If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to this AutoZone location with the simple intent to purchase a new battery -- paying out of pocket, not expecting any free service. However, the staff on duty, including the so-called "manager," told me outright that because the system test showed my battery was "good," they would refuse to sell me a new one. Not refuse to install -- refuse to sell. This kind of treatment is not just unacceptable -- it's insulting. I was spoken to in a dismissive and authoritarian tone, as if I had no right to make decisions about my own vehicle. I've never encountered anything like this in over a decade in the U.S. I've already submitted formal complaints to multiple channels including AutoZone corporate and BBB. The store is now under regional review. This store is a shame to the brand, and customers -- especially minorities -- should think twice before walking through its doors. read more

Got in my car to have dinner with family for Thanksgiving. My car said "Not today." The battery died. I had no indication that it was having a hard time starting. My neighbor got me started and I went to AutoZone to see what was going on with my battery. Dead cells. I decided to get a dura last gold battery with a 3 year warranty. Really good deal. They will replace the battery if it dies before the three year at no cost. I've always use AutoZone. They have always been good for me. Ten stars. read more

If I could give them no stars I would!!! We came in here tonight on an urgent vehicle issue and my husband stood around waiting forever for assistance. He finally seen some old guy with a white beard and mandals (aka men sandals) he asked if anyone was available and the guy tells him " their all busy" not even a sorry sir give us just a few minutes and we'll be right with you, he literally shrugged my husband off w/o a second glance. Save your time and go across the street to advance Auto parts. They helped us right away with a smile on their face. No stank attitude at all! read more

Terrible customer service from the guy behind the counter (with the cowboys and other tattoo's). Did not want to help much in terms using computer to locate part I knew that needed. Wanted to offer his own advice. More than willing to let his assistant try and do the work with the wrong tools. When my complaints and concerns were voiced, it did not matter. Losing business did not matter. Corporate should look at who they have working and representing them at this location. Would advise you to go elsewhere even if you have to pay more. read more

There is nothing worse than a company taking a vantage of older people. My father purchased a battery at AutoZone Highway 6 & Bellaire, two years ago, and the battery went out which is supposed to be guaranteed. When he went in to get it replaced, they said they couldn't find him in the system and that the battery must be old and five years old. He had to go to another AutoZone and they had no trouble finding his battery. The AutoZone that had no trouble finding the battery record said that that location always does that to the customers. It's terrible but they treat their customers like that. Stay away from this location or you'll be disappointed. Highway six in Bel Air horrible!!!!! read more

Walked in Friday 5:30pm. 2guys at the register immediately greeted me and I stated what I was looking for. One immediately went to the aisle to show me where it was while the other one told me the prices and their specials on similar brands on engine oil. I go to this location for miscellaneous tools, car batteries and oil disposal. You have to pour our your oil yourself into a large container. The smell is quite strong, so you need to be careful. I've had long waits there, but a lot of times that's due to people not knowing exactly what they need when they're at the service counter. read more

I think this store is (or maybe AutoZones in general are) understaffed. There is usually a wait just to get someone to run the register, even if I'm the only one in the store. read more

First off above referenced address is incorrect, address should be 11202 Hwy 6 South, Sugar Land, TX 77478. This is location has horrible customer service. Went in on 04-06-2016 around 6:30 PM and asked about A/C Freon and some general questions about how to add Freon. The person that helped me was horrible, just had an attitude and did not add any value to helping me with the A/C system. What he did not know was that I did a lot of research in regards to adding Freon to my vehicle and already new what was wrong, but wanted to see what some one else would say. The guy that worked at auto zone had an attitude and could not just say he did not know the answer, just horrible. I will not be coming back to this location for any of my auto motive needs. Just FYI your suppose to help customers and make them feel welcome. I understand that employees that work here at not certified mechanics, but make me fell welcome so I will come back. The employee did reference me to a auto shop "Texas Auto". I did not go as I fixed the issue when I went home, I just added more freon until it was the correct pressure. do not go to this auto zone. read more

Avoid this store by all means. That tall black manager is killing autozone business here. Came in to test a battery, left it to charge there for two days and when I got home the battery was at 3v. Came back to store and the black tall manager asked me to charge it again for 72 hrs. He wanted to the warranty to expire in 4 days so I will pay for replacement. I went to autozone on bellaire and Howell sugarland. Got a free replacement without questions. read more

For starters, I walked in and did not receive help within 5min, mind you I was the only customer in the store at the time. A particular individual Jimmy Washington saw me enter the store yet he still continued to do what he was doing. Jimmy then gave me a hard time as I was there to pick up my alternator saying that if I didn't have my receipt I couldn't receive the part. After a period of arguing he asked for my phone number and successfully matched my I.D with the account the part was under. He slammed my alternator on the counter when he gave it to me as if he was annoyed and fed up. I then asked who he reports to as this is not the first time he has given me a hard time for the simplest tasks'. Terrible service from Jimmy do not seek his help. read more
