Our room 250 four-wheel-drive battery went dead today at a far away mall. A good Samaritan gave us a jump and we made it back to Jacksonville at 7:06. One auto store was closed at seven today Sunday. But AutoZone and Southside Boulevard was open till nine, had the battery in stock, helped with a discount and installed it for us. I highly recommend AutoZone. read more

WORSE PLACE TO GO TO! I went at 10:17 am to charge my car battery. After leaving the car, I came back at 12:41pm to check up on my car. I was told by the store manager that it'll need 3 more hours to charge and someone will call you to pick it up. 4 hours go by, and I call to check on up my car... told by the manager it was never able to hold a charge. What a waste of time! It was as if they couldn't care less to the point I have to call to be notified about my battery is insane. Beforehand, the worker Micheal tested the battery and said it was good to charge but now (in such a inconvenient time) the store manger, tells me the battery was never able to hold a charge... really? Funny story, I forgot to click complete on my online pickup order so when I came to the store, they could not find it. The Technician was so on top of it and time efficient. Without hesitation he started ringing up my items and got right ti retrieving them. He was so proactive with the who process that he even saved me $21 and had time in between to help another customer; all within 15 minutes. !!! AWFUL PLACE. Staff is unfriendly & incompetent. Went across the street to Advance AutoParts instead and they were the best.

They did a wonderful job with letting me know what was going on with my car. You could tell they were busy and needed the extra help inside. They came out to call him for an extra hand, and realized he was working on my car, so didn't make a fuss, or ask him to come inside. My alternator was messing up, and setting my alarm off. Which was super annoying. So I was able to know exactly what was going on with it. He told me my alternator is at 40%, and I was able to pull it into a mechanic right away, and it made it there and died. read more

They have a rude and incompetent staff, I went to buy some lights for my car and they gave me the wrong ones when I went to change them the same one who took care of me he blamed me saying that I had grabbed the wrong ones and told me "Don't tell me that you grabbed the damn wrong lights, I'm not going to make the refund because I already closed my station" in the end I had to go to another Autozone to have the lights changed that I didn't even open from the packaging read more

Awful experience 2 occasions. I jumped my car went to AutoZone when it didn't start in feb. They did the diagnostic testing and said it was not my battery. I took it to my auto repair man he did his diagnostic test. It was in fact the battery. Again today same situation with my father today they told him it was not the battery and left him. We drove to advanced auto parts and they replace the battery. It has been working all day they do not have competent people!! Go to advance auto around the corner. read more

So many auto parts places to choose from - it boils down to pleasant and helpful experience with competitive pricing. Most of the shops in town will price match so it's never really an issue - EXCEPT - it has to be for the same brand sometimes so we all know how that works out. The Autozone on Southside Blvd. is a commercial location so they tend to have parts other locations don't. If another store needs a part, chances are it could come from this branch. With helpful and knowledgeable personnel along with their inventory, this location can get BUSY. I visited on a Sunday and there were probably 15 cars in the parking lot. A great thing about this location is that they are open for an extra hour Monday thru Saturday. 10:00pm vs. 9:00pm can come in really handy for those times that you just need that one last item to get the job done. Although this branch is not convenient for me, I would not hesitate to come back to get the parts I need when I need them. read more

Went to Advanced Auto first and now here to Autozone, still no wiper blades, but I'm giving Autozone a 5 Star for the effort they put into trying to assist me. When I walked in and told them what I needed and explained that I just tried to buy a pair from Advanced Auto Parts, he checked the computer for my product, then he said, let's go outside first to see how the component looks. He took the time and covered all his bases first. After checking the computer and visually checking my truck, he then grabbed a few wiper blade options that might work and took them back outside to see if they would fit. Though nothing worked, the effort alone is worth the 5. I think I may have to go to NAPA or the Porsche dealership to find blades that fit. read more

Second time here and I couldn't have had a better experience. It was the first cold day of the year and the battery in my truck just had enough. The warranty just ended and as luck would have it the battery was done. I went to Autozone because they test the battery and the charging system to diagnose the problem for free. They do this because they will not just throw a battery in your vehicle when it may be another problem. I spoke to Roger who had only been with the company for a few days but it was evident he was fully trained in the equipment and in customer service. After running a few tests he determined it was the battery. The installation of the new battery was included in the price. Roger would have charged the old battery for free if needed even though it wasn't purchased from them. I paid a very good price and didn't get my hands dirty. Great place with knowledgeable and friendly staff. read more

