Due to travel time constraints, we took the old battery back to the Advance Auto Parts store in Hesperia, CA to get the core charge refund. Even showing the receipt to the clerk, when they scanned the receipt, the core charge didn't pull up, thus they could not issue a refund...because guess what...Advance Auto Parts has a GLITCH in their system. So now Advance Auto Parts computer problem is my problem and I can't get a refund. After several calls to customer service, they offered to send me a $22 check for the refund which I refused. I told her, you already got your money....why should I have to wait for my money. Again, a few more calls and we were able to take the battery back to the Hesperia location and get $22 cash refund. Note, our drivers license was scanned in order to get the refund. With all of the cyber breaches happening...another reason why NOT TO PURCHASE anything from Advance Auto Parts. How many people are in the same situation as we were buying something with a core charge and returning the core to a different store and not being able to get a refund. They said I needed a main motor seal that's going to coast me $2824.62. I was so upset I took to Schwab tire service in Victorville. They said you don't need a main motor seal, valley hi Toyota service did a sloppy oil change that left oil all over the bottom of my engine, Schwab tire service cleaned the oil from bottom of my engine, no more leaks. Watch out for Valley Hi Toyota mechanic Service they will lie in front of your face and try to take as much money from you. After the system installed by a different high desert audio shop stopped working (sub and amp blew…read moreout) I was looking for another trusted shop to help me get back up and running. It turns out the other shop didn't set up the amp properly causing it to fry (see picture). I waited too long to address it because I work very long hours down below and the warranty lapses so I was out of luck at the old shop. Basically for about half the price that I paid for the bad setup, I was able to get some quality subs and an amp installed. They leveled and tested everything and it sounds absolutely amazing! I highly recommend Sound City 2 they are honest and reasonable. They also do great work! Go see them for all your car audio needs! I also saw them building Customer boxes and Custom center stacks for cars. They do it all! Give them a call or stop by!
