I have a brand new truck with wheel locks where the key has been used maybe twice. After coming in for a rotation and balance, they stripped my wheel lock key. They're claiming that it was stripped when I brought it in but it was perfectly fine the last time I used it. read more

I went here for the second time in a few months for tires. I left here and went to a car wash and one of my tires ended up damaged from the car wash. I went back to DT a few minutes after closing . I was in big trouble because my tire is flat and I have to commend these employees for helping me out! They reopened the place and replaced my flattened tire. On inspection the car wash damaged the valve stem and also punctured the tire. Basically ruined the whole tire. I can't thank DT and the wonderful customer service team enough for promptly fixing the problem and swiftly getting me back on the road. I will continue to do business here. 5 read more

I needed a new set of four tires for my nine years old car. I didn't need expensive name brand tires since I plan to trade it for a new SUV when the auto interest rate goes down. Discount Tires fitted my need. The house brand tires were decent enough for Houston driving. My brother and Mom were happy with the Discount Tires house brand on their cars. At almost half of the price of name brands, it was a real saving. I got there earlier enough that there was not a long queue. I was done in about an hour. The salesperson didn't try to talk me into buying more expensive tires. The installation techs were friendly. I wish the bathroom was cleaner. read more

Last week while driving, my car alerted me of low air pressure. I immediately looked up nearest Discount Tire store and went there to get air topped-up. I've never been to this store before and it has oddest entrance I've ever seen (see other reviews). Google maps basically brought me to the lot and that was it. Thought the entrance was from other side, so went there, but no luck. Then used Satellite maps to figure out the entrance. Had to get back on to the highway and circle back (two U-Turns with Red lights). By the time I arrived, it was 5pm (exact) - their closing time. A junior employee there told me to park in Air check area and wait. I did and waited patiently, the air pump was still there and my car was parked 2-feet from it. 5-7 mins later a guy walks out and tells me that they're closed. I politely told him that I tried to get here on time but got lost so had to circle around the highway and that's why I'm late. At this point, all he had to do was just top up the air, hardly would have taken him 30 seconds. But instead, in a condescending passive-aggressive manner, he tells me to move my car to the parking lot and wait there, and that someone will help me. Then he proceeds to unhook the air equipment. I asked him how long would it take, he says "15-20 mins until all the other customers are done". Seriously?? You had equipment right there next to my car! I've been a Discount Tire customer (different location) for over 13 years and have sent dozens of customers their way, but I've never been treated this way before. That guy is an absolute jerk who shouldn't be dealing with customers at all. read more

Why offer free tire air pressure check services when you make people wait forever! Sitting in line for 20 mins, cars behind me have left, the guy first in line is now out of his car, and frustratedly looking around. Employees walking around, but no one available to service the growing line of cars here. This is the 2nd time this is happening to us. Last time we were first in line, waited 15 mins, and had to get out and try to use the machine ourselves, before someone came running telling us to step away. They have too many worthless employees walking around doing nothing and when you go, ask them about the service they will give you very long waiting time. I don't know any other shop that offers free tire pressure checks - with free service - and will fix your flat tire FOR FREE, no matter where your tires came from. I previously went to discount tire on gulf freeway to get truck tires balanced and rotated , well I don't think they did either,vehicle felt the same as when I took it there , the next day on 4/10/23 I took it to the discount tire in Sugar Land on 90 I explained to them my problem,they rotated and balanced the tires now my vehicle rides smooth like it's supposed to . NEVER AGAIN will I come to this location. Discount Tire is usually my go to because they are consistent with their service; however, this visit had me rethinking this company in general. I waited for less than 5 minutes and was met by the Assistant manager on a Tuesday morning. I explained my issue and he listened, asked me if my spare was old and proceeded to tell me they didnt have my replacement tire in stock. I noted that I was not interestedin any other brand and wanted to place my spare on. He agreed and they drove my car in the garage. I can only assume, but cannot confirm what conversations happened while in the garage, but was met by another representative/technician who told me that my spare was too old to put on and that they could not do it, but I could buy a new spare. When I inquired about the price, I was met with a... "I dont know, but they could get pricy." He talked around the question a bit more, so I asked it again. He said "maybe $150-$200." My face went blank. Ladies and Gents... let me do the logic and a little math for you... So you see a female in distress (at your mercy because of a tire issue), you meet her with semi-unfriendly (salesmen-like) service, agree to put her spare tire on, come back and note that you in fact cannot put her spare on and attempt to sale her another spare that cost just as much, if not more than her replacement tire would have cost (including the roadside hazard).... what? Are you kidding me? That's my only option. I'm done, smiley face has exited the building. There is a great sales slogan that works everytime... "What the eye sees, the eye buys." Discount Tire location, please work on stocking your tires. Had you done that you would have gotten the sale and perhaps the sale on all 4 tires. Intersting, so none of these options included looking up the closest Discount Tire location with the tires in stock. Let's just say after I requested that I took the risk and drove to Discount Tire that had my tires in stock and bought 4... yes ladies and gents 4 Brannnnnnd Spanking New tires. Their service was awesome. The gentleman saw my stress laid it all out and let me make the decision. I was most grateful. It cost me more than I anticipated, but I would pass the 7620 Hwy 90 location again even I had 4 flat tires. Just because Im a female and in distress, doesnt mean I am desperate. Here are some recommendations: dont make assumptions about your customers, keep appropriate inventory, please personable and not dry, do not upsale when you see a chance to make extra money, please engage in customer sensitivity/customer service training (no one likes replacing tires, please make it a pleasant experience), offer consistent service, you dont have to go above and beyond but if I even feel like you are... I will be most appreciative. That is how you make a sale, use emotional intelligence to react to your customers appropriately. Interesting that my phone had no service while there. Worst customer service. I took my car in to get a tire checked. It had a nail, so I ended up buying four tires. I had Covid and I stayed away from all. So when it came time to leave, they had my car backed into a spot. This is unusual. They walked me to my door and it was on the right side. I went straight home to be away from everyone. This all happened on Monday. I drove home like 2 miles. On Wednesday I took my car out of my garage. When I went to my first locations, I went in and when I came out, I saw this hit. Now, when I took it back, which now I put on 4 miles, and we both looked at the odometer. The Manager at the time was very frustrated that I would even ask him to come out and take a look at it. Very bad manners. he told me Discount will not do anything about this, so why do it. The advisor put this deal in someone else's name. I pointed to the advisor. I went specifically out with him to see his device that measures tread depth. I was very intrigued. Neither one of us saw anything on that front right fender I kept saying ask him he's the advisor that took me in. He said nope you're thinking about another guy. Finally, I mentioned it to both of them and then he seemed to remember me weird. Needless to say I got an appraisal for my car and it was $1300. Toyota. They only offered me $300 as a good gesture. Store location 7620 Hwy 90a. I had a bad experience. I have paid life time rotate & balance for my car tires. I asked and service personal that I would like to get my car tires rotate & balance. I notice guys did only rotation and asked the fellow who did that that it has to be balance all four tires. He said ticket says only rotate. I went in and talked to the person who took my car in and he went in and told guy to do front two tires only. I went back in office and talked with manager and finally they did balance two rear tires. My opinion, they try to do as many as care they can do so they are taking short cut , so watch out. Terrible service and nobody helps you put air in your tires. They intentionally walk around and help elsewhere.