Disappointed with the lack of professionalism here. When I asked the lady working at the counter if she could check my car for any battery issues, she rudely responded and was audibly frustrated (even complaining to her coworkers that they were all going on lunch break). She said I had a general battery issue without any other information and made it seem like it was no big deal even though my car ended up needing an alternator replacement. read more

I went this morning for a car battery replacement. The employee at the cash register was the only one working and had a constant line of customers coming in the entire time. He was extremely quick and attentive despite having no help and was able to fix my problem within a half hour. He was also very nice and personable in an obviously frustrating situation. All of the other customers were taken care of very quickly as well and, from what I could tell, satisfied with their service. I saw him running (literally running) to complete tasks in a timely manner. 5 stars for him and I recommend the store manager ensures there is someone else to assist him in the future. read more

I called the store and a person named Durell answered. I told him what I was looking for. He tells me they don't have the part. I look on line and it shows they do. I called back and Durell answered again. I told him it shows the part online. He said we don't have it in the store. I asked him why he didn't offer to order it for me and he hangs up on me. I called back and asked why he hung up. He said I didn't hang up on you, what do you want. I asked to talk to a manager and he said,"I am the manager." I asked who was above him. He said no one. I came here looking for a product to help me clean and protect my light grey almost white cloth seats. I looked at my options and decided to ask for help in hopes that one of the employees had experienced my problem and could help. Instead I was told that I didn't need to spend my money there and I needed to get in touch with a mobile detailer. This advice wasn't helpful at all since I like to keep up the maintenance on my car myself. I then asked for the best leather protectant for my steering wheel. I was told If it's already started cracking then there's nothing I can do for it and that I needed to get my windows tinted. I said they are tinted. The area of concern hasn't began to crack but is getting dry so I just needed some type of polish. The employee then pointed to his car in the parking lot and told me I needed to get a visor for the windshield. I don't know why he didn't want to help me but i highly recommend you GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

I called before I went there to see if they would be able to install my headlight for me. The guy on the phone said they would be able to install it. When I got there the guy sold me the headlight and came outside to install it. In the middle of him installing my headlight another guy that works there walks outside and says "we are going to need to let us on the free services", as if there was an issue because he was installing my new headlight. This is the reason why I called before coming, so I wouldn't have to deal with this! would have been more than happy to take my car to the dealership and get the headlight install but they were a lot closer. This Autozone was called by the Autozone in St. Augustine to retrieve my windshield wiper motor and make sure it is on their truck to transport to the St Augustine store. I was told by the Store Manager in St Augustine that it would be at their store by 10 am today guaranteed! It was not there and they said they had no calls or orders for the part! They then called the Southside Autozone who advised they forget to put the part on the truck! I then drove all the way to Southside and told their Store Manager who's face turned red and yet did nothing to compensate my trouble. $173 dollars later with the $10 in gas I just drove! Very disappointed by the unprofessional service I received. read more

So disappointed. While I understand autozone is not a substitute for a mechanic, their entire brand is based on lending a hand for little things. Not this location. Initially the guy gave me instructions and I sensed that he didn't want to come out so I went and attempted to do it myself. When I couldn't figure it out I went back and asked if he could show me once so that I know how to do it. There were 3 of them, no customers, and none of them moved a muscle. Instead he stood there giving me stories about how his dad had the same problem. One of them even came out for some sort of break, and saw me struggling, yet turned a blind eye. read more

Imagine over your car suddenly overheating with 2 kids in the back and no mechanical knowledge at all. That was what I was faced with as I poured coolant into my car and could hear it dripping down. I called Autozone who quickly diagnosed the problem and told me they could help. My car, my kids, and myself limped into the parking lot and Bryan jumped right in, finding the part I needed, helping and talking me through the fix in the parking lot and sticking around until we were right as rain. I can not thank the crew there enough. On a hot muggy Friday afternoon this was the last thing I needed and the guys at Autozone were simply awesome. read more
