I have been going to Auto Zone on San Thomas Aquino, Campbell for years and like the store. They always have lots of interesting items and I really like the Duralast Car Batteries. The staff is always helpful, especially when I need a part for my car. Recently, I purchased a few parts and didn't get to install them right away. When I did-decided they were not what I wanted. I have never returned anything from Auto Zone but decided to try. The counter person was so nice, no questions asked, full refund. I am now a loyal customer and guarantee you I will be buying many items from them in the future. The store is very clean, well stocked and has just about any specialty tool you need. I have no idea why this happens but every time I come here whether it's in my car or motorcycle there's always an employee talking shit about my vehicle to another employee but they don't know it's me who owns it. I buy a brand new motorcycle and go to pickup some parts, I hear some kid talking shit about it. I buy a new car and get supplies to change my oil. My riding lawnmower battery died after 6 years of usage so I jumped on the ol interweb to see if they are available locally, lo and behold AutoZone had about four of them left just 2 miles from me. When I arrived I noted all the typical new "COVID" signs; I walked in and noted the front service desk was all taped up "like a crime seen" the employee saw that I was carrying a battery and told me to go ahead and lay on the counter. I told him that I looked up the battery on the Internet and it stated that this location had some. He looked it and said, we sure do and they are on sale for $44. I said sweet!! Because the last one I bought that was the same make and model cost me $150. 6 years ago "this one is brand new not reconditioned and comes with a warranty" Long story short, I was in and out in no time flat with exactly what I wanted with a great price and great service. 5 stars read more

They want me to pay for shipping the product back to them. They want to give me store credit which I don't need. Then they agreed to refund me the full amount. I check two weeks later my visa is only credited partial as they kept the shipping fee. I went to Auto Zone located in Tucson on Tangerine and Thornydale roads this afternoon to replace my car's battery. Zach helped me and installed the battery for me. I've worked with Zach the last four or five times I've been in the store and he has always provided great customer service. He's always been friendly, helpful and respectful. I'm not the most handy person and have come across other people who have been condescending or even disrespectful due to my lack of knowledge or experience. We had been driving for hours on a Friday - on our way to a memorial the next day - when our car started losing power. We were desperate for answers - pulled into this Auto Zone - they ran a diagnostics & found the Mass Air Flow Sensor error. Would you believe that Marco and David walked us gals through the process of removing the filter box - where a mouse had built a nest!! After cleaning the sensor, we were on our way!! Came here the other night for a few things and the 2 guys that were working were extremely helpful. They even gave me suggestions about products. They didn't try to upsell me because what I was going to buy was more expensive but the sold me by how good the products worked. As I was leaving because they were closing and the till was already counted and taken out of the register a lady walks in desperate need of a headlight. A little reluctant they helped her anyways. On a weekend, there was plenty of staff available and they were all working together to keep the line moving in an efficient manner. SERVICE: Francisco R was very friendly and patient. All we needed was to check out the car battery. He hooked it up and ran some tests. Even offered to tighten some small parts that he thought could help. I was very impressed by his demeanor. Bad, bad, service and experience. They offer one day shipping on certain items, but that isn't what you get. Not even an email to correct the issue. I contacted customer service and was only able to cancel what I paid for. No resolution for shafting me on not sending my part. This is a bad company. I attempted to resolve the issue and got zero customer service or resolution beyond them basically saying we will cancel your order. The guy said to come on down and he would take a look. I explained that I couldn't find my receipt, he said no problem that he knows they are AutoZone brand not to worry. Always disappointed when I go in there. Employees are unprofessional in attire and manners. Store always looks like they are behind in their duties. Unpresentable establishment. Bunch of kids that work there out of uniform and was surprised that the individual that rung me out wasn't even wearing professional attire that even resembled the uniform. No name tags. I thought he was a random kid talking to the employees. Didn't offer WITTDGR. Didn't ask for phone number or Autozone card. Nothing. Wonder if they would pass the sock test. This AZ is awesome, every time I need something, the dudes in the shop always make sure I have the right piece. They are always more than happy to come out and take a look at your car and give their advice as needed. This time I needed a light bulb and a holding mount for my head lights, the 2 guys working quickly found the bulb I needed and helped me locate it in store, they didn't have the mount that I needed in stock but they ordered it and said it would be there in a day or 2. Perfect! Changed the bulb in the parking lot and I was on my way. Returns are a breeze and I am always out the door with my receipt and a smile on my face, never a hard time! But then the manager stepped in to help (Alma at the Fallbrook location). She helped but was so rude! I got home so I could cool off, then called her to tell her she wasn't very nice. Horrible customer service! Was there an hour to pick up a part that I had already paid for. The assistant manager, A Mr Dodson, was a real jerk to me. He knew I was standing there waiting for me part and he refused to get it checked in so I could take it. Finally another employee had to take my part from him to get it checked in and let me have it. Just unbelievable super service. I stopped by this AutoZone the other day. My issue seemed simple, but it was not. I was just trying to replace a burnt out bulb in my 98 BMW. I took in the burnt out bulb and also had them check their computer data base. Now, I had replaced the entire rear light assembly, so the bulbs were not exact matches. Jacob, the manager, came out to my car and tested the new selected replacement bulb in the socket. But, also found out that the repair place had put the wrong wattage bulb in the socket. He tested all sockets and then correctly figured out which were the correct bulbs. Then when I went in to buy them, he came back out with me to install them and then tested all lights: tail, brake, backup and signal. Just fantastic customer service. Wonderful experience. All my future auto parts needs will be taken to this AutoZone store. Great satisfaction! Highly recommended! read more

