After going in to 2 AutoZones today looking for a couple of things I needed, this Auto Zone on Victory blvd. had what I was looking for and truly delivered in every way. Great Customer service by a couple of their employees. They were kind and very helpful. I needed 4 placemats for my car's interior and absorbent mat/towels (pack of 6) to place under the car due to a lot of oil leakage that I have been having in my garage. Store was nicely organized, clean, everything was fully stocked. Got what I needed and paid less than $45.00 in total including tax. Autozone has always come through throughout the years that I have been shopping for the old car that I have. It is not a good feeling to drive an old car, but that's what I have. Had a pretty disappointing experience with Daniel M. while purchasing tire chains. From start to finish, he was extremely rude and unpleasant while assisting me. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but his attitude made the interaction unnecessarily uncomfortable. What made it more disheartening was noticing that his name tag indicated he might be a manager. I would expect a higher level of professionalism in that role. This experience stood out in a negative way considering I've mostly encountered helpful employees that go above and beyond. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because this location actually had the chains in stock when others didn't. But even though I was able to find the parts I needed online, I came to AutoZone to make sure they were exactly right--and Claudia's expertise got me windshield wipers that are BETTER than right. She knew my make and model (Fiat 500) and it's idiosyncrasies--like a very curved windshield. She knew a way to make the wipers more efficient by choosing slightly different sizes than specified so they have more consistent contact against the glass for better cleaning. But she didn't stop there--she took them out to my car, installed them, let me test them, and then even changed them for something better. All before she charged me! So once I paid, I KNEW I was getting the best possible part for my car. She was beyond knowledgeable--and friendly, too. I can not recommend this location enough. My battery died up the street. They helped me to uninstall the old battery which was super corroded. And replaced it with a new battery. It took awhile to get the old battery out bc it was so badly corroded. Toby, Rick & Leslie went above and beyond to help me. Please ask for them if you ever need any help or have any questions. This is the worst auto zone in la. The employees are rude, get mad if asked a question, purposely ignore customers in line that are waiting to pay while they walk back and forth talking to each other behind the registers, and THEY LITERALLY CLOSE HOURS EARLY EVERY SINGLE DAY. Online it says they are open until 10, and right now I just showed up at 720PM and the workers were all in the store on their phones and had the door locked and literally motioned with their hands to go away. I usually wouldn't care, but this is probably the fifth or sixth time this has happened over the last couple years . This store and everyone who works here is awful to deal with, and after tonight I refuse to give this corporation another penny . Terrible branch of auto zone, and everyone working here should be let go if they expect to see a profit at this location. The girl who is there all the time and who I believe is the manager is awful, and so is the black guy with dreads who other people have mentioned, as well as every single other guy who works here. I've only had bad experiences with these sales associates. I'm leaving one star for the cashier whose name I didn't get but he is black with dreads and made me feel really uncomfortable while he was checking out my items. He was totally inappropriate and made me regret even going there due to him making inappropriate jokes at the fact I was using my dads phone number for points and he kept saying "your daddy is gonna get mad you're using his points" or your daddy this your daddy that and I was literally just trying to pay and leave but he kept saying things like that until I said something back and it was really uncomfortable. I got this rude Latino guy looking at me like I stole the stuff, I asked him to check with my number since I gave it for the battery. Unfortunately, I had these people on my good list, for my go to car place but ...... came in on Saturday evening was looking for brakes for my car, rear brakes that is and they didn't have them in stock. Nice guy working the counter, said that they would come in on Sunday, so I went ahead and paid for them and "supposedly" ordered them. I didn't pick them up on Sunday because it slipped my mind and I forgot. To make the long story short, called the store like three days later spoke to the manager he says no we don't see you in the system. Went in the next day and one of the managers- hector in a very abrupt manner says that the receipt that was given to me was not the correct one, it has to be a special order receipt... blah, blah, blah. Non- sense. They had me running around to another store and when I went back to get a refund for the parts, they said no we can't give you your money back because you don't have the correct receipt. Really bad customer service. Look at your cameras and the inventory and you will know that you haven't had that part since who knows when. Don't make customers run around and waste their time. Apparently, Marvin that works there should know better because he has a lot of experience and he should have not done this, according to thus manager. This manager Hector was suppose to call me back and it has been 2 weeks and still no call back. I did get my money back because my boyfriend ended up going there to explain the situation. read more

I mean seriously, it's a car part store, how can the employee not know the difference. As a result, he fried my 2010 Lexus. Great customer service! I was on my way out of town to visit family when I noticed one of my headlights were out. I came to this location to buy a new light and received the best customer service! The cashier was helpful with helping me find the right one and even offered to have someone help me install it. No one was available at the time to help so I suggested I come back later after I got coffee. David F. decided to go over and beyond by delaying his lunch break to help me replace the broken light. This would be zero stars but that's not an option. I went there on two separate occasions to buy a battery. The first time I was told that Bc it was dark outside they couldn't test my battery. The second time the store was empty (no customers), I was told they couldn't change my battery Bc there was no one to do it. Then after selling me a battery they told me I'd have to buy the parts and change it myself. Oh did I mention the battery was overpriced? I went to car quest down the street and battery was less expensive and they also provided loaner tools. They don't offer battery replacement service but at least they loan you the tools. The customer service here is terrible. I will never come here again nor recommend this place to anyone. read more

I replaced the radiator, thermostat and the water pump all at once and all I needed was that hose to hit the road for a +500 miles road trip. They were open, it was 10:30pm. This comment is 100% dedicated to Edwin. I needed a part for my 2003 Tahoe which was throwing the ever popular Large EVAP Leak, right before I needed it SMOGed. I called the store to confirm availability of the part, and Edwin ordered it from the warehouse and it was there the same day. EVEN BETTER, I was racing against the clock to deliver it to the mechanic and have it installed by 5:30pm. The guaranteed delivery time is 6pm. Edwin promised me he would call me AS SOON as the truck arrived and he had the part in his hands. He did, and I raced over there and got back to the mechanic in time to get my truck back that night. ive veen going to the van nuys store on Victory and hazeltine for years. However,my last few visits have been very disappointing. Ive been lied to, they refuse to honor my warranty for my battery, and when ive left batteries to charge, they have not charged them. Hector never charged noth batteries ive left and Staecey and Daniel have been rude. Staecey is supposedly a manager according to another employee. Ive even neen told after a month, I no longer have a warranty,which i know is a lie. I bought a $300.00 generator from this store that doesnt even work. headphones that dont work etc. At this point, i have even seen I am not treated with the respect that male customers have received. I do not appreciate the disrespect. I have checked my batteries when I come home, and they are dead after being charged and left overnight and i pick them up before they close. They are also supposed to close at 10 pm yet they are locking doors at 930 pm. Best part is when filing a complaint with the CEO, you cant.
