Not sure of the guys name when I called but he got so heated up and told me that I needed to speak to a manager next time I called in, lol. All because I was trying to ding my warranty on a $250 battery that I purchased and he was not helpful at all. I asked him to transfer me to his manager then. So he gave me to some Richard who was muffeling. Into the phone and got upset when I was telling him the Aussie in his guy. He was like okay and how can I help you? Horrible service--go to another store. So rude to my mother that she came home in tears. Told her they would not sell her the oil she always uses for her car, because they didn't think it was right. She came home, got the bottles to prove it was correct, and returned (costing her two trips). They were even more rude the second time. Threatened not to honor her Autozone rewards card; she tried to use it and they answered rudely "We don't use them." Very unprofessional staff was given the incorrect rear brake pads had my tire and brakes off before realizing I had the incorrect pads. When returning to the store a heavy-set Hispanic employee with tattoos informed me that I had to have a mask or shirt above my nose to be helped. Mind you I had been working on my brakes so my hands where full of oil as well as my shirt I then proceeded to tell him I cant reach into my pocket and grab my mask due to all the oil on my hands and didn't not want to put a dirty mask over my face . He then started to scream and yell informing me he believes in Covid and will not help me unless I put the mask on regardless if my mask would be covered in grease and oil and offers to sell me a single mask for $15.99 before he can help exchange the incorrect brakes for the right one. ( I am not a anti-masker like the employee kept on accusing me of being.) I then put my dirty t-shirt covered in sweat, grease and oil over my nose to get the correct brake pads, the employee then leans over to his fellow employee and informs him he will not help me and continues to scream and use profanity all while he has another customer at his register . He even got into a full blown argument with an elderly customer in line behind me to the point the customer put down his items and left. The second employee then tells me they have had several employees test positive for Covid-19 and that is why they are so persistent on wearing mask again I have no problems wearing a mask I my hands were just covered in grease and oil and only needed a quick and simple exchange that was their fault in the first place. There where no sings posted outside or on their website informing the general public that several employees had tested positive for Covid19 and the remaining employees working the counter are afraid and taking it home as the heavy set Hispanic employee I believe his name is David informed me he does not want to take it home to his nephew or family . This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had and hopefully this location can hire a manger and employees that have a higher level of customer service. read more