So I called auto zone after buying a battery for my car from O reillys and realizing they don't even install or offer tools to change it. Sanam? (I'm sorry if I misspelled or got it wrong) but he answered the phone happily to help. He told me what car/model/year and told me pricing for the battery and warranty over the phone. It was definitely cheaper here and I also asked if they install it for you at the time of purchase. "Absolutely, why wouldn't we?" He replied. I also explained to him how o reilys couldn't install it for me even though it takes less than 5 minutes if you just focus on a couple screws and use some muscle. I'm not sure if he's a general manager but he acts like one. This dude sold like several batteries while I was in line and installed them with no sweat. Sorry O, o, o oreillys! I can't count on you! Johnny H., the manager of the store, offers the best customer service experience ever... which is, if you're like me -- a 20-something year old girl who knows nothing about cars -- have learned is VERY HARD to come by. My family and I were out of the country for a while, and since we didn't unplug the battery from our car, it drained out. Was able to get it up and going long enough to drive across the street and to this AutoZone, and was first approached and helped by a not so helpful employee. In the background, Johnny overheard our situation and was instructing the guy who helped us to check if our battery just needed recharging, if our alternator was bad... etc. The original guy was really reluctant and frankly not very helpful, so Johnny ultimately took over our case. He double, triple checked their systems to see if our battery was in their system and under warranty... and after careful inspection, it was! That saved us about $55 off our new battery purchase. He then installed it, had some really fun small talk with us, and we parted ways. My mom and I seriously couldn't believe the level of great customer service he offered. He truly went above and beyond what was asked or expected of him. He could have very easily just tried to up sell a brand new battery to us, but instead, he really took the time to figure out the root of our battery problem before suggesting how to solve it. If I only had to deal with him from the get go, I'd rate this place a 5, but since it doesn't seem like everyone is as helpful/knowledgeable, I've given it 4. If Johnny was to ever open up his own shop or transfer somewhere else, my family and I would follow him wherever. Thank you Johnny!! read more

My car battery came to the end of its long life a few evenings ago. The tow guy started the car but advised me to change the battery before trying to stop the engine again. It was just after 8:30pm and I wasn't sure I could get anyone to do it that late. I called Pep Boys first but they closed at 9:00pm and said no. They suggested I try AutoZone. I called them and the phone was picked up right away. The gentleman I spoke to told me to come right over because they would want to get it done before it got dark. They didn't close until 10:00pm. When I arrived at the store I was greeted by the same person, who looked up the right battery for my car, entered me into the system, and pulled the battery from the shelf in about 5 minutes. Then a young man names Jose O. installed the battery. He was very polite and declined to take a tip becasue tipping is not AutoZone's policy. Great service and good ethics - very nice. I went from concerned about starting my car to all set with a new battery in about 30 minutes. I will definitely come back! read more

This place was great! The manager (I think his name was Alexander I apologize if I got your name right) who was on duty today helped me install a new battery in my car (even though my battery was corroding) and even going out of the way giving me pointers about what to do to keep my battery in top shape. Both people on duty were very knowledgeable and helpful. They never pressured me to buy a more expensive car battery than I needed but also not get one too cheap to the point where it wouldn't of fit my needs. They need to hire more folks though as when I came in I was the only one who needed service but at the end there was at least a line of 4 people. Battery was cheaper than all the other places I called but Walmart (Sears / Pepboys / Les Schwab), but who wants to give them business anyways. They also install for you for free also so you don't have to get dirty. Total for me for a new battery was $115 after tax with a 2 year warranty. read more
