I booked an appointment for 12:00pm and waited for almost 3hrs they didn't do anything from my car, the guys who are late comers get there car done first. I don't think this branch worked based on schedules! Not satisfied on my a$$ hrting sitting down w/this chair. They prioritize based on your car and how you look like! Lol never coming back to this place! The service i asked is only Changed oil and alignment. D*mn this guys really prioritize those they know they get them $$$. And after i visited here for alignment and oil changed; the car ac recirculation was damaged and i observed it for like a week, my ac recirculation wont work no more, it doesn't stay long. I came in today with a leak in a tire. I had a nail plugged the week before and it didn't work. The salesperson said I needed a new tire and I agreed. I mentioned that my tires could be difficult to find, but, he said he found one and it would be delivered to the store in an hour. I came back when the tire was delivered and waited about an hour for them to install it which was totally acceptable. When there were done I took a look and it was the wrong tire that didn't match the other 3. It was visually easy to tell it was the wrong type of tire before I looked at the tire to confirm the specs were incorrect. There are letters and numbers on tires that let you know exactly what they are...I was confounded that they would charge me $500 to install the wrong tire and make me wait around. I can only imagine it is incompetence on their part, or they were trying to sell me the wrong tire to make a couple bucks??? either way, I will never go back to this store. my time and money are valuable and they don't seem to understand that. Please don't try to sell me a tire for $500 with an install if it doesn't match the rest of my tires. Unacceptable. read more

My wife took my my daughters car in because the air conditioner was not working. They said it needed a new compressor and suggested a new condenser also. The estimate was $1,700. It was an older car and not worth that. My wife drove the car from California to Texas without ac. When she got it to me I did some checking. Turns out all it needed was a $10 relay. Either that is incompetence or a scam. I called to voice my displeasure and the manager was receptive and returned the diagnostic fee. I try to never use chain companies for this reason but at the time that is all we had available. They've always taken great care of my car, and the prices seem fair. I used to always go to the VW dealership but my favorite one closed during COVID and I had to find a new place. The other VW in the area was consistently disappointing (Galpin -- worst at scheduling and getting you out of there in day for a simple oil change and then being so rushed they forget something and I had to go back). The people at this Firestone are all really good to work with and have kept my sweet old girl running in great shape. (I have a 1999 VW New Beetle.) Whats the point in paying more money for quality tires and warranty..if everytime I need to use my tire warranty I go and they say they are busy!! This is why I will never buy or recommend from this place. The guys who work there are rude. The manager or whatever he is said he couldn't patch my tire until end of day..because it was only 2 mechanics. For a tire patch? This is the 3rd time this happens to me. Store is in a good location and easy to find. I got all of my tires changed and an alignment. Honestly, the price wasn't bad verus what my dealership was trying to charge me. The waiting area and rest room needs some love. I ended up taking an Uber home to wait instead and I'm glad I did. I had an appointment first thing in the morning but it took them almost 4 hours to do the service. For tires, that seemed a little long to me. An hour to hour and a half tops. All the employees that I did interact with were all very nice and polite. I would go back but maybe at a time when it's less busy. read more

Went in to get vehicle inspection done for Lyft. It takes five minutes to do. The manager tells me it's gonna cost $30 & take two hours. I said OK so I can come back and do it when you're ready. Very disappointed with this location and with Firestone in general. We had an appointment at the location in Studio City and they were too busy. So they rescheduled. We were very upset. Their online appointment system doesn't work. We used to go to the Lankershim location and always got helped the day of. Just needed an oil change and air in the tires (purchased from them last year). So we drove to this location (not the best area, kinda despressing) and the parking lot was empty. We went inside and told them what we needed, they said the car would be done by 6 pm. It was 1 pm! That was mind blowing. Seriously? You don't have lots of customers and can't do an oil change in an hour or 2? We were willing to wait, but not that much since it was ridiculous! Since when you need so many appointments for an oil change? It used to be so simple, drive, wait, get it done in 1-2 hours or less. They offered another time for next day but we passed! And will pass again next time we need work done at our car. Firestone is out, had many bad experiences with them lately. Most expensive place ever! I had to come here for an emergency to patch up a few weeks ago then I had to come back two weeks later for the same tire! It cost me $61 for the patch up of the tire! Two days later the tire light came on again and there was a problem With the same tire! Coincidence?! I don't know but kind of sketch! So now..... I'm out $61 plus another $208. Like I said I came here over emergency cause my regular tire store was closed. Wouldn't surprise me if I got a nail here at the tire store. I am very dissatisfied with our recent visit to Firestone. We have been a customer for many years and have bought many tires and other services at this location. We went in for a patch on a tire that did not have a lot of wear or tear on it. The nail was very small and directly in the middle of the tire. We were told they could not do anything and we would have to purchase a new tire. We felt like they were only trying to make a sale and did not want to waste time patching our tire. He offered to fill it with air and told us to find a tire shop that was willing to patch it. They left my wife with a flat tire and refused to help unless she bought a brand new tire. We are going to repair it somewhere else and photograph it so we can prove the tire was fixable. We plan on never returning. read more

I came into the shop with a lot of hope and a dash of resentment (last Firestone experience was not the best at the Lankershim location, not here). Prior to my visit, I called in to talk to a mechanic about my situation - long story short - my car battery was stolen the night before in front of my parent's house - I wanted to make sure that this location had my battery (other places didn't have it). They let me know that they had one in stock and to come in when ready! I came in they took care of me so quickly and I was out the door and back in less than 30 min. I left with my car now with a new battery, I went to the gas station to fill up my car, but sadly came to a new issue that the assholes that stole my battery ALSO messed with my gas intake. They did a number on the tubing! I called Firestone again and let them know what happened and they were empathetic and told me to come back. I came back, now they had 4 guys looking at the situation of my car and they explained what probably happened. They said they're going to look into the right tube and will call me when it's ready. A few hours later, I come back into the shop, pick up my car and one of the gentleman there handed me my keys and said "Have a good day!" I said, "Wait, how much is the service and part?" I have to be honest my needs weren't met with this Firestone location. I asked for a simple inspection only to see that not only was it not done properly, but I was charged 20 dollars for it as well. Wasted a whole 2 hours waiting in the store for nothing. Not to mention the recommendations were very basic like, "replace air filters, break fluid exchange, wheel alignment, and heat/cooling system". All these didn't help me the issues my vehicle was having. So I contacted a great friend of mine, who works at the Firestone in Montclair, him and his team took care of my needs right away. Not only did I receive a proper inspection that highlighted what needed to get done, but I also got complimentary a tire rotation to! All this at NO COST!! The difference between the two Firestones I went to, the Montclair location valued my customer needs but the North Hollywood location did not. So I encourage anyone to go to a different Firestone location because the one off Laurel Canyon in North Hollywood is a rip off. read more

I came here for an oil change because I pass thru here often so I might as well give this business a try as I've heard so much about them on ads. As far as price goes it wasn't that much different than other places I've had oil changes but what I didn't like was the constant upsell here. I felt like they didn't just want to let me get just an oil change, they recommended I did a transmission flush, replace one of the bearings, recommended I change out one of the bands. When I asked if it was necessary they just Said it was preventative maintenance and I still had Miles I could drive without doing those things. When I didn't want to add none of those services he started getting upset. I felt pressure and all I wanted was an oil change. Besides that the work was done accordingly. read more
