile as I was fixing my car from a minor fender bender. Battery was dating 9/25, and always started up perfectly as it should since it's a new battery, perfectly functioning alternator, and no high powered sound system. I had high expectations since the manager helped me. When I picked the battery up after the, "charging" was completed, not only had he failed to do a simple task that's advertised as a free service, he gave me the run around telling me my battery was bad, and I should buy a new one, "but he would charge it and see how it goes". I'm not an idiot, when i plugged it back it it was still completely dead. I have 22 years of experience working on my own cars and have had 4 years of SCCA experience professionally racing. And during my time serving in the US Army, I was in charge of maintenance for one of our Humvee's doing meticulous inspections by the book, which was a cake walk for me. So I ended up ordering a jump pack and it started perfectly fine, and purchased my own external charger as well and surprise-surprise.. I had no issue. O'Reilly needs to higher a competent manager I expected integrity with his position but was met with none. The manager was just trying to up-sale a new battery that I know was perfectly functional. I was expected to be treated with at least a little respect having my disabled veteran credentials to my account but received a condescending round-around in return. Will never return to this O'Reilly again, test your luck in Salvation Army next door to them, you might find a working battery in there, at least you'll be treated with more respect. If you want it done right do it yourself, the manager was completely unethical and incompetent to simply charge a battery, all he did was check it with a voltage meter and kept it in back for 2 days. You should be ashamed of yourself. read more

Be wary of this location. One of O'Reilly's perks is being able to swap out batteries for you if you purchase the battery from them. However, the younger gentleman that works at this location didn't seem to want to do the extra work if he was able to get away with it. My girlfriend's car needed a new battery and we went here to purchase one. However, after buying it. We were told "We don't have the tools necessary to swap it out. You'll have to do it yourself." Luckily, we went over to the O'Reilly's at 24811 Western Ave in Lomita and Daniel and Adrian over there were able to correct this mistake very quickly. As they were able to swap out the battery in less than 10 minutes. They sounded a bit frustrated with the people at this location because they told us that they knew they had tools to complete a battery swap and the employee that helped us was just being lazy. So I would highly recommend going to that location over this one if you're able to. They're far more willing to help than the people at this location. read more

Noe was at the counter and helped me find the right part number then he went over and above the call of duty to help me install them right in the parking lot. When the light still did not work, he helped me to replace a burnt fuse and got me back on the road. I had a long day and the care that he demonstrated to me in helping me made my day. Great service! Needed new bulbs for my headlights and brake lights and went here. Great customer service- they looked up the correct bulbs for me, and replaced the easy to access bulbs for free. They won't replace the harder to reach bulbs which makes sense - and all in all it was a pleasant trip. Will go here again for my auto needs. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! the employees do not care about you or your car. i went in to get a rust sealant spray and was given one by an employee. he never asked what color my car was, so i assumed it was a clear spray. imagine my surprise when i get home, decide to do a test spray, and the paint comes out BLACK. i nearly spray painted my white car black because the employee couldn't be bothered to check if the product was colored or not. then i went back to return the spray and told another employee what happened. he didn't care. the guy who sold me the spray was standing at the next register and gave me a cheeky smirk that told me he did not care that he messed up and almost cost me hundreds in new paint. moral of the story: DO NOT SHOP HERE. i'm sure other locations are better, but this one is obviously poorly managed. read more

