He told me he would fix it but never did.. so this morning I texted him to ask if he would fix it so I can secure something in writing. Me: Will you had quoted me $165 an hour because we had changed it to a Monday instead of a Friday? This morning... I decided to text him and ask if he had a moment to fix the e-mail and this is how it went... Me: Good Morning Will I did not receive a revised e-mail from you? Will: Ma'am, that's because I haven't got to it yet. I am very busy. Will: I have moves on the books for every day right now I never asked him to change amounts I just asked what they were... he said week days are cheaper. Me: Sir I spoke to you last week and on the phone you told me you were in the middle of the move verbally that you would get to it 20 minutes that's what you told me Is there some other way I should deal with us or somebody else I'm feeling like we are not on the same page ? Will: I can refer you to somebody else ma'am you already complaining about my rates so it's either you can wait until I send the email I'm on the job I'm in the field every day I can refer you to somebody else will lower rates I told you I'll get to it when I can you don't seem to understand I never forgot about your move. I thought his rates were reasonable and he was a complete pro. After fiddling with everything for a while, he showed me the receiver was shot. We looked online together and he helped me find a receiver that would work (it needed to be Dolby 7.2 and have multiple zones) and I ordered it. After trying to get it all setup and working for MONTHS I finally figured it was worth getting a professional. Let me just say--Jacob was extraordinary. I had an appointment scheduled with him and an appointment scheduled with Safe Home later today. I wanted to price compare and get a feel for if someone was just trying to upsell me or if they were genuine and listened to what I wanted. I am SO glad JSB was scheduled first because immediately, I knew this guy was an expert. He listened to what I wanted, didn't try to upsell me, and made some great recommendations based on his years of experience. He was even able to connect my electronic door locks to my new security system!! Not to mention that during this process, he identified that I have had my Wifi set up incorrectly for years (I had my router and my Orbi set up with the same username and password, so they were competing with each other rather than working together). So now, I not only have an EASY TO USE security system (which is what I wanted), but now my locks are managed from my phone, and my internet is working so much better, haha! He was very meticulous and made sure everything was perfect at the end. He even brought his own TV mount, which he included in the price, and cleaned up all the dust before he left. We threw him a few curveballs - asked to add a sound bar mount last minute which didn't give him much room to work with, but he made it happen! Also while he was here, we asked him to help mount a heavy piece of wall art, which he did very quickly and only charged a few dollars extra. He left us with some extra zip ties for cable management, and made sure the tv was level prior to leaving (even took the whole mount down to start over and realign at one point). Martin also mentioned he has experience in IT and networking, so we will definitely be calling him back to help make our home a 'smart' home. Highly recommend!
