We used Biltmore for a bathroom remodel in the summer of 2022. It took 3 months and cost $67,000…read more It was an absolute nightmare working with Dave at Biltmore. He flooded our basement twice with an incorrect installation of a water softener. If we hadn't been home our entire basement would have been ruined. He flooded our family room ceiling (see photos) twice. They fixed it (twice) but it still looks lumpy, and ceiling paint was splattered all over our accent wall. At the end of the project, there were many things we were unsatisfied with. We requested a discount off the final invoice. Instead of granting us the discount, he threatened to put a lien on our house. He bullied me and convinced me that "this is not a problem" when it was. He came to my house when I was alone (I am a female) and picked a fight with me, insisting that my concerns were not valid. "There's a grimy film on our tile," I said. And his response was "That's just the way the tile is; there is nothing wrong with it." He lied to my face multiple times, made empty promises and he cannot be trusted. Here is the list of all the problems we encountered, that were never fixed: - The workers didn't follow the design. The bathtub niche placement was incorrect and the shower niche didn't use the bullnose. We paid over $300 for bullnose but that was never used. We requested a discount for that, but it was not honored. - They left a residue on the tiles. Many of the tiles have a grimy residue that will not come off and is a result of them not cleaning after they grouted. There are bits of grime all over the floor and it's very annoying because it's really visible and I can't get it clean. - The workers used our guest bathroom to clean their equipment and got dirt all over the counter. Some of that dirt landed in my dental retainer, which I had left on the counter. - They installed the wrong drain in the tub. I had to correct them to get them to change the drain. - The bathtub faucet never arrived and Dave lied about "looking everywhere" so they could continue the job. I got frustrated one day and searched for the faucet online myself. This faucet was available from the Kohler website and at the Ferguson website. I ended up purchasing the faucet myself so that the project could continue. Even after that, Dave swore up and down that he was checking for the faucet online every day. - Because they had to install the bath tub faucet after the tile was in place, they ended up scratching the tile around the faucet and it's very visible. - The person who sold us the job quit working for Biltmore before the job started. As a result, the design wasn't monitored and mistakes were made in the design. - The "project manager" (Jamal) entered our home without our permission. We removed the lock box from the door and told him we would not be home until 8:30 am. Despite this, he walked into our house (we accidentally left the door unlocked) while my husband was taking a shower. Contractors should not enter your home without your permission. - The counter top caulking to the wall is completely cracked. - The bedroom carpet threshold is messed up. There is a big lump of carpet and when you walk over it you can feel the tack strip under your feet. - The medicine cabinets they ordered only came with 2 shelves. I had to buy additional shelves myself. - Dave promised to come over for one final walk through with his workers and he never did. The workers showed up, but he wasn't there. - Cabinet handles are not level. We are currently exploring legal options. This experience was a nightmare and I highly recommend against using Biltmore.

You need to look closely at the payment schedule; otherwise, you will pay up to 85% of the project money before you can see anything installed on your kitchen wall. 2. The project leader Matt asked the client to pay the project money even before that task was largely completed. 3. They asked to give the parking spaces for them to use on the contract; however, they asked the senior lady to give up the parking lot that she spent several hours on digging out her car from a big snowstorm that happened in February 2026 with more than 9-inch snowfall. The unclear instructions for kitchen materials selections frustrated the client most. It was a nightmare experience to work with them.

