I absolutely recommend Courtesy Auto Service for your vehicle repairs! I have consistently brought both of ours here for 3+ years and have NO complaints. The manager knows me by name and vehicle now, and I'm always getting wonderful service (and to clarify, I got great service the first time I was here too). We have a BMW 3 series and a Ram 1500. Some of the most things we've had their team service are oil changes, tires, headlights, air conditioning, electrical, alignment, and more (just can't remember it all). I feel they've always offered their work at a reasonable price and it's a good value for the work. One of the things the manager has started doing during the last year is to text me a service summary report before completing the work. That way I can read it at my pace and think through it beforehand. Then I call, get an explanation from them, and give them the thumbs up or down (for the record, I've Never told them no). Give them a call the next time you need work done on your vehicle. They'll be honest. Work hard. And make sure you're happy. I always have been! read more

I'm barely given any 1 star review; but this one is overwhelmingly full of trash that I have to put a note for anyone's future recommendation! 1. I came early Tuesday 04/18 morning to see any availability, the store manager told me they were full and referred me to make an appointment! I did, and there wouldn't be any slot until next Monday 04/24 at 0800 am. Funny how they made an appointment slot; when I checked online later, it was still open that week. They just want people waiting for them, instead of waiting for customers. 2. The store manager told me only $75 for inspection and it would be deducted for the repair cost later. 3. I took a day off, and came early to Apr 24. The salesman told me the whole cost for inspection is $175.38 and won't be deducted for later repair! Seriously!! 4. Trust is what you build for business but I guess they don't give a damn, since they are next to the mall and always pretending to be professional. Final word, I did go to BUCKY's TACOMA on the 48th. I did only $70 for inspection (fact only $70, no extra labor's hidden fee that goes up to $175) But the senior mechanic wouldn't be available until next month because of vacation. SO THEY REFUNDED ME $70. Please, support your local store before going to this so-called best service store in Tacoma!!! They are really on a whole different level of Bull-shit!! And I will bring my complain to anywhere I can! Even file a complaint at WA state! read more

I've only used them once or twice for my own personal stuff but, where I work uses them for our own overflow or the things we don't have the equipment for like alignments. Knowledgeable staff, friendly and timely service. Most of the time they have the tires on hand that's needed and when not on hand rarely ever longer than overnight too get what's needed. read more

I drive a 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid 4wd. I prefer courtesy over others like point S and quick lane. Quick lane is a little too pricey, and point S refused to work on my car. Everyone, including Chris is very friendly! They fixed multiple things in my car, a lot of things from simple oil changes, to a brake line repair that was bringing up codes. Even if you bring used parts from places like the junkyard like I do, they will work with you. Have been told by Chris that my hybrid specifically is a rare sight in the Lacey area despite seeing a lot of escape's my year. Lol read more

These people are terrible! I brought my Jeep in because it was having issues, yea it's 12 years old, but I asked them to fix anything that needs to be fixed. The male I spoke with asked how much I was willing to spend! I told him up to $5,000! They replaced my raider but didn't replace the thermostat, and charged me over $ 1,000! Who does this?? Well the thermostat stuck closed and I had to be towed again! Furthermore, there was several issues that they didn't address. Keep in mind I am very attentive to my vehicle and I travel all over the US working in hospitals, it is imperative I get to work. No , I dealt with condescending and rude males that were incompetent in their work. I ended up taking my Jeep to some wonderful men and now my Jeep in in top condition! No thanks to these Bozos! Great, trustworthy place to get car taken care of. They only suggest what really needs to be repaired. One example: when I went to Toyota for a simple recall issue where they proceeded to tell me all this work I needed done. Brakes... On and on. I said I'll take it to my car place. When I took it here and said can you take a look. They said everything looks great. Very nice staff as well. It's nice to have a car place you can trust! Update: I am adding onto this review to point out I drove that car for another few years without issue. They even encouraged me not to spend a boat load on the 100,000 mile work as I was planning to get a new car. We have now defined this the "cheers" of auto shops. The problem I had with my car was that the passenger window just feel into the door while driving. I was referred to Courtesy Auto Center by my father in law who has been using them for over 20 years. I was extremely happy with the care and service I received. They were very friendly (even remembering me as I walked in to pick up my vehicle), looked at my car for an estimate and then when they called they were great at communicating the issue they had found and that there could possibly be a second issue, but would need to correct the first before it could be diagnosed. The car was fixed and they did not need to fix the second item as it was fine. The price I payed was the estimate they have me. The window worked great and the entire process was quick. I will continue to use them for all my car needs and would highly recommend them. read more

