She listens to what you are looking for (if your shoulders have been stiff, or if you want a relaxing massage that day), she's really strong, and very skilled at making knotty muscles behave! I love that I can ask her for the sciencey-answer to what she's doing or what muscles are locked up; it empowers me to learn more about my body and how to care for it afterwards! The spa itself offers convenient online booking, it's very clean and peaceful (and looks down onto the ocean!), and their customer service is top notch. I use their Wellness Plan option, which offers a year of monthly massage appointments for a slight discount. Love it!! I hope this place stays here forever. And the fact that it's right beside the ocean means that if you want to continue relaxing after your massage, you can just walk downstairs and sit on the beach.

I told her I wanted deep tissue & to not be gentle. It started off ok, but as she got further along I thought "did I pay for a massage or merely to be inadequately rubbed with lotion". You know the massage isn't great when you're left laying there wondering when it's going to be over and it feeling like it's taking forever. I was handled with care in every step of the way. Genie is my genie in a bottle. She's very professional, very careful and I could tell she loves what she does and do it so very well.. First the assessment. Genie takes a good look at my face and skin texture and, at the same time explains what she sees and what she thinks I need. I replied: Please by all means make me bright and shiny! Two hours of pampering, steaming, peeling, and some gentle strokes across my face. She's very gentle and super efficient. Of course, I couldn't see most of the time but I could tell she was working her magic. Every product she applied smell so heavenly and friendly. I never reacted like cough or get irritated at all. Everything smelled so yummy. You know how some smell you don't do well with. Not one problem as I have in the past. Not her products. She explained that these products are well picked and within every regulations of aesthetic guidelines. I'm all for that! Products are both from Korea and Germany. All in all, Genie made sure I was comfy. She's open for any questions if I had any. This place is super clean. Best of all, she's on time! One thing to remember is to either keep your appointment or cancel within 24 hrs. Otherwise, it will cost you half or the full amount. I thought I'd disclose this info to save all of you some time to think. Either way, I thought it went very well and am thinking about proceeding to get a set of treatments in the near future.
