My coolant hose detached from the outlet. I was j at the QuikTrip when I assessed this and was basically next door to an auto repair shop. I called them and they said no problem, they could fix it. Limped the car over there. Guy said that the car would have to cool down to work on it. Cool down? The hose and outlet are at the front of the engine compartment. In the last four days, I've worked on it, even in short sleeves when the engine was hot. Not a big deal at all. "How long will that take?" "About a half an hour." (I needed to be at work in 35 minutes.) "So after that, then what?" "We will need to fill it up with coolant and that will take about 30 minutes." What?!!! 30 minutes to fill the system up with coolant. Does he think I'm ignorant or stupid or something? It would take a whole 5 minutes max to fill the car up with coolant. Nope, I'm just leaving this place. Looked at maps and an Autozone was close by on Craycroft. They lent me tools. Guy there suggests changing the very difficult hose clamp for an easy one. I get everything fixed and new coolant in the system in 20 minutes. Every employee there was friendly and helpful. It seems that bad reviews on this place happened a few years back with better reviews in the last year or two. Must be better management. All I know is my experience with them was stellar. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Saturday morning, December 3 2022, was very rainy day! I was driving into Tucson on Kolb from the south and a rock hit my windshield and the drivers side wiper came off. I pulled over and though I had fixed it but it wouldn't stay on. I crept along in the pouring rain and fortunately spotted the AutoZone. I took the detached wiper in - it was missing a piece so I asked at the front desk if I could buy a new set of wipers. The manager overheard - he took a look at the wiper - found a small piece it needed, put it back on my car and sent me on my way with beautifully working wipers. He charged me nothing. Almost every time I go here I either get lied too or they sell me the wrong part. I would NOT RECOMMEND this business to friends and family. I have gone here on 6 different occasions and have had issues every time but 1. Most recently I ordered parts over the phone only to show up and it was like I had never placed the order at all. The employees generally seem like they aren't interested in helping, they are not friendly and they never once apologized. This is easily one of the worst businesses I have ever had to deal with. My recommendation would be to drive the extra distance to avoid this location. read more

I can't remember the name of the lady who helped me find a battery.. but she was really helpful & friendly. Chris M hooked the battery up for me which was really awesome. Very unpleasant experience. The person attending to me was a manager and he had the worst attitude. He acted like he was just so disgusted to have to help me. I would give it a one star but there was one employee that was helpful. Other staff was just horrible. I came twice for the same item! First time, the staff just showed me where it was located, I ask him which would be the one that my car needs, his reply "I don't know, you have to look". Just left there, Black Manger doesn't wait on people in order, I stood in their line as they took care of everyone else and when I finally said something he waved his hand at me as to say shut up be there in a minute and took another customer before me. I asked how it worked and he told me I should know, I said, "how would I know I don't come in here everyday?" He replied, "You should know." This place is a joke! We went in tonight looking for a particular item. We had already called a different store and they said this store had it in stock. When we walked in the store, the 2 boys working acted like we were interrupting their evening. No hello, no can we help you. Just blank stares. When we asked for the item, blank stares again. I finally told my husband that we would clearly need to help ourselves. One of them finally came out to just walk with us and offer no assistance! We had to call the other store back to ask the original guy what the item number was because they couldn't help us without it. After all that, it was not in stock and they were not able to order it. So we were going to buy another item and told the guy that was helping us. He said to go to the other counter and then he literally just walked away. No one was there to ring us up. So we just left.