After our previous contractor left us without communication and without starting the job, we were referred to Greg, who immediately jumped in to get the job done before our move-in date: from start to finish, they were able to take down the wall, add lighting, and paint the room in one week! They offered super helpful advice and solutions to problems we didn't anticipate, like adding tasteful cedar planks to cover unfinished walls left by the previous owners. Not only were they quick and professional, but Greg patiently emailed back and forth with me while at work (since I couldn't have my phone on me) to go over my ideas and keep me updating on what was going on. We were honest, saying we had reached out to other contractors, but that we like him and wanted a quote. He told us to move forward with them as he is pretty busy. Period. The end. I have had increasing challenges with rheumatoid arthritis and Dave Taghipour, the owner, and Oksana, the designer, listened carefully to my current obstacles in these spaces and worked with me to develop beautiful, accessible, spaces where form follows function. Their showroom has a wide variety of samples, but they are also flexible about incorporating clients' specific choices. Compared to other design/install companies in the area, they are far less costly and finished all 4 spaces within the initial timeframe they had initially quoted and kept me updated throughout the renovation. The Eco workers are very reliable, friendly and respectful of the clients' space and belongings. Not only did they cover and vent all work areas, they cleaned and tidied up every night and Eco had my house professionally cleaned at the end of the work. I could go on and on about how impressed I am with All Eco and their work, but the final pictures say it all. I love showing off my gorgeous bathrooms and laundry room, which, because All Eco put additional effort into listening and understanding my specific needs/challenges given my disabilities, has made daily use of these space worlds easier for me. But as the saying goes, "happy wife, happy life," or "happy spouse, happy house." After receiving several quotes, we decided to select All Eco Design Center as our contractor due to the customization features we could select, their extensive knowledge of homes in our area, and seeing some of their previous work. We started the process by sending some inspiration pictures to Oksana (designer) and Dave (owner). Our goal for this project was to maintain the structural integrity of the house and update the bathrooms while maintaining the character of the house and incorporating accessibility features without looking too clinical. After a few design sessions, Oksana and Dave captured our design via 3D model, and proposed some recommendations. I appreciated that Dave's company is a full-service operation, with teams specializing in tile, plumbing, electrical, drywall/finishing, etc. Yuri the project manager was also very attentive and thorough. Each employee's craftsmanship showed they were invested in completing the job as if they were doing it for their own home. As no construction project goes without some minor complications, it is noteworthy that this team is accessible and timely to deal with any unexpected events, ensuring the project is completed to the customer's vision. Instead our project was completed ahead of schedule, just under budget, and the quality of the work was excellent. And that includes an expanded project scope that came up when we discovered large issues with a neighboring property. Fairmont was incredibly flexible and easy to work with. They were always willing to listen to our ideas and make changes as needed. They were also very responsive to my questions and concerns. Fairmont's foreman or a partner subcontractor was on-site on average more than five days a week for the entire many-month project. This allowed them to keep a close eye on the work and make sure that everything was done to the highest standards, and if not the first time, they made sure it was redone. Unlike several neighboring projects, we had no stop work orders, no neighbor complaints (complements actually), and all our inspections were successful. I would highly recommend Fairmont to anyone looking for a home builder or doing a major urban renovation. They are professional, reliable, and they do great work.

However, I am an old house lover (now a three-time renovator) and keeping or reinventing old house detail was important. Carlos manages construction, the tradesmen, the sub-contractors, and the overall quality of the workmanship on the job. He is an experienced builder, taking pride in bringing ideas to life but careful to offer full disclosure on the pros, cons and risks of each option. Jose manages the business side of the project - budgeting and billing, tracking and documenting changes, purchase of materials, recommending vendors for kitchen design, tiles, stone, flooring etc. Most important was his management of communications between Fairmont and me, the homeowner. Jose took time to ask questions and listen carefully to answers. I know and appreciate how rare it is to have good communication. I also have lived the consequences of mediocre communication. Mistakes are costly. Jose follows a protocol of asking, clarifying, and following up with an email restating our discussion and inviting me to comment, add, or correct. The answers don't matter as much as the asking and listening. This worked so well there were no horror stories. To summarize: Strong management of the permitting process, of sub-contractors, deliveries, security of the property and use of appropriate safety measures. I think its important to say also that the project was managed ethically, honestly and respectfully. Everyone on the job was pleasant and upbeat. Weekly walk-thru meetings insuring the work was proceeding according to agreement. Efficient cascade of information, decisions and/or changes, from homeowner and Fairmont to the tradesmen and subcontractors. A solid team of workers - excellent workmanship, site management and daily clean-up. Also, no profanity or loudness, no littering, no complaints from neighbors, and very happily, no accidents. Lastly, Fairmont checks in with you periodically during the year following move-in. Together we created a list of little adjustments and changes that you can't anticipate until you move in. All done! The house is lovely - beautiful carpentry, millwork and all the details that make it livable for me. I feel very fortunate to have done this work with Fairmont and I would recommend them without reservation!
