Bottom Line: Basic auto parts store with a helpful staff. I planned to go to AutoZone, look like I know what I am doing, find what I needed and peel out of there rather quickly. Well, I found the oil I needed quickly but I was a little lost on which blades to choose. One of the guys could see the gears turning and offered to help me select my replacement blades. He was able to explain the four types of blades they carried and the features of each. Also, he also looked up the sizes I needed so I didn't have to thumb through the big book. My experience got even better here - As I was paying, the guy working offered to install my blades for me. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. He said, "Well, it will take me just a few seconds since I do it a lot and its freezing cold out there." Although I planned to do the install job in the warmth of my garage, I would have had to read the directions and reacquaint myself with my wiper anatomy (living in SoCal for 12 years I forgot what purpose windshield wipers served) - at least a ten minute job for me. So sure enough, it literally took him about 15 seconds to install my blades. I know that wiper blade installation isn't rocket science but customer service really seems to be a lost art but AutoZone has helped me remember what it's like to get great service. read more

They sold me a USED Alternator out of a dusty box with no signs of being refurbished. They did not ask for my phone number. I installed, then had to un install and return. The clerk was not there ans the staff and manager gave me a hard time because they did not have my phone nuumber in the system. I finally got my debit retutrned. Advane Auto is right near there and they sold me a completely clean and tested alternator for the same price eith a lifetime garantee. I hate writing bad reviews, but with a much much better part store so close by, I an done with this store. read more

Service was absolutely horrible. Overheard employee giving a snarky response to a customer asking a question. They didn't even finish their question when the employee responded with "It's simple enough that anyone can do it." The customer stormed out. I put my items back on the shelf and walked out myself. I will use the Pasadena or Gken Burnie locations instead. One star is one star too many! read more

Poorly run. Customer service lacking. The counter folks are ok, but I get the impression that the staff would love to be anywhere else. Today, I had a return that required the managers approval. I waited for almost 10 minutes for him (Tom A) to emerge from the back, walk up to the computer, type in his password and walk away, without looking at me or sharing that info with the counter guy.The counter guy, who had gone off to help someone else, didn't know that the manager had completed that task. I believe that if they weren't so well located, or their was competition nearby, they'd struggle to stay open. I think that I'm going to drive the extra distance to go to NAPA from now on. read more

The two ladies at the counter were super helpful! The one employee searched the computer for the correct wiper blades I needed and asked a second opinion before selecting them. Then, the other employee kindly put the wiper blades on for me and showed me how to do it myself. Sweet crew, knowledgeable and good at what they do. read more

Came to have my battery checked at 730 am (waited outside a half hour before they opened) and was told that they couldn't check my battery because there was only one other person in the store (5 employee vehicles outside). I am the only customer there. I had to have my husband drive from two towns away to take my battery out and bring it in (I have no idea how to even get it out). Ridiculous! So much for customer service. I was literally parked right in front of their glass doors and saw three employees inside. read more

I'm a inexperienced car owner whom has been ripped off frequently when it comes to car diagnostics and repairs, which makes going to Ritchie Hwy's AutoZone so refreshing. I once showed up with a broken headlight, they not only showed be the best and least expensive part, but they then helped me replace my light in the pouring rain- no charge. Many a times they have helped me out, running diagnostics on the car and being patient when not know all the car's info. I appreciate honest service and this AutoZone has some good eggs in their staff. read more

I came to this auto zone because it was not out of the way. I wanted to return 2 rotors and a set of break pads, coding 131.41. They told me that because they just did a return of $400 I would have to come back in a few hours because they didn't have enough money. It was debit and they didn't even offer to put it. back on my card. The guy set him self up from the get go with a poor attitude. The minute I said I need a return he shook his head, took the receipt and walked away. read more

Downloaded the yelp app specifically to leave this pathetic excuse of a store a review. 7 employees working, myself and the only other customer in the store waited for nearly 20 minutes before we were rudely acknowledged. Than I proceeded to wait another half an hour for them to look for the part I ordered only to tell me I never ordered it. I've been to auto zones around the country and this one is by far the worst. AutoZone Rocks!!!! In simple terms these are the best people in the world. My father passed and my car failed at the funeral home across the street. I managed to limp my car over to AutoZone. I told the team behind the counter what was going on and they invited my mother and sister into the AC (it was 100 outside). They expressed condolences and then changed the battery in the car. The service exceeded our expectations and these are just good people. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. This morning, I experienced the most reprehensible lack of customer service and common courtesy at this location, in addition to a complete absence of technical skills. I went to buy a new battery for my vehicle, as it had died overnight and would no longer hold a charge, even after being jumped. The manager of the store, Tom, without even checking under the hood, said they would not be able to change out the battery. When I asked him to take a look at the battery before making that decision, he reluctantly agreed. After struggling to unlatch and raise the hood, he took one glance, shook his head and claimed "there are too many wires" and that it was "too complicated". I explained to him that the vehicle is sitting dead in their parking lot and that I needed some sort of assistance. His response: "There's an Exxon up the road. They can jump you." and walked away. I ended up calling a neighbor, who is not an auto mechanic, and they were able to come by with their own tools, and replace the old battery for a new one, in less than 10 minutes. I will never give my business to this store again, as their manager is devoid of any level of competency and customer care, with skills that max out at replacing wiper blades. read more

Hands down the worst AutoZone I've ever been to. Unhelpful, rude, lazy . . . not enough adjectives to describe the poor service here. I'm a 55 year old woman, and four men behind the counter watched me carry a heavy car battery to the counter - after pretending to not see me spend 15 minutes looking for the right battery in the book. Had a low beam headlight go out on my Honda cross tour...the bulb was in a very difficult place to get to...impossible for me. The guy who sold it to me was nice enough to take the time to change the bulb for me. Very nice of him! read more

Maybe it was just because of the fact it that is was still morning, but everyone working at this store seems unhappy and unhelpful.

I needed a new battery for my car. I called and spoke with Barbara. She asked me what make and year and model of my vehicle. She advised they had my battery in stock. I asked if they could install it. She said yes. I asked how long it would take. She said 20 minutes if nobody was ahead of me. I said are you busy now. She said no. I said I am on my way. I arrived and they asked me to pop up my hood. The first thing the guy said is "I can't install your battery, we only do simple installs here". If Barbara said maybe or even probably then I would have been ok. But she said YES we can install your battery. She lied. I will NEVER go in that store again. A total waste of my time. And I thought I did my homework. Poor customer service is all I have to say. read more