All I needed was a brake light in my back of my 2005 Honda. Both AutoZone and O'Reillys in Wilmington California said they would not do it. They would sell me the bulbs but I have to go somewhere else to have them put in. I then found a Pep Boys on PCH in Torrance. Do not waste your time is there. They are extremely disorganized and their bulbs even cost more than anywhere else. I then look for another O'Reilly's in the Torrance area. I found one this one on PCH, this one. I called and Roberto was so wonderful on the phone. He said he recommends changing the two bulbs, looked up my model and had in stock. He would help me put them in and the cost would just be $9.95 total that's for two bulbs and putting them in for me. He's doing it now. I know it's a simple job but because I'm older now and I have broken my wrist, I have no real flexibility in my right hand for screws and stuff so that's why I wanted someone to install them for me. Roberto just finished! It took under 10 minutes for him to do the two bulbs. What a love. He understands the importance of good customer service. I will NEVER go ti another parts store! I insisted he take a tip, and I told him what I had just gone through with other places and he simply excels in customer service and good business sense. Thank you! I needed to have my automobiles trouble codes detected. I went to the o'reilly's store at 1213 West Carson Street, Torrance, CA. 90502. I asked the two employees behind the desk if they could check my car's trouble codes. One of the employees asked me if the check engine light was on, I said no. That same employee told me that if the check engine light was not on, then the scan would not return any results. I asked this employee if he could check it anyways and he said no, it's a waste of time because without a check engine light being on it would not give any codes. Right then, I remembered that in the past I had problems with customer service at this same store. I left this o'reilly's store, got into my car in the parking lot and started to drive away. I looked back at the store and I could see those two employees standing at the windows staring at me driving away. I thought that was really strange behavior. I drove directly to AutoZone afterwards and asked the AutoZone employees the same question, the AutoZone employee walked me out to my car, plugged in his tool and found out that there was one code that came up. The AutoZone employee even took the extra step to print out the results for me. I will Never, Ever shop at o'reilly's auto parts store again! The o'reilly's auto parts company has just lost another customer! The o'reilly's store at 1213 West Carson Street Torrance, CA has the worst customer service that I have ever seen in any auto parts store! "Oh, oh, oh, O'Reilly".....dangit....earworm.... So I was next door at Michael's when I remembered I needed something important at the auto parts store. I asked the sales guy at O'Reilly's for one of those gadgets you use to break out your car windows if you're sinking underwater. He had no idea what I was talking about. I said, you know....if your car is going under in a lake & you can't get the window down to get out. He said, you're not giving me much to go on here.... I said, you're kidding..... This exchange went on for awhile. The guy told me you can remove a headrest & use the metal things to break the windows. (Good info, I didn't know that.) But.....in my nightmare dream my car was sinking so fast I wouldn't have wanted to mess with a headrest. A female sales rep walked by. I asked her for one of those thingies used to break out car windows. She knew exactly what I meant & guided me to the....last one on the shelf. Girls rule. It's called an emergency hammer, now I know. Not only does it break glass, it has LED flashers & a blade to cut through your seat belt. AND a mounting bracket to secure it on your console. Needed help with a suspected bad battery and had to drag it into the store. I was helped pretty quickly. They offered to test the fully drained battery and they set the expectation that it could take an hour to get results. I was able to get confirmation on a bad battery and a properly spec'd replacement in about 45 minutes. Great service, great pricing and consultation experience. Couldn't have asked for more unless they also offered a beer while I waited. read more

I frequent this location regularly when I need something. I've always had good experiences as they are knowledgeable and very helpful. So, My check coolant light came on in my car today and normally I can fix the issue myself, but I had never done the coolant before. I called O'Reilly's and spoke to Robert, and he said bring it down and I'll take care of it. So, I drove down. Robert was so nice sold me the coolant and also filled up the coolant in my car. I felt compelled to write this review after my visit here today. I went after a dealer visit because they recommended I change my wiper blades but knew better than to offer me their expensive options. After trying my best to Google the right ones, a woman came down the aisle to ask if I needed help. I told her I was looking for wipers for my car and we looked at the book to make sure I was getting the right ones. She went through a number of different options and told me which ones were on special but never attempted to sell me something only people that live in the snow would need. I appreciated her prompt and kind service. I will say, the last pair of wiper blades I purchased from Costco bc - omg, so cheap! What a great deal! - Except I couldn't actually get them onto my car, and instead of standing in that ridiculous return line they just went into the trash. So I asked the woman (I am so sorry, I completely forgot her name) if these were difficult to install and then she told me one of the parts people would INSTALL THEM FOR ME. WHAT?! A nice young man named Frank walked me out to my car and installed all 3 wiper blades, took my old ones for the trash and it took all of 5 minutes. It was probably something so small to them, but I truly appreciated not having to figure out (or care to figure out) how to replace my blades. Woot! read more

