Always a pleasure! I don't know why I waste my time with Autozone across the street! This location has always been good to me.

I called them and they said no problem, they could fix it. Limped the car over there. Guy said that the car would have to cool down to work on it. Cool down? The hose and outlet are at the front of the engine compartment. In the last four days, I've worked on it, even in short sleeves when the engine was hot. Not a big deal at all. "How long will that take?" "About a half an hour." (I needed to be at work in 35 minutes.) "So after that, then what?" "We will need to fill it up with coolant and that will take about 30 minutes." What?!!! 30 minutes to fill the system up with coolant. Does he think I'm ignorant or stupid or something? It would take a whole 5 minutes max to fill the car up with coolant. Nope, I'm just leaving this place. Looked at maps and an Autozone was close by on Craycroft. They lent me tools. Guy there suggests changing the very difficult hose clamp for an easy one. I get everything fixed and new coolant in the system in 20 minutes. Every employee there was friendly and helpful. It seems that bad reviews on this place happened a few years back with better reviews in the last year or two. Must be better management. All I know is my experience with them was stellar. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

They both were so lazy on my visits that neither one could be bothered to come out from behind the counter to help. Do yourself a favor and go to another location! We had a 2017 Nissan Sentra towed to this location for a clutch replacement. A certain price was given twice by two different people (the manager Eddie and his assistant), only for 600 extra dollars to be added to the total price on the day of pickup with no explanation until we arrive in person. We had many repairs done to the car at other repair shops for different issues right before we contacted Aamco, and we hadn't experienced a situation like this. I fully understand things happen & price could potentially increase as progress is being made towards the repair(s), and the labor cost included. Clutches are costly to replace, and the shop gets busy, we're not the only customers. I get it, but this felt deceitful. It's just disappointing to not be updated and blindsided by over half a thousand dollars extra cost upon pickup. We did speak with Eddie about this, he seemed polite, and understood. He explained the increase & apologized for not keeping us updated. He even gave us an offer for a free oil change in the future, which we won't be going back for, unfortunately. We just don't trust this place by what happened. Customer service is number one, & that includes good communication & transparency for us to want to come back & support. Thank you.

Like the Discount Tire of batteries, they will test any battery for free - and I have leaned on that service to check on everything from key fobs and watch batteries to large "brick" power sources (think large toys; home/alarm backup batteries; etc.) to vehicle batteries. I like how they always explain the test results -- i.e., the voltage vs amperage and the significance of the "cold cranking power." I forget every time (and they kindly don't remember I forgot :) One of their neatest offerings is the "lifetime" battery replacement for select gadgets. For roughly double the cost of a one-time replacement you get lifetime replacement. Either way, they replace the battery for you as part of the battery purchase. I use the lifetime option for my old school watches (think Timex/Casio). Bear in mind each device and owner are carefully registered in their database so that there is no way to "double-dip" by improperly switching a dead device with the device you got the replacement-warranty on. They carry virtually every type of battery in-house too so you have immediate replacement options. Their dates (always check) are consistently "fresh" - meaning expirations are far into the future.

I came in with the air pod and I asked the young lady to please help me to buy the correct battery and help me install it. She was very rude and said if she changed the battery it would be twenty dollars plus the cost of the battery, she stated it was company policy. Is that the way to treat customers, let alone a person with disabilities? I will not be going back. Kathy Campbell Borchers
