I was hired as a driver/delivery person, but it was misleading. I only went on 2 runs with another employee. Most of the time, I ended up stocking shelves, cashiering ( no training),anything but driving. Apparently, one has to be certified to be a driver by taking tests( which were about Auto Zone, nothing to do with driving.) Someone was hired after me and he was allowed to go on driving runs, but he didn't stock or really cashier, but had plenty of time with the Supervisor& other employees, like a kiss-ass type.I mentioned to the Supervisor, that there wasn't really any training for in the store. The Supervisor replied,"Sink or Swim"..He also said, that the training in Phoenix was it. There was no training there; it was more of a rally," Go Auto-Zoners"! Nothing mentioned in Phoenix that trained you to work there. I had to pay for the shirts to work there and it was required to wear black shoes.I spend good money for the shoes I purchased, even though later, the Supervisor wore white tennis shoes to work. After, the Supervisor apparently, refusing training, said it is 'Sink or Swim', I resigned. I would not recommend anyone to work at this Auto Zone in Prescott Valley. i used to love coming to this auto zone nick and Tom are the best. I went it a few days ago and some younger looking kid named Juan was extremely rude, made derogatory remarks about women, and then was also laughing and joking about his dad having somebody terminated from their store because he didn't like him. come to find out the person was moved not terminated and it was nick because of false accusations. I will be taking my business as well as telling everyone I know to take their business to the Prescott store where nick has now been transferred to. it's a shame how much the store has changed in a bad way since this new manager Robert came in. Went in looking for a simple battery connector similar to the ones they use for a battery tender. Found one, but was not sure it would work for what I needed. It was packaged in a simple plastic bag held closed with two staples. Instead of opening the package to see if it was the correct connector I went up front to ask if they had a stapler I could use to seal the package backup if I opened it and saw that the plug style would not work for me. The older guy there said "No, if you open you have to buy it". All it needed were two staples to reseal the package. I guess they don't have a stapler in the whole store. I suppose I could have bought it and then returned it if it didn't work, but what a waste of time for all involved. A lot of people would have just opened the package without asking. I went to the O'Reilys auto store next door. They were happy to help me. read more

I just received the best customer service from a young man named Justin!! After having a subpar experience at O'Reilly's in Chino Valley it was nice to receive service like this! My daughter attends embry riddle university and I will be recommending that all her friends and to my fellow parents that if they need auto parts for themselves or their children's vehicles that they come here! I had such an amazing experience. I normally have my husband check oil and do all with our vehicles. I got a signal from my SUV to check oil. I pulled over and it looked like I was in dire need of oil. I GPS Autozone and it took me to that location. I was so very frazzled and had my one year old baby. The person that checked me out made sure I had the correct oil and funnel. I finally was able to open the oil. This gentleman came out to check on me and help me add oil. I would of totally over filled it if it weren't for him taking time out and checking on how I was doing. I didn't get his name but I remember he was very nice and had a pony tale. I usually don't post comments but I wanted Autozone to know what a gem they have employed there. This was on the evening of June 8th around 7 pm. Thank you sir...so much. read more

Seriously? No reviews for Auto Zone in PV yet? Well let me be the first to give it a big thumbs up. This place is awesome. One weekend my boyfriend and I seriously went in there like 20 times. When we couldn't find what we needed on the shelf, the staff checked the back. They still didn't have what we needed so one of the employees gave us what we needed right out of their tool box! We even offered to borrow it and bring it back but they told us just to keep it. When it comes to car stuff it seems like you can always find it cheaper online, but nothing beats going to a store and getting it right away and then being easily able to return it in case something doesn't work out. It seems like the employees here know a lot about what they're selling! I go here every time I need something for one of my cars now :) read more

I've been here twice; both times were horrible. The first time, I was there to purchase some power steering fluid. The employee was judgmental and unhelpful. It was rainning and he caught me looking at some windshield wipers. He said, "you should have bought those before it started raining." He even rolled his eyes at me when I asked him a question. I left without purchasing anything. The second time, I was there to purchase some oil. The cashier treated me like a child. The item wouldn't scan and when I inserted my chip card, it said transaction cancelled. When he scanned the items again, he pointed at me and said, "NO." In a very stern voice, telling me not to insert my card. It shocked me that he would treat me in such a way. It turned out that the item was causing the computer malfunction, not me inserting my card. Another employee had to assist me to complete my purchase. I will not be returning to this location. The employees are awful. read more