I needed to get new headlights for my car, so I came here to get H11 headlights & low lights for a Nissan Altima 2008. I decided to splurge on brighter bulbs, so they were pretty expensive at $47. I saw regular ones for about half that price, but I thought the brighter ones would be safer, especially since I don't have very good night vision. No wait in line on a Saturday afternoon to check out, and the guy behind the counter was friendly and made sure to remind me to use gloves when replacing the bulbs, because the oil from my hands could burn out the bulb. After I got home, I looked online at videos on how to replace the headlights and found out it was a pain the butt to do for a 2008 Altima, so I ended up going to a professional to get it done the following week instead. That was good that I could bring my own bulbs from here to get replaced, and he only charged me $20 for labor. read more

These guys are batting 1000 with me. On my last two trips they recommended an inexpensive headlight cleaner instead of the cumbersome expensive one and it worked flawlessly. The second time I had just returned from a coast to coast trip and my truck was completely crusted with bugs that even the car wash said would be difficult to remove. They directed me to a simple product from a company that consistently makes quality polished and the bugs literally melted off. Although their prices are higher than Costco, they have the products that FIT your car!! I went to Costco to pick up a car battery. I gave the girl my car's specs, she gave me a battery, and when I went to put it in, the terminals were in the wrong place. FAIL. EPIC FAIL. FAIL FAIL FAIL!!! Since they were already closed, I ran down to O'Reilly's and got the correct battery. I had it installed and the refund for the old piece in under twenty minutes. I went to O'Reilly just now to get a new lightbulb for my daytime running lights. I found the lightbulb easily and the cashier was helpful - even looking up to make sure I was getting the right bulb for my vehicle. The reason for the one star is the manager!! It was so awkward while I was there. He was screaming at an employee "shut the f up" and dropping f bombs non stop. Even after the cashier told him I was in the store the f bombs continued. I think he was mad at the employee for too many bathroom breaks? It was hard to tell but the employee needs to find a new job and that manager needs to grow up. read more

I'll start by saying that foreign cars are ridiculous - I've almost had to go to the dealer / mechanic several times for stupid things like windshield wiper replacement, blown out blinker bulbs, etc. They just make it too hard to do it yourself? This is where Kragen Torrance comes in. Thomas is and has always been THE MAN. He has actually come out to my car with tools and replaced bulbs and wipers for me. He spent at least 1/2 an hour modifying wiper blades to fit my car. This guy is nice as as helpful as can be-to the point that I offered him money on 2 occasions. He refused both, maybe b/c that is Kragen's policy, or maybe because he's just a great guy. At any rate, I would highly recommend this place, and especially Thomas. read more

I went into this store to purchase some bulbs for my Mercedes, and this is my closest store. I loved it when it was kragen, but now it is O'Reilly Auto Parts and the service has taken a big hit. I waited in line for a good while, and when I finally got to the counter I was helped by a guy who looked up the bulb and showed me where they were. I was not sure it waas the right one, so I asked him what I should do. He suggested getting the bulb from the car, which I told him was parked right in front of the store. I went out to get the bulb and when I came back less than a minute lateer, the guy had put the bulbs back on the hook and was helping another customer! Needless to say, I had to wait again, The guy told me he "thought I left" WHAT? He asked me to get the bulb, and I was gone less than a minute! I bought the bulbs, but I left with a bad taste in my mouth. I will never shop in this store again. I will drive to the next closest location which is in Lomita. OR, I will simply shop at Auto Zone. I still recommend O'Reilly Auto Parts, but not this particular store. read more

Geeze, I've been coming here with my pop's since the 80's (Gawd I feel old) when it was Trak Auto. Then Trak was renamed to Kragen's and now O'Reilly. This store isn't all that big compared to VatoZone (AutoZone) and Pep Boy's (Manny, Moe, and Jack). Before the cashier used to be at the front of the store and now it is at the parts counter. You can get a lot of parts here from lights to brakes and carburetors (if you have a pre 80's car). I am not sure if they still do this or not but they can turn your brake rotors and they used to take in your old oil too. I came here last for some battery felt pads for my new battery for my pile since the battery crapped out. read more

Charlie and his crew, Nick on Sunday's, are as knowledgeable as they come. They can relate as they wrench on their own cars and understand the joys and frustrations. They're simple not just order takers--they offer solutions. Pep-Boys: A bunch of dudes who maybe know the intricacies of an air freshener and headlamp oil. Nothing is more frustrating then getting a bunk part from them (radiator) and having to pull it out and return it. Autozone: Wrong shoes in the package.
