Brought my car in for a flat tire replacement. They said I needed two new tires (to balance the tread) without inspecting the car first. Then they said a single tire would cost me $350. This is for one of the most common tire sizes in the world. When I balked, the price magically came down to $200 (still a rip off for a single tire). I agreed, and they told me they didn't have this extremely common tire in stock ... the tire place doesn't have common tires. They told me they'd have it and do the mounting by noon. It wasn't done until 3 PM, when i called and the tire miraculously appeared just as I called. I don't know if Les Schwabb are franchises or corporate owned, but this second rate rip-off job was enough to make sure I don't go to another one again (any of them). It also prompted me to do something I've never done in my life ... write a letter to their board. Seriously ... stay away from this place. read more

I have brought my care here before, and usually done within an hour to three hours without an appointment. Today it was 3 hours till they put my car in the shop. Then another hour just sitting there. It would have taken another hour to do the switch. I told them that I need to head home and get ready for the next day. DO NOT COME HERE unless you have an appointment. Don't get tricked. Just don't. The warranty isnt worth it because they will put you last once they have your money. I got shocks and struts there under warranty and apparently it takes 6 hours for this job. Even when I make an appointment for tire rotations, I'm there for literally TWO hours before I watch them out it in the garage last time I was there. I can't stand a place that over commits. It's hard to jerk customers around anymore when you can easily look up how long a job should take. Go anywhere else. read more

I went to Les Schwab today for a leaky rear tire and was told I needed a rear alignment and 4 new tires and they denied me to purchase just one tire they stated I couldn't do that it won't fix my problem. I just wanted one new tire and I'd purchase the rest over time cause I'm not rich . I left pissed off and drive home on an unsafe tire they aired up to get me home . Will never go to Les Schwab again and would give negative rating if possible. 1) Showed up for my 2pm appointment and was told that the appointment was for 9:30. That was the time I called to make the appointment. Counter staff said they would immediately assign technician to do the alignment. 2) Waited in the lobby for two hours. At the end of two hours the technician came out and called my name. He said that he had been trying to reach me on my phone. Checked phone, no calls. 3) Alignment not completed because parts needed. 4) Counter staff engaged in political commentary - don't need to that while getting an alignment. read more

We were driving a rental car in Olympia when we picked up a nail, causing a relatively slow leak. Took the car in and explained the situation. The young woman at the counter said that it would be about 2 hours (it was a busy Saturday). I received a call from them just under 2 hours later saying that the car was ready. When we got there, we found that the tire had been repaired...at no charge! I was slightly shocked, but found that this is standard procedure for them. while we don't live where Les Schwab does business, our son does, and you can be certain that we recommended that they go there for any tire service. We also told the owners of the B&B at which we were staying and asked them to spread the word. oh, and one last thing...the facility was the cleanest tire store I've ever seen. Purchase a set of tire for 1800+ in September 2022. With only 16,800 miles on these Michelin spend tire 2 of the 4 tires already need replaced. It's an all wheel drive so u have to replace all 4 not just the 2. I've rotated them their is suppose to be a 30k mile warranty on these tires. Brian the manager of the plum street store just basically blew me off, basically 2 bad 2 sad. I have never had a problem with my tire in the past, I have been a loyal Les schwab customer. But no more. Pretty pathetic when a company that size won't stand behind what the sell. I have now contacted Michelin directly which I shouldn't have to do! read more

Needed a new tire, got a new tire. Dropped it off in the evening and picked it up the next day. All good. Thanks Les Schwab staff for your time and great customer service/friendly staff. Although, I find it extremely strange that my car battery all of sudden was COMPLETELY dead (never had an issue with it before dropping it off here). So instead of walking out the door with a simple $150 tire and smile, they got me for an additional $215 battery, totaling $365. I was stuck with no choice other than to pay it as I had an inoperable car. Well played Les Schwab, well played. Maybe just a coincidence? I'd like to hope so. If you are told you need new rotors when brakes are replaced make sure to request they actually use the tools to determine the thickness left. My daughter was told she needed rotors and when I asked how much was left I was told they would have to check. They checked and she did NOT need rotors! No repair facility should state that rotors are needed without measuring the current thickness! read more

Went in for a tire rotation, been going to this business for years along with my folks, nothing wrong with the car at this point. When I get the car back they tell me all my struts need to be replaced and that the car pulls to the left now, granted the car pulls barely to the left but when I get behind the wheel it veers to the left. I'm glad I got a second opinion because there's nothing wrong with the struts. What was wrong was that one tire had a bulge. They rotated my tires, dismounted and remounted them and didn't see the damaged tire. Rather than inspect my car to find the problem they decided to sell me $1,000 worth of struts. The bulge was pretty massive. I was driving around for a week with a tire that was ready to explode at any minute. Went back to talk to them and they took zero responsibility saying that a person couldn't physically do that to a tire which wasn't my point at all. The point I was making was that they missed something very important and put a ticking time bomb on my car while I was under the impression that it was my struts that needed to be replaced. I got the big blow off too bad kid talk. So yeah I wouldn't recommend this business, I can't remember their names but even when I walked in the door the blonde lady wasn't in the mood to help me and the gentleman she passed me off to was real good at talking and avoiding the issue at hand which was they messed up. Thursday evening shift was a disappointment as well as the guy who rotated my tires, all of this could have been avoided and they would have sold me some tires if they noticed what was wrong with one tire and not focused on my struts which ended up not needing anything. read more

