I just bought a 2014 Street Glide from them and I have to say I enjoyed the experience. Johnnie, Chris, Drew, Dwight, Jack, COdy (I know I am missed a couple others), were great to work with and really helped me through the buying process. I found them knowledgeable on the bikes and they were straightforward on my questions. As for the people who made comments on sales tactics, I have a big surprise for you...they sell things and try to make money doing it. If you walk into a dealership to buy something, be prepared to negotiate with them. Do not take their first price and do not feel bad if they are trying to get their best price from you. Shame on you (not them) if you do not fight for a better deal for yourself. For the negative comments on service, the service department has been great to work with so far but I will update my review if I notice anything amiss as I work with them (I purchased some addons...I will let you know how that goes). As for finance, I found Cody easy to work with. Sure he tried to sell me everything under the sun but that is his job. I found three words that made the finance experience easier, "No thank you." It worked like a charm and Cody did not push when I said it. PROS: 1. When you purchase a HD you ARE buying into the Harley family. It is bigger than just the dealer, you are walking into 111 years of tradition that is real to the people that ride Harleys. You are going to pay a premium for that, if you don't want to, then buy a Honda. 2. Sales team was knowledgeable and went over the bikes thoroughly. 3. Got to meet everyone in every department and they spent time with me to be sure I got all I needed from them (it took a few hours to make the rounds). 4. Large selection to look at. Some dealers are very restricted on the bikes they have in stock. Avalanche has a lot of bikes! 5. Harleys hold their value. If you go to trade in or sell your bike, you will appreciate the HD name plate when you get a price quote or offer for it. 6. Well stocked accessory department which is good because owning a Harley is about customizing the bike to your personality. CONS: 1. The sales process. No way around it, we all would like to walk in and get the best deal but you have to work for it. If you find the bike you want, be prepared to fight for it! Don't blame the sales person for getting their price when you could not get yours. 2. The Harley premium price. They cost more. When you walk into the dealership understand that. When you walk into a Lexus dealer, if you cannot afford them, they will give you the address of their sister Toyota dealer. Harley is along the same line of thinking about their bikes. But they push it even more than Lexus! 3. I miss liquid cooling; plain and simple. 4. Bad stock rear seat for my wife. Had to fork out over almost a grand to get a nice one for her. They don't need the one I purchased but they need better! Overall I had a great experience. I got a good bike at a good price (yes, I negotiated) sold to me by a good staff. I would recommend them and the people that helped me above. I will keep you updated if the service department does not do well. read more

Buyers Beware! These guys are nothing more then scam artist. Using the classic bait and switch. I recently have made the decision to purchase my first Harley Davidson and after much research decided what model bike. I continued searching until I found what would be the right bike for me. I found the add on cycle trader. I then went to the Avalanche Harley Davidson website and verified bike was on their website same price and details as cycle trader. I made the phone call to Avalanche Harley Davidson and spoke to Ben the salesman. I asked if the bike was still available and about the pricing. He put me on hold to talk to his manager. Few minutes later he comes back on the line and says "Just spoke to my manager, bike is still available. Its priced this way because we are trying to drive foot traffic to our store but whoever is first with the money can buy it." I respond "Perfect, Ill take it! Will you guys be willing to work with a shipping company?" He replied "actually we have a shipping company we use all the time." I say "thats even better!" The conversation ends with he will have a manager call me back to get information for payment and shipping. 5 minutes later my phone rings "Hi this is Kenny from avalanche Harley. We have the bike available for $36000." I reply with "I just spoke with Ben and he confirmed already the bike was available and the price was $29,977." He instantly became hostile saying "Thats not right! Who told you that number" I said "Its posted on your site along with cycle trader and Ben confirmed this with a manager already." "What? On our site? Let me look this up. Huh yup thats what it says on our site so that must be what it is. I'm going to talk to the other manager here will call you right back" That day no call back. I reach out to Kenny the next morning "Yeah the Gm is having a meeting about if we're going to sell you the bike or not. They will call you shortly." I go the rest of the day and hear nothing. I reach out to Kenny again and his response is "The gm didn't call you already?" I reply "nope, I haven't heard anything" He places me on hold to talk to his GM. He then comes back to say "We're not going to sell you the bike, we are taking the add down and going to repost it" I hope this helps save someone the same trouble and maybe think twice about purchasing their Harley Davidson from Avalanche Harley. Harley Davidson if you read this post you might want to think about letting an organization like this represent your brand. Unfortunately this is one less Harley rider that will be out there! So thats the end of my long post. read more

