My coolant hose detached from the outlet. I was j at the QuikTrip when I assessed this and was…read morebasically next door to an auto repair shop. I called them and they said no problem, they could fix it. Limped the car over there. Guy said that the car would have to cool down to work on it. Cool down? The hose and outlet are at the front of the engine compartment. In the last four days, I've worked on it, even in short sleeves when the engine was hot. Not a big deal at all. "How long will that take?" "About a half an hour." (I needed to be at work in 35 minutes.) "So after that, then what?" "We will need to fill it up with coolant and that will take about 30 minutes." What?!!! 30 minutes to fill the system up with coolant. Does he think I'm ignorant or stupid or something? It would take a whole 5 minutes max to fill the car up with coolant. Nope, I'm just leaving this place. Looked at maps and an Autozone was close by on Craycroft. They lent me tools. Guy there suggests changing the very difficult hose clamp for an easy one. I get everything fixed and new coolant in the system in 20 minutes. Every employee there was friendly and helpful. It seems that bad reviews on this place happened a few years back with better reviews in the last year or two. Must be better management. All I know is my experience with them was stellar. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

They both were so lazy on my visits that neither one could be bothered to come out from behind the counter to help. Do yourself a favor and go to another location! This experience has been bugging me for over a week, so I had to express myself here…read more This was our first-time doing business with Aamco. We had a 2017 Nissan Sentra towed to this location for a clutch replacement. A certain price was given twice by two different people (the manager Eddie and his assistant), only for 600 extra dollars to be added to the total price on the day of pickup with no explanation until we arrive in person. We had many repairs done to the car at other repair shops for different issues right before we contacted Aamco, and we hadn't experienced a situation like this. I fully understand things happen & price could potentially increase as progress is being made towards the repair(s), and the labor cost included. Clutches are costly to replace, and the shop gets busy, we're not the only customers. I get it, but this felt deceitful. It's just disappointing to not be updated and blindsided by over half a thousand dollars extra cost upon pickup. We did speak with Eddie about this, he seemed polite, and understood. He explained the increase & apologized for not keeping us updated. He even gave us an offer for a free oil change in the future, which we won't be going back for, unfortunately. We just don't trust this place by what happened. Customer service is number one, & that includes good communication & transparency for us to want to come back & support. Thank you.

Did it come to more than their original price? Yep. They replaced the harmonic balancer (crankshaft pulley) and serpentine belt. It wasn't till then they would know the power steering pump was 'belly-up'. They topped all the fluids off and were taking the car to the carwash. The fluid all leaked out before they could even get to the corner of the building. Oh, I could have said, "Don't fix that.", but have you ever tried to drive a car when the power steering isn't working? It's much different from the older cars that had no power steering to begin with. It takes 3 men, a boy and a small dog to turn the steering wheel. In addition, it probably would have destroyed the new serpentine belt in a hurry.

I chose to take my car to Borst Automotive because of the excellent service I received last year…read more Unfortunately, that level of service has completely disappeared. The little touches that made them stand out are gone. They no longer provide a complimentary car wash after service, they let go of the driver who used to take customers home, and none of the management team that was there last year is still there. The entire atmosphere of the shop has changed, and not for the better. I explained to Fernando, the general manager, that my vehicle had mostly been sitting in my garage since July and that I wanted a routine service along with an inspection of a specific issue I had asked them to evaluate. Instead, I was sent an estimate for nearly $5,700 that didn't even address the repairs I specifically brought the car in for. Several items were marked as "critical," and the estimate instructed me to call with any questions. When I called to review the estimate, Fernando immediately responded, "Didn't you get the report I sent?" I explained that I had, but I'm not a mechanic and wanted someone to explain what the findings actually meant. He told me I needed both my front and rear suspension replaced because of the control arms. However, when I pointed out that the inspection report only said the manufacturer recommended the rear suspension and didn't identify it as a problem, he suddenly backed off and said it wasn't necessary at this time. The conversation became increasingly frustrating. His tone was pushy, dismissive, and argumentative. He accused me of having the vehicle serviced somewhere else in November and implied I hadn't maintained it properly. I explained that the car had been sitting in my garage from July until March and that the only reason it was seen elsewhere was because the battery died and needed to be replaced. He then insisted that I had been driving the car extensively because it had accumulated 2,000 miles. I had to explain that those 2,000 miles were driven over an entire year, which is actually very low mileage. At that point, I realized I was arguing with the person inspecting my car about facts that he could easily verify from the service records. That was enough for me. I sent the inspection report and estimate to a trusted friend who is an experienced mechanic in another state. He immediately told me that the quoted prices were roughly double what they should be and advised me not to have the work done there. I have since found another mechanic who treated me with respect, took the time to explain what my car actually needs and quoted much more reasonable prices.