My wife and I wanted to get a wheel alignment for our suburban. Didn't really think much of it by taking it to Les Schwab of Centralia. The people at the desk to take my request and appointment were absolutely amazing. What really hit it home for us was the fact that when we went to pick up the truck after the service was done, we worked with BJ at the counter. You could tell he was a tech helping out the front office by his uniform and how it looked after a hard day's work. He was amazing. His customer service was on point. He had a sense of humor, and he was quick and very insightful when asking questions. I was really happy with the services and I think BJ is on his way to a successful career if he keeps up his attitude. He also saved us a couple bucks because what we were quoted didn't exactly need to be done and he caught that and lowered the price. read more

The value of a Schwab tire isn't necessarily up front but during the life of the tire. More than once I've had to limp to their location with a damaged tire and had them fix it, promptly, at no cost to myself. What a stress reliever! Always courteous, always professional, prompt service, little waiting time. Always a variety of quality tires that cost more than at, say, "discount" places but that is more than made up at the back end with free service and maintenance for the life of the tire. read more

For years it has been bothering me that my TPMS light has always stayed on after the Tumwater Les Schwab location installed my new tires. They seemed to not really address this issue and presumed it was my loss. I'm wondering how many other people have their tire pressure monitoring system lights staying on and are expected to just pay out of pocket to fix it? Does not seem very professional that Les Schwab damaged my vehicle and expects me to pay for it. They didn't even offer to reduce the amount of my bill. This has always bothered me. I read the reviews just now. Had a screw in the tire, called and they said bring it in. Figured if they could repair it they would at least charge something... for the time and effort. They didn't charge a penny. Didn't even get the tires from them. I dislike writing bad reviews, but I decided I should. I was told I needed four new tires after I had them balanced and rotated. They said there was a hop in them and that was not correctable. They provided me with a quote. I went to Costco and they told me that the person that had balanced my tires had completely done it wrong and the weights were off and there was nothing wrong with my tires. Costco said they are always fixing what Les Schwab does wrong. When I told a car knowledgeable friend about my experience he said he never recommends people go to a Les Schwab either because of reasons like this. I will say that once before I used this same Les Schwab's and they did help me when I needed my power steering pump replaced and that was fine. Also, the people that worked there when I went in were very nice and friendly so that is a positive. I called them to tell them about what happened and the person who answered the phone just said oh OK. He did not ask for my name or vehicle information or anything. He didn't seem to care that I had a problem. read more

PLEASE READ THIS, DONT SKIM PAST- If I could put 0 stars I would. My husband went in to get some tires put on rims (mind you, he didn't even have them on the car, just the tires needed to be put on rims). The dude he spoke to the day prior quoted him $20 a tire. That was fine, wonderful even because it included the balancing. Total should have been around $100-$120. My husband also asked to have them remove the studs because he is wanting those wheels to be for his rally car. They stated, and I quote "I don't want to because it's tedious". Okay, that is literally your freaking job, but whatever. Fast forward to when my husband goes to pick them up, the dude rings him up for $200. $200 freaking dollars to put wheels on rims and balance them, AND TO NOT preform the one additional thing my husband wanted, which was taking the studs out. This place employs lazy liars. I don't like giving negative reviews, and I don't believe I ever have before, but y'all need to know this place is a GIANT WASTE OF TIME and the money you've worked hard to get! Also, he called coorperate, and they told him they couldn't do anything. It is their company, and they couldn't do anything? Ridiculous. read more

Our battery kept dying so we took our car in to get a new battery. The team here were so honest and professional, we really appreciate Bryce for his honesty and help! It turned out the bolts around our battery were just loose, so he tightened them up and didn't charge us! What first impressed me back then was how the technicians hustle and run between jobs. They still do today. My car is always serviced promptly and done right the first time at the price quoted. As an old salesman, I like that the desk people know their products and how to sell to the customer, not just a bottom line. They are able to offer various levels of products to fit your finances. Products and services come with warranties. The waiting area is clean with TV, coffee and popcorn. Some services are free such as air pressure and tire safety checks. It's so easy to hate on auto repair, I try to avoid it. These guys just pushed it too far. Came in for rear brakes. I knew they were spent and that the front brakes still had at least 50% life. The Mazda dealer, the day before told me this. Les schwab called with the estimate for the rear brakes and recommended changing the front brakes at a cost of $500 more!!!! When I told them I knew the rating of the front brakes they casually said 'we just thought since you where in you might want to replace them' Sure, I want to spend $500 six months before I need to, just to save a couple minutes. Not to mention the waste. HORRIBLE! As close to stealing I thinking you can get without breaking a law. read more

Unfortunately, i think they are suffering from the short staffed, burnt out, limited skilled colleague situation we all are since covid hit. Products are great, but I have had multiple incidents of not balancing tires correctly, and now was told 1.5 hours into my 8am appointment for brake replacement that no one had ordered the parts when i scheduled it weeks ago. The tech felt awful and they were very kind. I dont blame him, but hope Les Schwab can come up with a better system to order or make sure parts are there. I would have been fine getting called before to reschedule, but waiting that long at scheduled appt is a system break down. I will be using my dealership for my needs from now on. Goving up on Les Schwab but will try again someday maybe. Hope they are taking care of their techs to help as well! read more

Attendant at the counter tells me it will be 195 bucks! TO MOUNT AND BALANCE TIRES!!! ARE YOU NUTS! Because I didn't purchase their sorry excuse for a performance tire ( I know, I bought one for a spare and was the noisiest , most ill tracking tire I've ever had) I'm suppose to bend over and take it, don't think so. LES SCWAB HAS LOST MY BUSINESS. For reference going rate in Olympia among 5 shops I called for tire swap to include dismount old tire, mount and balance new tire is 15-25 bucks a tire. read more
