This store on Leonard in Walker MI has always provided great service but something happened today…read morethat compelled me to tell everyone just how great it is. Normally when I go into the store, it is to purchase something, but today I sought help removing a parking warning sticker from my window. The entire staff was eager to help, but one employee in particular went above and beyond. Daquari was not even on staff today, but he went to his car and retrieved some window remover fluid and a tool and stood with me in the heat and worked at it until the entire sticker was gone. He was not even clocked in but did this just to be kind. I have never even had a sub par visit to this store. Every time is top notch...but today the employees (and Daquari in particular) showed me that old school customer service is not gone. There are still some places out there where the employees actually enjoy coming to work and servicing customers. This is one of those places. Thank you AAP for helping me!

While I was waiting I could see straight to like a back office where 3 men sat. I am not sure what their position was but I waited like 10 mins before getting greeted and described what kind of blade I needed. You know how it is, no one came up to the front till after it is now your turn and the guys is done helping the other. Then you watch the next guy get immediate service. Again I would come here for my wiper replacement. The guy who helped me was fine when explaining my reason for coming in.

Yelp has my town wrong, I am from Grand Rapids. We have used Russ's for years. They are honest and…read moredo good work. There might be places that will do a job for less money, but Russ's will be honest about what they can and can't do and tell you if they don't think a job is worth the money. Sometimes some parts of a car wear out and it is good to know what it will really cost to "save your baby" or if it is time to let go of the daily transportation. They will work with you to do critical repairs and tell you what issues can wait to help you budget.

Had my car in for an AC repair and oil change (using a jug of Mobil1 oil and a filter I provided). They overfilled the oil (used entire jug, vs. filling and checking). I asked why. The response was 'we filled it to the specs'; I pointed out that it never takes the full 5.1 quarts after a change; I've never needed more than 4.5 to get the dip stick level right. He then said that my dip stick was the wrong part and therefore inaccurate... not true. (I even checked the dipstick part to verify it was the right one.) I also called later and found that they will no longer accept customer supplied parts for repair, unlike Andy & Mark's policy.