I rode to Harley-Davidson Avalanche with my grandpa to meet with a salesman to show us some bikes my grandpa was interested in. We were greeted with a welcome bag and introduced to a few different salesmen. The salesmen and people at the front door were extremely professional, friendly, and very good with interacting with customers. unfortunately, when we started negotiations on a motorcycle my grandpa was interested in we came to an agreement on the price of the bike itself while considering a trade in offer my grandpa was happy with. We explained upfront that we did not appreciate the pressure tactics one person was trying to get my grandpa to purchase in that very moment. The only problem was Harley needed to make their sales goals for the day and would charge $500 extra if we waited to sign until tomorrow, the minute they opened. I completely understand this business perspective, but I did not appreciate the persistence with my 69 year old grandfather. We tried to explain that we needed to go home and talk further about it with other family members but were happy with the price they quoted before the added $500. The negotiator, asked the question, "what is the difference between 10 minutes and tomorrow" I responded, "a few hours to think about a $20,000+ purchase." He responded, "it isn't $20,000 considering the trade in value." He later said he could take off the $500 but he said and I quote, "I can but I won't". He later promptly got up and walked away in another poorly performed negotiation tactic that was a little unprofessional. I shook the original salesmen's hand and apologized if we wasted any of his time and he maintained his professionalism at all times. I'm sure he is a very nice guy when you get to know him but I recommend a more ethical way of conducting business such as less pressure tactics on older men, not refusing a sale that you can and are aloud to make but, "won't", and a little more patience in general when someone is thinking of spending that much money. I hope he address this with himself for the sake of the business that myself and my grandpa love. I hope the salesmen don't have to rely on him every time they have a probable sale because they were great at their jobs, professional, and hardworking. It would be a shame if they have lost other sales such as this because of his negotiation tactics. Despite all of this we love Harley and bought a few shirts anyway. If Harley feels I have misrepresented their business or taken any quotes out of contexts I would be happy to discuss further. read more

It was a good experience, though I did have to spend quite some time negotiating. I understand that they run a business, and they're not going to give away the store, but I don't want to get mugged, either. I had made up my mind weeks earlier, on what I wanted. I was going to just buy from a private party. I've had better luck with private parties, and I never had to pay 'title fees' or 'administrative fees' to a guy down the block selling his bike. So, I got my financing figured out,, and was doing the Craigslist thing, and the like. I'm not finding what I want right away. No big deal, I'm not in a hurry. I go into the dealership for parts, a rack for another bike I have... and I couldn't help but look... They're friendly, ugh. The first sales rep that I got (now a 'fit specialist') showed me what he had, and I could tell... I was going to fall for it.... Behold they had what I was looking for. He set up a test ride. And the upsell for a new one. I was expecting it. The multiple times they wanted to (upsell me on a new bike / try to get me different financing / change-modify-accidently add a bunch more money/look the new one's cheaper now/look it's a different guy that's selling me the bike with different pricing) was sometimes overbearing, but I honestly expected it. That's their job. They're trying to make a living too. And, I'm not going to ding them for negotiating, Actually, I feel that I have to apologize, because I negotiated right back. I was kind of a jerk. (The next poor SOB trying to sell me a bike) "We're a full disclosure dealership." (Hands me new numbers) "What's this $500 administrative fee?" "That's not negotiable." "Well, I'm a full disclosure customer. I happen to have an "Administrative Fee fee. It happens to be $505. You owe me five bucks." Hours of facepalming, groaning, forehead slapping, and hard bargaining later... we settle on a deal. Yes, I went in for a rack for my other bike, and I walked out with a Street Glide. --- Actually no, they DELIVERED it, no charge. Yeah, I'm surprised too. The whole staff in general, and Guy Lucero in particular, worked hard for me, and I'll be back for sure. read more

