I went to 4 Wheel Parts in Moore to see if there was even a slight chance that they could get me what I needed. It took the first dude about 15 seconds to find and order exactly what I needed from their distributor. He called me a couple of days later to let me know that I was good to go. I get the the brackets home and there is no hardware anywhere (not 4WP fault, it shipped straight from the manufacturer) so I called them up and let them know. Dude on the phone was like "We got you, bro" and just ordered another set, just like that. He called me 20 hours later to let me know they'd arrived. I go in this morning to grab the new box and the guy (different) says "Hey, let's save you a minute and make sure that you're getting what you need." He busts open the new box and, lo and behold, no hardware! (Again, this is from the manufacturer!) I was obviously disappointed, because I'd just paid $180 for these brackets, and I wasn't going to cry over $15 in hardware especially because it wasn't these folks' fault, but old boy wasn't having it. He read through the parts manifest in the box, went out to their shop and literally brought back, piece for piece, all of the hardware that was missing from the shipments and put it in my box. 4WP isn't the low cost leader by any stretch, but this kind of service is absolutely the reason that I'll use them just about any chance I get. They're just stupid smart when it comes to this stuff, they're friendly, and I promise you this dude didn't get paid extra to make sure I left feeling good about our transaction, but he sure as heII went out of his way, working on a Saturday, to make sure that I was able to complete my tasks without anymore setbacks. You can bet I'll be back.

While it was there, I asked them to see if they could determine where an oil leak was coming from. I really didn't expect to hear anything because it seems like these days that service is extremely lacking. Well, I can say that this shop and the people there care about their work!!! Not only did they fix the issue that we brought the truck in for, but they also found the leak and several other items that needed to be addressed in the future, which brings me to the next surprise in quality: each of those issues were written up on separate invoice tickets in order of importance! Everything was explained very well and we feel like the prices were very reasonable. We recommended this shop to our son who had a large quote from Toyota to fix some things on their van...this shop took care of the repairs for a fraction of the cost and they too are very happy with the work done. Having always done automotive repairs ourselves, we now find ourselves at an age where our minds say yes, but our bodies say no. Having said that, we know what good work is and what it isn't. We are so glad that our sister found this place and then recommended it to us. Hopefully we wont need work done anytime soon, but if we do, this is our place! She called me a little panicky to try to help her figure out what to do. I called Fowler VW of Norman to ask if they could work her in for a quick check to see what the problem is. They didn't have to go out of their way to work her in on a Friday afternoon with a service department that I'm sure was already full of appointments. Kelvin agreed to make room, and they were able to identify the issue (a loose turbo boost hose from work that had been completed in KC earlier that week). They repaired and had her on her way to Austin in less than an hour. They calmed my daughter and gave her dad a renewed hope in humanity. A situation that was scary for a young girl in a place she was unfamiliar with was handled with grace and patience. We don't live anywhere near Norman - but if I'm ever in the market for another VW I might just make the 5-hour drive to repay the favor. Thanks to Kelvin and the service team at Fowler! That was on 5-12-26 today on 5-18-26 the cruise control stopped working so I called Keith at 2:57 left a message it is now 5:42 and I am still waiting for a reply to my call, guess I will have to try calling again tomorrow this is the most disappointed I have ever been in a company and will say I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND FOWLER VW FOR REPAIRS OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER . If a customer comes in with financing already secured, there is zero reason to play games unless the goal is squeezing more money out of the deal. Nothing destroys trust faster than a dealership ignoring what the customer explicitly asked for and then pretending it's "part of the process." It isn't. It's shady. We came ready to buy a car. They turned it into a lesson on why people hate dealerships.

The proper hitch was ordered and arrived the following day. The next business day I dropped the vehicle off and it was done that afternoon.
