Super disappointed to report that I showed up today at 12:30 (posted hours are open at noon) as a walk in and the place was locked up tight, nobody in sight, so I called and there was no answer. Tristan Terrible piercer!He was not gentle at all. I was told a longer bar was needed. I went to a few places to find a new bar and then each piercer said that I did not need a longer bar. I went three days ago to get my septum pierced and the piercer pierced it wrong. It hurt so bad when I got it done and wanted even through the holes he marked with the sharpie. Instead, he pierced the very bottom of my columella :/ the workers were all nice but it just sucks how bad they messed up my piercing. Piercing Review Don't go here for piercings! They don't know what they're doing, charge you for every little thing, and just generally don't give a fuck about their clients. I came here to get a nose piercing and the initial piercing was fine(this was done by the apprentice). When I got it done, I asked when would I be able to change the jewelry out and if they had any recommendations on where to buy jewelry. I waited the 2 months like they advised and bought jewelry from the website they recommended. I even went back in to get help with changing out the jewelry. This is where the problem began. The piercer(their main piercer) switched out the jewelry for me but failed to note that the jewelry he put in was too small and did not go all the way through the hole. I didn't realize this until I was home and I was looking at the piercing from the inside of my nose and notice the jewelry wasn't poking through. Which of course led to the hole closing = giant waste of money!! When I realized the jewelry wasn't poking through I decided to just have the old jewelry put back in. I went back 2 days later (soonest I could get there bc of work). The piercer made one quick and low effort attempt at putting it back in, but couldn't bc the hole had closed. So in all, i spent $50 on the original piercing, another $10 to have the jewelry switched; and then anotherrr $10 just for him to attempt putting the jewelry back in. Which led me to spending another $50 to get it repierced....at another shop of course. I wasn't going to give them another dime after charging me $10 to do literally nothing! And failing to notice the jewelry wasn't poking through, the only thing he really had to check for and didn't which led to it closing! So yea don't get piercings here. I had a significantly better experience getting pierced by Kat at La Familia Tattoo shop off of K and 17th. read more

I went to AV Ink for three of my piercings and all three of them rejected or were done wrong. I had an industrial done on my right ear and it rejected and left a massive keloid that I have to go to a plastic surgeon to get steroids injected into it. And according to another piercer at a different shop, I don't even have the anatomy for an industrial in that ear. They also did my conch, but according to the same piercer who told me about my industrial, it wasn't even in the right place. She marked where it should've been and was telling me how where it was now inside my ear it will never heal and I had to take it out. I also had a belly button piercing that wasn't healing and I had to remove it. All of my piercings were done wrong or shouldn't have been done in the first place and now it was just a waste of money. I think I am down now about $200 because all the piercings have now been removed. read more

Very rude staff and I would not recommend going there for any services. I would have rated them a 0 if possible.

I called at 12:14pm to make sure they accept walk-ins for a 4:15-4:30pm time frame. The guy that answered the phone said I didn't need an appointment and that I could walk in. Upon walking into the tattoo shop at 4:15pm the young guy at the front said they could not accommodate us despite me calling. The guy was very rude and disrespectful and had an attitude the entire time. Would not recommend this shop, they are liars and do not deserve your time or money. read more

The piercer was rude I went and got my belly pierced he did it off to the side when he clearly marked in the middle which I didn't understand so he told me to take the jewelry out let it heal and he'll redo it. I went to get it redone and he did it with very little skin so my belly piercing looks like it's barely holding on then he had the nerve to get a attitude with me because he said I marked it and you and your boyfriend agreed the first time so it's your fault. First of all I came with my 4year old son so you have me confused with someone else you messed up on if your that confused that means you mess up AOLT and Of course I agreed when it was marked fine you decided to pierce it off center so its YOUR FAULT it was very unprofessional never again will I go there. Got an industrial piercing and found out that my industrial piercing bar was too small and it was folding my ear and making making it where my ear had no room to breathe. Ended up having to go to get it redone from another tattoo shop that my friend recommended to relieve the pressure. He also self tipped himself and charge me 20 extra dollars for the piercing. Now I have to wait 6- 8 weeks for my ear to fully heal before I can get it redone. Waste of money don't recommend. read more

Had to have my ear lobe piercing fixed because the first time they were super uneven and close together. Then on Yelp and the website it shows they accept Apple Pay but don't in the store. I hate to be a Karen but when I called they said 30$ for both ears and it ended up being 60$ just to piece one set of ears. So my total came up to 120. When it should've been 60$. Will never come back there again. I did however appreciate how kind the piercing lady was and how kind she was about fixing it even though once she "fixed" it it was still jacked up. I ended up just taking one of the earrings out to pierce it myself because it was so uneven. read more

My husband and huge Legend of Zelda fans and have been wanting to get a couple of LoZ related symbols tattooed on our ring fingers. We had previously lived in a small town in Texas and while searching there and surrounding areas we couldn't find a artist we trusted to do the watercolor look we wanted behind the main design. Fast forward a few years later and one move back to the AV and we found James at AV Ink! We spent a few days researching local artists, looking at Instagram profiles and website portfolios and decided to go to James because he was one of the only people who had previous watercolor work experience and the rest of his art just really stood out from everything else we looked at. When we walked in he greeted us warmly and immediately started talking to us about what we wanted and all that it entailed. He made sure we understood that hand tattoos can fade because of the regeneration of hand and finger tissue but he also said that any touch ups needed in the future due to that would be an included service. He also told us he was booked until November but since my husband has time off from his construction job he wanted to get us in during that time so the tattoo could heal properly and he squeezed us in at the end of one of his days. Overall not only was he professional but he was so mindful of our daily lives and amazingly accommodating. During our appointment he make sure his work area was meticulously clean and sterile. For my design he freehanded the drawing a few times with a pen on my finger before getting to work. During the process he made sure I was doing okay and did the same for my husband. And after it was all done he went through after care thoroughly. I highly recommend James for any of your tattoo desires! Hell, I recommend everyone at AV Ink! All the different artists we saw working while we were there were doing some amazing pieces! read more

I am so so so happy with the decision to have my half sleeve re-colored here. James the owner is an incredible tattoo artist. He was able to perfectly capture what I wanted with my tattoo and it came out beyond incredible. I can't put into words how happy I am. The color is so vibrant and pops exactly like I had asked for. The whole experience was great. The shop is the cleanest I've ever been in and everyone who works there really seems to take pride in what they do. They truely care about their customers and it shows. James did everything he could to keep my mind off the pain of having half my arm re-tattooed and made the experience more fun.
