Got my air freshener which they usually always have plenty of. I was hoping to get an air filter for my car but because I didn't have exact model I was unable to purchase. It was not busy when I arrived but I did have to stand in line for more than a couple minutes. They have a "commercial" section where about 2-3 employees were just sitting talking to one customer causally. I think one of them could have taken the time to stand up and check in on me - but it's whatever. Plenty of autozones will probably not return to this one. This is BY FAR the worse Autozone in the area! I try and try to give it so many chances to prove me wrong, but every time they do their best to remind me how bad they really are! Where do I even begin? Probably the worst thing about the store is the wait time to just ring out. The people looking up part numbers are the same that ring out other customers most of the time. This makes the process PAINFULLY slow for those of us just trying to pay for our stuff. Today I put about $50 worth of merchandise on the counter not being used and walked out. That's twice in 2 weeks I've walked out and I've had it! I live 5 minutes away from this store but I will drive right past this store and will travel into Everett or Medford to Advance Auto for my parts 100% moving forward. This store very rarely has the parts I need in stock anyway and the speed of service is the worst I have ever experienced at an auto parts store anywhere. This is coming from a guy who has worked on his own cars for 35 plus years at least. Shame on you Autozone, shame on you! read more

I know goose egg about cars. I remain a member of the Masshole Road Squad only through the good graces of friendly and honest mechanics and auto supply and repair employees. After ignoring an unholy sound that my car emitted upon cranking for weeks and weeks, I finally was prodded to figure out the solution to my vehicular issue. A call was initally placed to a solid repair shop and a quote in the $200 range was obtained. Mkay, not the end of the world, but let's just see how much the part itself would be, just FOI. Zoomed over to Autozone and chatted with a friendly dude about the problem and what the options were. He called up his buddy at the repair shop behind Autozone (Boston Body Works) and relayed the info and directed us to just pop back there and have his compadre check it out real quick so we'd know exactly what needed to be done to my ride. The mechanic took a look and determined that all that was needed was a minor adjustment. He got his wrench, fixed it up right then and there, and didn't charge us one red cent. We popped back over to Autozone to buy an unrelated product and thank our dude for the above and beyond assistance that saved me literally hundreds of dollars and lots of time. I feel like the service in here was extremely bad. Unless you know what you are getting. Don't expect these people know more than you. They are just useless. You would rather Google while you were in the store than ask them. Today i went in to buy some wiper for my car. One of the salesman asked me for my car information, (Brand, Model, Year). He said they have 20 and 24 inches for my car. So i asked him what is the original size for my car. He kept repeating and think i have no clue about the size. He gestured with his hand to showing that is 20 inches and this is 24 inches. Seriously really? While I'm in the store, i just google and found out Driver side have longer wiper than passenger. I just left the store. I'm glad i did. This kind of service is not tolerated. Afterward I went to Advance auto@ medford.. they know about driver/passenger use different size and FREE installation. Within 5 mins I'm a happy driver. read more

When I asked for assistance on price comparisons/parts, I received it. I ordered my parts and came back the next day for pickup. 8 spark plugs arrived instead of the 4 I ordered. I asked if I should be receiving specific serial numbers, considering I only ordered 4. They told me no, and handed me 4. Well...guess what!! The mechanic stuck them in my car without checking, and they ended up being wrong. Completely fucked up my car which I had spent years rebuilding. Since then, hasn't been the same because mechanic did a botch job trying to squeeze them in. I should've went with my gut and not taken the plugs in the first place, but I've learned my lesson and have ordered from Rock Auto, Crutchfield and Advanced Auto since. Only reason I'm giving more than 1 star is because (I forget their name) but a young Hispanic gentleman who seemed to be the supervisor took the time to search for my purchase in the system and refunded me without my receipt. read more

I went in to switch out a battery they sold me in February that died. I am going to say that I am a woman over 50 and was with my teenage daughter and it was apparent that I didn't know what I was doing.. haha. The guy who waited on me told me they did not have anybody who could take out my battery for me and that I would have to do it myself. Of course, this was something I had never done and felt a little helpless. He was just so matter-of-fact that nobody at the store could help me and he didn't even try to assist in any way at all. I then asked what tools I would need to take out my battery and I was just pretty much waved off into an aisle for a ratchet which I had no idea which one and nobody tried to help me. After voicing my frustration, this guy then got the ratchet & some other piece that I apparently needed and I was charged over $25. There were a few more negative things that happened especially when I was trying to voice my frustration with the manager and he basically just rolled his eyes at me The customer service at this place is extremely rude and I will never return. read more

