I made a online purchase for store pick up on a headlight restore kit. When I put in the order it said it would be ready in 30 minutes but 3 hours went by and I didn't get any notification so I called the place. Will (I believe that was his name) was nice enough to help me out. He said sometime a person would pick it out but forget to push the button that said it's ready for pick up, so that's what happen. I wasn't in any rush so I just went the next day in the morning to pick it up. It didn't take long for me to get my item when I arrived at the store when they just open. PROBABLY READ THIS BEFORE BUYING A PART!!! HORRIBLE STORE, only one person had good customer service, and when trying to get help, utterly useless and unprofessional/RUDE! After giving all the information needed to find the right part for my car, I asked if it's refundable (just in case it wasn't the correct one), they reassured me that it was. When the part arrived and didn't fit my car, I went to return it since it was 181 DOLLARS! When i arrived, they told me since they received it from another store, they didn't know if they could refund it. I told them the guy who sold it to me guaranteed me that it's refundable BEFORE PURCHASING. When my boyfriend called to ask about the returned that same morning, they told him now it was a long process to return it and he simply couldn't do it as they're were customers in the store. When my boyfriend ask for the manager since he obviously stated he couldn't help, he got all defensive and started to sweet talk him calling "brother" and trying to cover his ass. My boyfriend simply just want to speak to the manager about why they said it was refundable when we bought it and now they're saying something different. FINALLY, they called back apologizing and refunded it. HOWEVER IT WASNT THE END OF IT. After a week and some days passed by, my money was still not returned. When asking why they didn't return the money, they didn't know. Eventually I believe the female manager rudely responded that it's was a bank issue. I told them it couldn't be a bank issue because banks don't hold your money if it's getting return, they would never reject a return credit or money, as I confirmed this with my bank's associate. When asking, what happens now since My bank confirmed they haven't received no refunded credit on their side, they refused to help at all, stating they cant refund the money again since they already did it once. So in the end, I LOST 181 DOLLARS FROM A PART I RETURNED!!!! AND THE ONLY WAY I RECEIVED MY MONEY BACK WAS BY DISPUTING THE TRANSACTION WITH MY BANK. So overall, these people literally are straight up bs. They tell u one thing, then change their minds, and when trying to figure out what's going on (since 181 dollars isn't just couch money), they respond to you rude and unprofessional and simply will tell u we can't refunded your money again bc there nothing we can do. Simply take your business somewhere else, I found the CORRECT part for 100 dollars cheaper at O'Reilly and AutoZone, so please do you're OWN research. For the one only guy the was helpful and nice, you know who u are, thanks for being better than your coworkers. Other than that wouldn't recommend. read more

Not a good place to buy parts . The workers all have an attitude. The manager Will always seems bothered when you ask for help. The lady always has a bad face. Just go to autozone. After driving my Jeep around all weekend, I came home Sunday evening and my heater hose 5/8 Elbow Connector broke and sprayed antifreeze everywhere. I figured it's a small part Autozone to the rescue! Boy was I wrong! It's literally a 4 dollar part and somewhat common. I called five Autozones and visited two. When calling, I got hung up on on some calls and inside the store the people that worked there were unhelpful and had no idea what this part was... Not a single person has a good attitude in the store , not just that but they'll be 7-8 employees working there and they won't even greet you or say I'll be with you in just a moment they'll literally just sit there waiting for you to say something and then cop an attitude when you do. The dude who sold me my wipers helped me install it without a charge. They feel like a mom and pop operation where the middle aged man helping me out was joking around with his fellow employees and it just caught me in a really good mood. It's too bad I can't give a negative star. My son was sent to this store this afternoon by another location to pick up a part that had been ordered online. The store where he was due to pick the part originally told my him they didn't have the part and he'd have to go to a different store to pick it up. They marked item as sold and gave him a receipt, told him show it to the person at the Van Nuys store and sent him on his way. Folks in the Van Nuys store were rude and suspicious of the story. One of clerks flat-out called him a lair and said "you're not going to shortchange my store". Then the three of them proceeded to tell him to leave. Never once did they offer to look up his order, never once did they offer to call the other store and verify the receipt, never once did they treat him with the respect he deserves. When I called the store to ask what happened and how they could justify treating someone like this, I was put on hold for several minutes and eventually disconnected. There are a lot of other parts stores in the area with the same selection and prices, so really the only thing that should differentiate a store is the customer service and this store fails. read more

I went on their site looking for a starter, i found one for a good price, $90 with 30 core pay. I thought great, I even checked the box for exact fit, it was exact fit for my vehicle. So I go to pick it up at advance auto and they charged me $165.00, I said no way that on carquest site the starter was 130 core pay included. He goes no its 165.00. Very disappointed that hard working people like myself have to put up with price gouging because I have to work and feed me and my family and I need you vehicle to do so. Today I called carquest at around 1:50 pm and asked if they would resurface brake disc, the guy who answered the phone says yes and quoted me at $12.50 for each so start opening apart the rear brake and uninstalled the disc from the car and called Lyft to get a ride to their location. When I got there approximately an hour later from my time of phone call, saw 2 people behind the desk working. One without a mask sitting behind computer and the other standing next to him with a mask on and teaching him about something on the computer. They asked me to wait till the guy without mask put a mask on and asked me what I need, i showed him the disc that need it to be resurface. he told me it will get ready tomorrow so I insist that i need them today and he did not tell me about this over the phone and I do need them today make long story short he accept the job and took the disc and gave a paper that looked like need it to be signed and whet to back of the shop and did not say what to do with the paper, so I asked the othe guy about it and he replied with a very rudely attitude you were talking to him right. So I waited for the 1st guy that I was talking to after about 5 min he came back and I asked him do I need to sign this paper or not, he said no and asked me come back in a hour to get the disc, when I went back to pickup my disc I asked him if he was a manager he replied no and the rude guy was a manager. An advise to the manager of that rude guy that is also a manager is that answering customers with 3 simple word, thats your receipt would be much shorter and nicer as a manager in your place of business than you were talking to him right. Your manager need some more manager in training to make a better customer relationship. Hope your having a better day MR RUDE manager. read more

First this review is coming from an automotive technician of 13+ years. My clutch broke at my house and I can't get to my shop to order parts or replace my clutch. I called around looking for a specific brand clutch and located it here I got them to match the price and ordered the clutch. When I arrived the price of the clutch wasn't adjusted and the person helping me named WILL.. not william.. Will, was very rude talked to me very poorly and in my opinion from spending many years in this industry greatly lacks customer service skills. I ended up calling a place I would have gone to if I had transportation and more time named BMA auto parts. They get their parts from the EXACT SAME VENDOR. Bma wants $98 for the clutch and Car quest wants $138. Yes he ended up adjusting the price but I feel like because I walked in wearing shorts and flip flops he felt like he could treat me like an unknowing ignorant customer. The only cool person in this store is "William" not the bald headed guy WILL. Everybody else in these store lack customer service they leave everybody on hold for like 20 mins. Took off just enough material to make them like new, and with a fast turn around. definitely the place to go when you need knowledgeable people, and certain services performed. read more

Over 20 years buying auto parts for all my vehicles and I never had a very bad experience with any of the employees in this store, but this time a guy called Will- (Not Willliam) Cashier: WE143431 according my receipt# 1018122, he was rude when I tried to return a battery/core, so I did prefer loosing the $22.00 of the core because of his very bad attitude. After the service I got from this guy, I will never ever come back to purchase anything to this place anymore. I lost $22.00 and they lost a 21 years customer.
