Went into store looking for the rubber slip ones for your shoes so you don't slip on ice. I couldn't find them. Asked a young lady who was doing something in one of the isles if she knew what I was talking about? Yes ma'am and took me straight to it's location. None available. So she said she would check in the back to see if any were there. Out of stock. After I got home I was going to order them on line but I needed its exact label to search. First call the gentleman (Andy Andrew-?) he said oh I call them "traction aids", thanked him and we ended call. It was not coming up on the website. Called back and the young man had no idea what I was talking about. So I gave him specific directions where the girl showed me they were. He placed me on hold said he spoke to manager and referred to the ones for tires. I informed him I said for shoes not tires. He then stated they were out of them. I said no kidding that's what I told you to begin with, you need to pay attention to what the customers are telling you. I do not curse nor did I. This young man hung up on me and told his boss I was being disrespectful. After a 3rd attempt to get it correctly identified so I can purchase it on line. Apparently he took that as disrespectful and hung up on me. I called back and NO ONE, probably him, would answer my call. I called from another phone and the store manager Patrick answered. I explained what happened and was that acceptable behavior or poor customer service? I asked him, if you asked for the 3rd time, wouldn't you be agitated? He said.....well the employee thought you were being disrespectful. I informed him this employee needs clarification on disrespect. He was not doing his job to its fullest for customer service. Well, ya'll just lost a sale because I will go to Amazon and get one now. The female employee would be a great mentor for this lazy employee. Smh. Btw, I gave Patrick the manager the location to find it, I also asked him what the name of that employee was and he said......I will tell you when I find your product. He knew who that employee was because he had to hear that phone ringing without being answered. Surely that employee (Zach) informed him why he wasn't answering. Hmmm? So Patrick put me on hold for 7 minutes (really guys), came back a told me the product name was Ice Cleats, unfortunately it to was not coming up on my search of the website. I had to ask Patrick again the name of this employee, oh it is Zach. Perhaps customer service is not Zach's strong point? read more

Went there with my Mother & her Mechanic and employee was very rude to her. I her the mechanic laying employee John out and I asked what happened cause I only heard a little of it. Mechanic stated John was rude, threw the battery we were purchasing up on the counter and had a nasty tone when he spoke to her. I don't know if John don't like African Americans or what but I will not shop here again, I can take my money and go to Advance Auto or Pep Boys and be treated like a customer. read more

I came into the store for some some parts for my van and the was greeted by Teejay. He politely helped me find the correct items that was needed and even instructed me on them properly. Shout-out for the Mechanic at Autozone! I am not mechanically inclined whatsoever, but was in the process of replacing an ignition switch and was having difficulty finding a tool to disassemble three nuts on the steering column. After reviewing several fix-it-yourself sites and YouTube, I tried 5, 6, and 7mm, and 3/8, 1/4, and 5/8 nut drivers and nothing fit. I went to Autozone to see if they had the right tool, and the mechanic suggested the problem may not be the ignition switch, but rather the key. I tried it and he was right. I realize now I should have tried that first, but he saved me from a waste of time and hassle. None of the fix-it-yourself sites or Youtube suggested this easy fix. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of customer service here. I walk in and the guy at the counter goes "what do you want?" As if already being a woman in auto zone is ridiculous. I then told him I needed transmission fluid and he starts shaking his head no before I even finished my sentence . Then tells me he has no way of looking it up and can't help me and to leave. Mr Hicks at Auto Zone on Mountain Road was extremely helpful!!! I was stopped by a driver out on the road to say by brake lights weren't working. I stopped into Auto Zone and Mr Hicks made absolutely sure I had all I needed to repair my vehicle. He even walked outside to confirm the parts I was buying were the correct ones. This young man went above and beyond to provide superb customer service and I greatly appreciated it I can now be a safe motorist on the road again. I went to this autozone and got extremely bad service from the lady working there, seemed like it was not her day, she also gave me the wrong set of break pads I thought it was just not her day, but I went back today and she was in the worst mood, like back talking customers the whole nine yards, terrible experience and not the brightest set of employees. I gave two stars solely because a lot of the crew that works there are nice genuine people. read more

I came in because Autozone had the lowest price on the battery I needed, and my car was so dead that it needed to be jump-started every time. It was below freezing out, and the Autozone employees worked uncomplainingly in the cold to get the new battery installed. This despite the fact that there were some non-standard bolts that made it difficult to remove the battery. It also turned out that my battery tray was broken and missing a fastener to keep the battery in place, and the new one was a smaller size so it would just rattle around loose in the tray. One of the Autozone guys spent an extra 15-20 minutes installing an adjustable bracket over my battery and the battery tray to hold it in place. This probably saved me quite a bit of money (vs. having to have a whole new battery tray installed) or trouble (in rigging up something myself). I know other reviewers have had negative experiences, but the employees I dealt with provided courteous, conscientious service, and went an extra mile to help me fix one of my car's weird issues. read more
