Then came the Summer of renovations at our house. GSL is a one-stop shop for so many things on the exterior of your home. In the last couple of months they have sourced and planted thirteen(!!) INCREDIBLE trees for us, done concrete work along the sides of our house, replaced seven of or basement window boxes (we live in Old Towne Orange) and as I type this, they are putting the finishing touches on a custom front yard fence they designed and then constructed in a single day. Now I think I am going to use them for my backyard fence and cellar door. They are responsive, fair priced, and FLEXIBLE. GSL is like a general contractor for all things outdoors. Pretty awesome. The first time, I called him twice and each time he promised a bid--but I never got one. The third time, a Spanish-speaking friend called him for me and we finally got a bid. He mentioned in late August that he couldn't get to it until the beginning of October. In the meantime, I sent him some new drawings that simplified the solution. OK. After a couple more calls he submitted a revised bid that looked acceptable. Fast forward to today--the job is complete with another contractor. Beware of companies that are so busy that they are bidding with high prices hoping something sticks. They are SO busy---they don't need your work. I have lost trust in Romero. I cannot judge his work--however if his response before the work is any indication--I would NOT recommend him or expect that he would stand behind his work. Use extreme caution if you choose his services.