Yikes. Seattle roads ate my tire. I'm glad it was only a left turn into a suicide lane and a left turn into a gas station on the flat. When I changed the tire to a spare, I noticed a small hole in my tire, probably a nail. Anyway, I took it to one local "big name" shop, and I walked out as soon as the salesperson tried to convince me to buy new tires, the hole was not repairable. Then I took it to this Goodyear shop. They also tried to sell me a tire, but they came out and said it had heated up when I drove on the flat. They showed me all this loose rubber in the well of the tire and tried to say I caused that when I drove on it too long. Thing is, I took that tire off, and I looked all over the inside and outside. I would have noticed the 8 ounces of rubber they tried to say came from my tire. I thought, okay, maybe I missed something, but when I looked in my trunk, where the tire road back from Seattle, nothing there either, not a scrap even though I had to do some serious Tetris to get it in my trunk. Long story, thanks for making it to the end. Mostly, they seemed really nice, but I've learned from the mechanics who repaired my tire that this is a common thing. Don't fall for the scam. read more

So today was my first Time coming here. I talked to Tony on the phone yesterday who gave me a quote on an oil change. It was approximately $20 less than the dealership with the specific synthetic oil that I needed. He answered all my questions and was genuinely helpful. When I came in today Quinton greeted me he was very nice. I actually asked him if they put my Washington license plates on how much would it cost me. He said it would be free, how amazing is that! So far Great experience, but it doesn't stop there. I went across the street to lollygag a bit, unfortunately back door bakery isn't open until 10 AM. Which is better for my waistline, so that's OK too. If I worked at Courtesy auto I would gain so much weight from just traipsing across the street whenever I felt like it. So if those guys haven't been, they really need to try it out. Anyways I head back and ask Quentin for a quote on what the dealership is suggesting for my 30,000 mile maintenance. He explains that with the dealer recommend and what the manufacturer actually recommends are often times completely different. So he pulls up the info on what the manufacturer recommends and proceeds to get me a quote which also is cheaper than the dealer. Then I proceed to talk to the people in the waiting room. There was another first timer and then I met what I thought was an old timer. He's been coming for at least five years and was very helpful in recommending a Glazier in the area. But what happens next just blows my mind. I meet Stanley, he is the Old Timer of old timers. He proceeds to tell me that he comes there almost daily. He has coffee, reads the newspaper, watches television as well as visiting with you guys. He is actually the official straightener of the magazines there in the shop. He's been married for 66 years, getting his car serviced there for about 20 and he comes in there more days than not. Quintin proceeds to tell me he's involved in the community and that's the secret to a happy life. So I asked Danny if it was OK if I stop by and talk to him again someday. He's a very interesting bloke, over 90 years old, and sounds like a pillar of the community. Someone I would definitely like to know better. So I will not just be back to get my service and any repairs that are needed on my vehicle in the future. But I'm gonna stop back in and get to know Stanley a little bit better. Maybe he'll let me interview him, I believe that he'd have great stories to tell. Story Corps would love to share them for posterity. read more

Using my daughters Yelp account to write this! Stopped in at the store to have a front tire repaired. It was going flat. I had bought these tires from GoodYear/Courtesy Auto Service and had good service at the time so I returned there to get the flat fixed. When I went in Quinton said it would be an hour and a half before they could get to it. I told them I wasn't sure it would last but it might if I put some air in it. Quinton agreed to put air in for me. Not sure if they expected me to WAIT an hour and a half but I was back before the hour and a half was up. When I walked in he looked at me and said, "Need some more air?" I told him I needed the tire fixed. He then informed me that he couldn't fix it because they close at 5:00 (it was 4:20), even though he was the one who told me to come back in an hour and a half! He then told me I could come in the next day and leave the truck if I wanted and he could try to work it in because he had thirty customers scheduled. I told him that wouldn't work and that it was my only truck and I can't wait all day for a flat to be fixed. He then told me I could make an appointment for NEXT WEEK. Seriously, what did he expect me to do, continue putting air in it all week? It was completely unbelievable. I had to get it fixed since I can't drive around with my tires going flat all the time. I then took it to Gary's Tire Factory and asked them if they could fix it. The guy workiing said, "Sure, nose it in," and by the time I turned off the truck and got out, he had already found a screw in the tire. Then he plugged it up, checked for leaks, filled the tire up and I was literally on my way in four minutes. I drive a one-ton Dodge dually and by the end of summer it will need four new tires on the rear which cost a minimum of $250 each. Courtesty Auto just lost a minimum of $1000 since I will be going to Gary's Tire Factory on Martin Way when I replace them. Apparently, Quinton at GoodYear Tires/Courtesy Auto has enough business that he couldn't take four minutes to gain mine. Completely unbelievable! read more

