Sit down and grab some popcorn because we're about to spill some tea. Today is 8/23/2023. A family member of mine was having many troubles with their car, and was recommended by a friend to take it to C&C Auto Repair (said friend personally knew the owner of this shop). For the record: we'd had this car looked at and minor issues fixed by multiple mechanical friends. My family member had their car towed to this auto shop on 7/3/2023. The car sat in their lot for 2 weeks - without a call/email update from the shop to car owner - before the owner of the car called the shop to check in on their vehicle. The service writer at the shop briefly explained that the mechanics "have seen and diagnosed the car". Rightfully so, the owner of the vehicle was confused as to why no one had contacted them for an update to let them know the next steps. The service writer said they were going to order a part, and call with an update once it was received and the work was going to be started. Another week passes by - no call from the shop. The owner of the vehicle called and asked for an update. Apparently, they had "just gotten in the part and were waiting on a 'big job' to finish up before they were to start on their vehicle which was 'immediately next". Another week goes by, no update from the shop. Once again, the owner of the vehicle called and asked if they'd started on the repair yet. The service writer continued to give my family member the run-around, saying "we hope to get to it by the weekend". The weekend would pass, the owner would call again for an update the following Monday or Tuesday, to which the service writer would say "we hope to get it to this week" etc etc. This continued for an additional 3 weeks, each time the service writer promising the owner a call for an update, to which the owner was never contacted. The owner of the vehicle called for updates each time they ever spoke with the auto shop. Not once did my family member get a straight answer to anything, or get the chance to speak with the owner of the shop. A quick note to add: my family member relies on their car for their job. During this time, they've had to borrow multiple family members cars just to get to and from work. The customer service and decency C&C provided was next level UNPROFESSIONAL, and in my opinion, should be reprimanded for. My next step is to call the better business bureau to file a complaint. I called that day and left a message for Brian. No one called me back. I work 12 hours a day so I was unable to bring it back that day. I called again the next day got nothing so I took it back there. When I described what was going on speaking to Brian and that I almost wrecked in my Jeep I got well I can't get you in until Monday. You can leave it here if you want. Couldn't careless. Come to find out this man is the owner of the business! At this time I was not aware of the seriousness of the problem. I then took it to a friend who discovered by bending over and looking at the rear end of my Jeep they didn't bolt up the rear track bar!!!! Took it to Jeep which took ten mins to fix which btw were way busier than this shop was but were able to get me right in because of the seriousness of this mistake! When I went back to discuss the problem with the shop I spoke to Richie who was the mechanic to put the lift on. I showed him the picture of the missing bolt and basically all I got back was attitude no apology. I explained to him I understand things happen we're human we all make mistakes that I was more upset about the way it was handled when I brought my jeep back. Brian then steps in on the conversation and instead of apologizing for the way he handled this I got more attitude. At this point I'm livid they then try to blame me for not leaving my jeep there when I stopped in the first time. Telling me he instructed me to leave it there over the weekend which he did not. They both then tried to say well if your car broke down you would of had to leave it. Really!? His excuse for not looking at it when I brought it back was it was quitting time .... he works six days a week ..... Refused to give me any money back or an apology. When I explain to them that if I would've wrecked it would've had a lawsuit on their hands Brian tells me no I wouldn't. They offered to pay what Jeep charged me to put the bolt in after I told them I wanted money back. Richie reaches into his wallet and hands me ten dollars. The only thing I got from these guys is attitude and blamed for the mistakes they made. DO NOT take your vehicles To this place if you want your car in one piece or good customer service. This place is a joke !

Not only were the able to schedule me for a couple days later, they got to it the next day and fixed problem at a very resonable rate. Ive been using them for almost 20 yrs and theyve never let me down. They continue to do quality affordable work. Dont hesitate, call Daves automotive and you wont be disappointed. My daughters car runs better than it has when we first bought it used !!

There's a reason they've been in business for so long. They are great at diagnosing problems and then explaining it to you in a way that makes sense and allows you to make whatever choice you want. After another auto parts store 'tested my battery and alternator' and sent me on my way with no…read moreproblems found, I found myself stuck unable to start twice over the weekend. I decided to try a different place which happened to be O'Reilly. First thing they said, battery very bad. Good. Suspected problem confirmed. Then rather than sell me a battery and install it, they pointed out these cars with the new engine stop/start at traffic lights have two batteries! There's a small one that powers the aux equipment while the engine is off and alternator is not running at these annoying 'engine off' traffic lights. Their computer instructed them to send customer to professional (dealer) service for determination and replacement of proper battery, this to avoid accidental damage to computers. I can understand there must be circuitry that ties the output from the alternator to both batteries and there may be voltage somewhere you don't anticipate. So you could buy a battery and probably replace it at home being extra cautious but that's too much liability for a store which is not a service center. O'Reillys jumped the car, got me started and sent me on my way to my dealer, no charge. This made me have a bit more faith in them going forward than the other store in town.
