David and team did a great job and we are very happy with the outcome. He is very responsive and good to work with. We had the driveway replaced with pavers and it looks fabulous. He had good ideas to help us out. He was always conscious of the cost and would let us know if our ideas would be over our budget. David was at the job site everyday and sometimes twice. We had a wonderful experience when using David to finish out our backyard and frontyard after a pool remodel. We couldn't find a better price and were able to add more to the job than we thought we could. We had David and his efficient crew install new sod in the front and finish out all hardscape around our newly done pool area in the back. It was a tricky job with the concrete because of draining and grading issues, but they did an excellent job solving all of those issues. In the backyard, he also laid new sod, added mulch/lining under our trampoline area and basically made our backyard look beautiful. The crew installed a drip system in the front and back that has been a lifesaver. He is very knowledgable about all things hardscape and landscape as well as responsible. He had many suggestions that saved us in cost and helped us get everything we wanted in the end. He has even stopped by months after the job to fix and adjust our sprinkler system. I really appreciate all that he did to make our backyard possible and the excellent service he has provided since then. read more

Don't waste your money here! I hired them to resod my lawn last April 2022. I had to prep my yard myself. They installed sod in one day and did not roll the sod after it was installed. When they were finished, I noticed some places where there were gaps and needed more sod. I asked them to bring more sod to fill in but they did not. In fact, they did nothing to follow-up at all. And they were all over me for payment immediatley. I paid them, of course, but I would definitely not recommend their service. Go someplace else! read more

I hired David Flores to lay a new concrete patio slab. Upon inspection after work was completed, I found the concrete collecting water by the back steps and by the chimney up against the house. I had specifically asked him to insure the concrete sloped toward the grass and NOT toward the house. This would be expected in any event. Also, he had splashed concrete all over the stucco walls. I called him to see what he would do to correct the issues. After several weeks, he finally sent someone to attempt to fix the sloping concrete. Apparently he did not know how to fix the sloping issue. He just laid an additional layer of new concrete in the low spots and feathered it out. He used a different concrete from the original so now these new areas are much darker than the original and will never lighten up even though we added water to the area daily as David had instructed. After a few days, the new layer of concrete is showing cracks as you can see from the pictures. It is obvious his company does not know how to perform proper concrete work. He also used the wrong paint to cover up all of the splashed concrete on the stucco walls. I had the correct paint since my house was recently painted but he used the gloss white trim paint instead. I called him but he did not answer. After several calls and text messages, I finally gave up and repainted the walls myself. I now need to hire a real professional to correct the concrete slab issue at an additional expense. I do NOT recommend D. Flores Landscaping for any sort of concrete work. read more

Very disappointed in David and his lack of follow up and supervision of a job we needed done before a party for our daughter recently. I gave him two months notice and he has been MIA for the past few weeks. The job is half finished and we had to scramble to get someone else to complete it. I sent him numerous texts and left messages. He had alot of excuses and promises but no follow through. He also does not do the work himself. We were charged $280 to remove a tree stump that my husband ended up removing over the course of 2 hours last weekend. AS far as our monthly service with him went, his "helper" did the bare minimum and spent less than 30 minutes each visit. We paid $180/month and I was always the one texting and calling for him to follow up on landscaping issues that his helper should have noticed. Save yourself the aggravation and don't use this company. read more

I fired this guy years ago because he wouldn't mow how I asked. He does my neighbors yards and he left the gate open and the dog got out. I got the dog back to the yard and David Flores told me he didn't care that the dog got out and just call the pound. Wow nice guy doesn't care about your pets. I hired D Flores to provide weekly maintenance on my yard. He was due to start on Wednesday, April 3rd. The maintenance crew did not show up. After several attempts to contact D Flores, he finally responded to my email and informed me that he had changed the day for doing the work to Thursday. On Thursday, April 11th, the maintenance crew again failed to show up. I have left four phone messages and one email for D Flores asking for an explanation and have not had a response. Unfortunately, I cannot get them to come back to finish the work they indicated in their estimate they were going to do. Stupid me, I paid them after they finished the first phase of the job, so why should they bother to come back. Very disappointed in the work done and lack of follow up. I paid $3600 for sprinkler installation, 5 valves to rework an existing system. The work took nearly 3 months. I was not in a huge hurry and didn't mind allowing flexibility, but then it became a bit too casual. I specifically stated areas I did not want water, but in the end every inch of my property had a drip system with no discussion of deviating from my needs and desires. I specifically explained the areas I did not want water up front. Afterwards the companies owners response was "you will have water there in case you ever need it". ?????? I have older mature plants that did not need water......now being watered with runoff. More disappointing was there was never a walk thru once the work was completed. Only a request for payment. I have had a number of problems with connections blowing off, flooding my neighbors driveway and carport with water. The owner David was quick to say It was because I was adjusting the sprinkler heads. Not accurate. His final visit he dialed the pressure down so low I am not getting even flow now. He said he would come back. He has not. Once I paid him, I have not heard back from him. My sprinklers are still not functioning properly. Very disappointing, and expensive to receive no follow up whatsoever as promised. The owner and his workers are very nice people, but sadly I cannot recommend this company for sprinklers or gardening maintenance. read more