These guys!! I walk in yesterday and am greeted instantly. I let them know that I'd had my oil changed at another place, show them a photo of the underside of my car where the first place hadn't bothered to secure the plastic underbelly cover, and asked them to give me a price estimate and time that they could repair it I was told no charge, and they could work me in after a couple of hours. I brought my car back and sure enough, free, courteous, friendly, competent, and welcoming service! They made me feel at home, safe, and that I could trust them I'm an elderly, widow, transplant from the East Coast that doesn't know much about this area, and these young fellas really made me feel like I was with my brothers. That level of trust is not only rare, but absolutely required for me to love a place, and I love this place!! You can't beat the service, knowledge, or professionalism. Being from out of town, needed to check on a noise in back tire. Staff was very courteous. They took the car for a test drive, brought it back and put it on the rack. Allowing me to come out and look at it to show me that nothing was wrong. This gave me great comfort to know since I would be traveling 1300 miles back to Phoenix, AZ. Don't buy your tires here if you're a woman. Actually, just don't buy your tires here period. The man I spoke with was extremely sexist. He must have assumed I didn't know anything about tires. He evaded my question about whether Goodyear tires come with a warranty like they do at Les Schwab. He kept repeating nonsense about a "workmanship" warranty. OBVIOUSLY that is not the kind of warranty people care about. And, it's not the kind of warranty Les Schwab is known for. When I confronted him, he said "oh a mileage warranty." Duh. Then, he trashed Les Schwab and said they purchase their tires from other countries and "put their name on it" which is why they can offer a mileage warranty. Stay away from this dishonest and unprofessional business. read more

The problem: Wipers would not turn off. Complaint/Gripes: STAY AWAY! 1. Shabby Workmanship 2. Created a problem that did not exist prior to them working on the vehicle 3. Charged me for non existent parts 4, Incorrect Reassembly I cannot recommend this shop they said that they replaced a part that did not exist on my car. They charged me a $45 diagnosis fee and claimed to replace a relay in my main fuse box under the hood charge for the resistor was $15. The total bill was $60+ tax. The problem persisted (it was not fixed) I took the car back in and they told me that the Real problem was a relay on my wipers Cost of the relay $130 + $40 labor. This finally fixed the wiper problem but the wiper motor now makes an awful loud noise that did not exist before they Repaired it also the weather striping was lose and they did not replace the clips for the wiper shroud the must have thrown them away. read more

These guys are awesome. I came here for an oil change the first time because they do free tire rotations for Goodyear tires (which I have on my car). I've come back for every oil change for both of our vehicles ever since because this is hands down the most pleasant mechanic shop I've ever dealt with. They are so professional and nice and patient- I've never felt like they would rip me off or anyone else. They can almost always squeeze me in, and they try to work as quickly as possible since I always have my kids in tow. Plus, it's nice that Starbucks is only about a block away so I can wait there while getting work done. I recently had to buy all new tires for our truck, and they beat all the other prices in town- plus add on a military discount on the work. Can't really ask for much more. Oh, and last time I went, they were playing the Planet Earth DVD in the waiting room and my son loved it :) They also have a few kids toys. read more

Don't trust them! If I could give zero stars I would. They are either incompetent or completely dishonest! I had a terrible experience with them. I asked them to take a look at the catalytic converter on my SUV. I had already changed some of my spark plugs and the coils a few days before and I have a computer that gets the code for diagnosing the check engine light. I wasn't interested in a diagnosis since I already know what's wrong with it. I just don't want to fix the catalytic converter myself since it can be complicated. I specifically asked them To find out which side and what part of the catalytic converter is broken and how much they charge to fix it. Instead of doing what I asked, they tell me they did a "diagnosis" on my car and that all of the spark plugs need to be replaced (for 340$) before they can even look at the catalytic converter. Since I just replaced some of the spark plugs I knew they were either incompetent and wrong or lying in order to get more money, so I sent my wife to pick up the car. They wouldn't give the key unless we paid 94$ for their false diagnosis which I didn't ask for in the first place. Beware of this business! They are willing to do anything, including lie and fix things that aren't broken, in order to get the most money from you! I am officially filing complaints against them with the better business bureau, the attorney general's office and I am going to let everyone I know including some people who have given them business in the past just what kind of business they are running. read more

On a recommendation from a friend, I called Courtesy Auto Service & Tire to see if they could help with a problem on my Ford. Quentin, who answered the phone, was extremely polite, listened to my explanation of the problem, and said they could fit me in 3 hours later. He gave me some upfront estimates on potential issues based on what I told him. Once I dropped the car off, it was about an hour later when Scott from the service dept. called to let me know what the issue was, how much it would cost to fix it, and when I asked approximately how long it would take for the repair, he said, "probably about an hour and a half." Well, exactly 90 minutes later, he called to tell me it was finished and I could come pick it up. To have the problem diagnosed and fully repaired within 3 hours is astounding! I will recommend this shop to anyone that asks, and will definitely go here again if the occasion arises. read more