Been there a couple of times in the last few years. It's been a favorite location for me as they get me in and out. Luckily havent needed too many or hardcore repairs. Usually just a flat or nail(s) in the tire. They would patch it right up and send me on my way. On this current occasion, I needed a new tire due to the nail being huge. Luckily it was under warranty so instead of 309$ (with all the fees), I payed $36 for the 1 tire. Not bad. I always make an appointment for first thing in the morning and I am usually the first one on site. I am able to get to work on time as well. Even if I'm not able to make an appt, they do take walk-ins but each day is different and I'm sure weekends are busiest. I try to go on a weekday if I can. Due to the pandemic, they have set up social distancing within the wait room. Red tape on the floor and a sign stating to not lean on the counter. Chairs are spaced out. If they dont need to take your keys, they wont. I pulled in my car myself and held on to my keys as they worked on my tires. Employees are wearing surgical masks. I havent had any issues with them. Staff has been helpful and quick. Will continue to go to them as my favorite and convenient Discount Tire location. read more

Friendly service. I got new tires here and then recently went back for a tire rotation. Each time the service was good, friendly, and explained the costs and tire options. The waiting space is clean and large. I made a reservation online both times and the service didn't take long. The entrance to the store is hard to find but having spoken to them, Sugar Land won't let them put it anywhere else. They could definitely use some signage. The only annoying thing is that as I left are my tire rotation, the guy told em they checked the tire pressure. As I drove away, the tire pressure warning came on. My husband checked the tires and they were fine but maybe a little high. I like this location, it isn't crazy busy, likely due to the hard to find entrance. read more

Have used Discount Tire for many many years. Lived up to their reputation for reasonable prices and polite/professional service. I've gotten used to the long wait even with an appointment. The one thing that disappoints again and again at this location is getting air in my tires. According to their website, this was the slowest time of day. Waited 24 minutes. I was the only one in line. The ONLY one! 24 minutes! I watched employees walk back and forth around me. Finally a nice guy came out to take care of me. I always tipped $5 in appreciation and will continue but maybe at a different location. Why advertise this benefit if it sooo long to do it??? Took my car in to remove a bolt on my tire and they replaced it under warranty. So I thought... came home and saw the bolt was still there. Took it back this morning and they couldn't find the wheel lock. Umm how were they able to replace the tire yesterday if they said they replaced the wrong tire? Had to bring supervisor in for them to replace all of my wheels lock to get it replaced. So disappointed with this location. read more

Came in at 1:00p and ordered 4 new tires, they arrived at amazing speed in just a few hours. They called me at 3:48p, just a few hours later, and told me they'd put me in the queue now so if I get there in about 45 minutes they'll get me right in. I arrived at 4:45 to watch them service every car under the sun before finally pulling mine in at 6:15p (they closed at 6:00p). Did not finally get my car until almost 7:00p, an hour after they closed, a 2 1/4 hour wait. Service was decent, just plan on leaving your car there all afternoon. read more