This Autozone will take you to the zone. I have noticed a ​couple of positive things here. These are big inventory, spacious parking, friendly employees. I have found the solution right away. The cashier and the next other guy was very knowledgeable and they helped me. I went to call ahead to make sure they have the right antifreeze I don't know a lot about cars I asked the older gentleman to see if he could grab that for me and put it on hold for me or just to have it up by the register and he refused and said just come in will help you then. I wanted to offer my diagnostic services to the guy with the glasses and greying hair who helped me find the correct cabin air filter for my Toyota Prius on Sunday. He was a gem of a guy, helped me find the right model, and rung me up with a smile. Then he asked me if I wanted an air freshener since I was changing the cabin filter. I told him I wasn't changing it because of a smell, I was changing it because my a/c just wasn't blowing as hard as it should be, so before taking it to the dealership, I wanted to start with the easiest fix and that was to change the filter. He snickered loudly, looked at his co-worker and gave him a "stupid female" look. I went home, changed the filter, took me 5 minutes, and low and behold IT WORKED. AC is blowing as hard and cold as it did when the car was new. So "counter God of Auto Zone", I'm sure you are super smart and all but don't be so condescending when women come into the store (especially when you are clearly not knowledgeable). And If you need my help diagnosing things or even fixing your car, feel free to hit me up.... cuz this woman clearly knows more than you do. I would never recommend this store location to anyone. I had the worst experience purchasing my headlight bulbs tonight and let me explain why... Both of my headlights were out and I needed a friend to give me a ride to this store so I can replace my headlights since it's already dark out. I reviewed online which bulbs to get for my vehicle prior to coming in, HOWEVER, I asked the clerk to double check for me to be certain and he advised a different type of bulb. I took his advice and got the bulbs he recommended and left. Not even 10 mins passed and I check my car bulbs and they were the wrong one (no big deal, I just went back to the store to return them with the correct bulbs). The clerk asked if I had my receipt and at the very moment, I didn't have it on me since I placed it in my cup holder in my car and my friend drove me back again in his. The rep didn't even tell me WHY I needed the receipt (I thought, okay the transaction may take a few days to appear back on my debit card-but I asked the rep out of curiosity how long it would be til I got a refund on my card) HE SAID HE COULDN'T HONOR THAT REQUEST SINCE I DIDN'T HAVE A RECEIPT. I came back 10 minutes ago! Not a different day or month! The same day 10 minutes ago just to get the difference back on my debit card. I offered to go back and get the receipt and he responded "but I've already handled the transaction." Then gave me the most snickering look as if that's all he could do. He proceeded with giving me a store card with the credit on it! Something I would NEVER use, I just wanted my money back on my debit card. It's the principal for me and he wasn't able to help me one bit. I checked the receipt out of frustration since this was handled so poorly and at the bottom states, "Don't worry about losing your receipt! Access your purchase history and view program terms..." no where did it say "without a receipt we cannot issue a refund back to the original card used etc." WORST Experience ever. I used to go to Auto Zone all the time and now I go to O'Reiley Auto Parts instead the past few years. Yesterday was one more experience to remind me why I don't go here any more. Last week I called for a part to be held for me (there was only one in the store). They even took down my name and they guy said it would be up front waiting. I showed up and a different guy could not find it anywhere. Looked all over and I ended up just leaving and would come back again once they found it. I called yesterday to see if they had the part. They did. I asked them to hold it for me. No name this time. I showed up later and the lady could not find it. Finally she found it in the back somewhere. Question, don't they have a normal spot where a part on hold would be at so a customer doesn't have to wait for them to look all over for it again? Here is the kicker... So I purchase the part along with three other things. Three were $4+ items and the other was $6+ and the total came to $37+. I was going to pay and they thought to myself that this didn't add up in my head for what I knew the costs were. I asked why it was so much. The lady pointed out what I purchased but failed to use basic math before being so confident that the $37+ was correct. I explained to her that $5+$5+$5+$7 comes to like $22 so $37+ doesn't make sense. She scrolled the keyboard through 3 pages and showed me again what I purchased. Again not equaling to $37+ according to my math she clears out the sale, grabs the scanner, re scans everything and drops the scanner on the counter. You could tell that she was upset about this. The total came to $21+ and I paid. I told her that she shouldn't have an attitude when it was just a system error and left. I will not go back to this place by choice. read more

July 2017 Midas - Firestone & O'reilly's said I had a bad battery but both times i went to Auto Zone in Laveen, I was told my battery was fine. Drove to another Auto Zone down the road and they told me I had a Bad Battery and swapped it out under warranty for free.. Either Laveen's Battery checking machine is broke or the people using it are broke ? Either way...Someone is very lucky my battery didn'T Die and leave me stranded in this 115 degree Phx heat. read more

I have been going to this location since 5 years, and ever had any complaints, I own a small transportation company, and have more than 25 SUV on my fleet on July 20,2018 one of my driver called and told me that the battery was dying on him every morning, asked him to stop by so we can go to autozone, once arrived I meet Brandy was really helpful at first, told us that the battery was bad, and that she was going to exchange it, requested a password from his colleagues who show up and asked her to move away, saying that I will handle it. than come up with excuses saying that I had this battery replace once before. The warranty does not transfer, I keep my cool and purchased another battery over $200 in front of Brandy. Well tonite I wanted to drive my 2010 Yukon Denali and the truck would not start took the battery out, went to the location with an extra one that I took out my 2013 Chevy Tahoe, I meet JUAN N, before I can even start talking to him, Brandy show up and started talking about me in Spanish in front of me. JUAN was so uncomfortable asked brandy's To go in the back, 5 minute later, he show up without even checking the battery properly and told me that they need to be charge first. Went back to my house felt so discriminated and 20 minute later decided to go back to location and complaint. JUAN told me that ''he was the new manager she was filling him in, to blame to the company''. When I spoke to Brandy she told me that my battery's wasn't legit" felt so discriminated I had to remind her that I had bought at least more than 20 batteries with an years or 3 years warranty to check my account. She replied all of the Managers knows you. Took my batteries back and told her that they both going to heard from me.
