i had some flickering issues going on with my lights so i took my car in for the handheld test they do on your battery that checks your battery, alternator, and starting system. according to them, my battery was good but alternator and starting system was bad. i took one of the terminals off my battery and my car still ran, so it's definitely not my alternator lmao and my starting system is fine. took the alternator out to have it tested in store at a different autozone and it passed with flying colors. i may be a woman, but i'm not stupid lol. read more

Ok, so if you're going to Home Depot or Auto Zone you need to have a good idea of what you're buying. You can't expect these folks to know everything about your project. That'd be awesome, but it's completely unrealistic. How could they possibly know every model of car and every component that goes on that car... car dealership mechanics specialize for years on different models and never learn it all. These guys are in the deep end of the car parts pool making less than half of what a dealer mechanic makes. I rate them on how helpful they try to be with the tools they have. He showed me the options for bulbs and took time to explain what sets each apart and helped me understand how to pick the right windshield wipers. I'm not a car person whatso ever, but I didn't feel dumb at all when I asked any questions. He was patient, professional and very customer service oriented. Went in to pay for a part that was ordered for my car, was told by 2 employees that the Sunday delivery truck would be in at noon. So after finding a ride to go and pick up the part, I was told that the Sunday delivery truck doesn't arrive until 2:30! What a way to mess up your day ! read more

I ordered a part online for in store pickup on Nov 29th. After placing the order I got a conformation email that my order had been placed. Not but a few hours later that same day I received another email stating my order was ready for pickup. I didn't think much of it and a few days later called to be sure it was there and ready. A employee by the name of Levi said it was. I drove over and when I got there was created my Levi. After he pulled my up in the computer her started to search for my product. After pacing around a bit and no luck finding it, he asked another employee by the name James to help. James then told Levi that sometime they check off items as delivered so the computer "stops alerting them". They then told me my product was not there and the closest store that has it is there Lakewood location. I was told by James that it could be here by 5pm that evening. So I gave him my phone number and he said he would call when it arrived. I never received a call and when I finally called after 5pm. The gentleman who helped me had no clue and said the part was still in Lakewood. Quite frustrating for me. Finally next day I did receive a call and my part was there. I will NEVER purchase through the pacific ave autozone again. read more

I thought it was me misrepresenting the correct parts I needed. Bought 4 sets of brake pads for four different cars. One set for each brother and a set for myself. We were having a brake party. :) Getting everyone's car done at once was the best thing for to do. We all had the day off, we had the time and space, and had multiple mechanics on hand in case we ran into a problem, plus we were gonna fire up the grill afterward. Each brother bought pads and some other type of thing/part to fix while we had the available time,space, ect. Every part that was bought from this autozone was incorrect. Not one brake pad was correct. After multiple trips back we gave up, and returned everything. It was like $700 worth of crap between us all. I thought it was just the associate that made all these mistakes. So I went back, another day and again ordered two different parts for two different cars (even brought in the registration for proper verification) both parts again turned out to be wrong. This time I spoke with a manager she explained that the associate mixed the part number up on the box with what was suggested. So new parts and all the way home....guess what? Wrong parts. Never ever am I going to be a customer again. It's a cross between uneducated staff and a horrible parts system. Staff was ok. Not friendly but not rude. read more

I am always buying parts for my Jeep. I have called around to other parts stores in the past to find that autozone has the best prices around. If the store does not have the part, they usually can get it to me the next day, but sometimes the same day! Unlike other parts stores and locations, the staff at this location actually work on their own cars and are knowledgeable and helpful. On top of that I love the reward system. read more