I walked into this shop - music was blaring and female Hispanic employee standing behind counter singing loudly "if you're sexy and you know it clap your hands." Note to that woman - you should NOT have been clapping your hands. Just saying. Customer service - Awful. Could not understand a single word from any of the employees. A weird mix of English, Spanish and gosh knows what else to form the strangest dialect. I asked a question and received an unintelligible response. There was no way I was going to trust anything these people had to say - even if I could understand them. If you can't speak the language, how can I trust you'll know how to break a $20 bill? read more

I've been to this specific AutoZone twice now, most recently after the recent cold snap put my battery on death's door. Both times I had a friendly and knowledgeable employee help me, and this second time they went above and beyond, assisting me in removing the old battery and installing the new one despite the frigid temperatures and lack of natural light. I was at this location yesterday and had such great service!! Shoutout to Kevin for helping me!! I had just gotten a car that needed repairs. (My dad usually fixes cars but he is thousands of miles away.) My headlight burned out, so I called this location ahead of time to see if they have lightbulbs for my car, they answered promptly and I was on my way to the store. Kevin helped me pick out the bulbs and purchase them. He was even nice and willing to install the bulbs (because I had no idea how and I thought I had to go to an auto repair shop to get it replaced). So I pulled up my car to the front and not only did he replace the bulbs for me, but he taught me how to for future reference. I thought that was just the nicest thing!! The service here was great, polite, satisfactory, attentive and very willing to help. THANK YOU KEVIN. :) read more

Not only did they make fun of me as I asked if de icer washer fluid would help to melt the ice formed in my washer fluid, but the female employee asked me if I was born a blonde when I asked her which wipers were best for my car. I've come here twice, once for my taillight socket breaking down, and once to check my battery, and both times, the people servicing me went above and beyond to help me solve my problem. Since I know very little about cars, they explained things to me step by step, and helped me understand what I needed to do to fix my problem, if they couldn't solve it on the spot. read more

Boy, I'm usually one to hold off on 1 star reviews but I never felt so unwelcome in a store in my life as I did the other day. I read the review about Shannon, thinking maybe they over exaggerated about her. Walked in and she happened to be there, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I go up to the counter and we make eye contact and as soon as I start to speak, she walks away. Waited about 3 minutes laughing to myself in disbelief. Left my stuff on the counter, and headed out the door empty handed. I went to this store in Malden, MA 3 minutes before the normal 7:30AM scheduled time to open. When I get there, an employee was waiting for the store manager to come to open the store. I waited in the parking lot for half an hour and the store manager still hasn't arrived which means I left at 8:00 while the store was supposed to be opened at 7:30AM. This caused me to be late to work by waiting for this manager and had to go to the next town over in Medford to get the cable. This store manager should get fired for lateness. read more

This IS THE WORST AutoZone! Every. Single. Time. I go in there, no one looks at you, acknowledges you, has an answer, is nice, nothing! Especially Shannon! She is the rudest most UNAWARE person I think I have EVER come into contact with ANY where. Anyone could be standing right in front of her at the desk and she won't even look up! You can say "excuse me" multiple times nicely and she'll pretend not to hear you. But then again, this is nearly EVERYONE there not just her, but she's the worst. She never has a correct answer ( or ANY answer at that) to ANY question. She doesn't listen. You could tell her FOUR times you need change and she'll not only forget ALL four times but then give you the incorrect change. She will completely walk off and walk away. She will pretend she doesn't see 5 people in line. She will stay on the phone for 20 minutes just looking something up for someone even when there's a huge line. When you speak to her she won't even look at you and everything is a shake of the head and shrug of the shoulders. No one there can even answer simple questions like " the numbers and letters on my oil cap are for my oil correct" I get this answer: " not always" WHAT?! I was literally just testing him lol!! I get all my encounters on record so if you don't believe me don't worry I have proof. Then today this employee hands me a receipt and says "if you fill the request out you get a gift card" I say "for how much" of course he says "I don't know" so then I say " can you ask someone" of course he asks dumb dumb Shannon ( poor girl) and she says "read it". We did, it doesn't say. Boom Shannon disappears. Then one kid says "it's usually 5-10$ and another kid says " no it's usually about 20$ THEN another employee says " that's not even for a rebate it's just to enter in a contest to win 5,000$. Hmmm. Okay y'all! I'm never coming back to you dummies ever again and telling (and SHOWING) everyone else I know NOT to go there. read more