Dear avalanche Harley, I am or should say was a Harley virgin. Always got a hold of rice burners for some reason. Decided I wanted a real fucking motorcycle a few years ago and have been looking fairly consistently since. Found a beautiful used wide glide ( I was insistent on dyna wide glide) on the website and decided to make her mine. The sales team did their jobs well. And yes management we discussed new bikes but I wasn't interested. My mind was made up on that model long ago. I bought the bike without even hear her run or test drive, since I don't have endorsement on my license. Paid cash for the majority but paid completely before I got to hear her voice. The voice of an angel! Now I have never even sat on a Harley before and was real nervous about actually riding one. I don't think I have ever heard someone say with enough emphasis what a different kind of ride it is. I realized, on my virgin ride home across town, that I have never truly ridin at all. I Have years of playing on bikes but I had never truly rode. I can't believe I waited so long. I had no idea. If the Lord saw fit to take her from me tomorrow it was worth it! But I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship. Thank you for the experience and for the cherry popping of a lifetime. I'm gonna have Perma grin for a long, long time. As I've been harping for weeks, I am probably moving to Colorado. The state has more sunny days than any place I have ever seen, even in the winter. With that being said, I went into this Harley store to see what type of cost a new bike would be and was blown away! I mean seriously...I have never hit someone with only one star but the treatment I received here was absolutely horrible! I walked around the facility for about ten minutes before someone even approached me which really wasn't that bad of a thing because it was actually cool to view a couple of cool bikes before someone started to convince me to leave. I'm not kidding. When I was finally approached by an employee (I hope he wasn't a sales person), he literally did everything he could to convince to me to leave. Maybe it was just his condscending personality, dry jokes or the fact that I was in jeans, tee and looked like I couldn't "afford" a beautiful chrome Harley. It all started with "What's up"? then, "The price will be much higher after new exhaust, leathers, helmet and clothes that I need to buy" and "If you haven't had a bike before that that one isn't the right bike for you". I couldn't believe it! I not only left the store with a horrible feeling of the brand but with an opinion that there was a club that I didn't want to be part of. This place is living proof that "one" individual can ruin a place. I will merge to the farthest lane in traffic to avoid being close to store again. :( read more

Having bought a Harley a another dealer I have experience with 2 dealerships now. I am also a single female rider with less than stellar credit. Avalanche made me feel completely comfortable. I wasn't rushed. As a matter of fact I was the one with a time frame on a Saturday afternoon so we made an appointment for the following Monday for me to come back and continue the negotiations. Brent (or Brett) REALLY took the time to make sure I was on the right bike. The numbers guy (whose names I've forgotten) didn't pressure me and made sure that I was comfortable with the numbers while making sure that everyone understood that this was a business :0) I appreciate the upfront approach and so did he. I LOVE the VIP passport for service they offer. Make sure you ask about that. After my bike purchase they personally walked me through every single area of the dealership to include service. The other dealership I bought from did not do this. I loved the personal feel. I felt like I belonged there and welcomed. Dan, the finance guy who was brand spanking new worked through kinks and was super nice. One of the nicest surprises was the damn amazing cookies in the awesome tin that just arrived the other day though! I can't say enough nice things about this place. It's over an hour away from me but I will make that trip just for the service that I received. Thanks to everyone at Avalanche!! read more

Our Salesman was Nate Clark. He met us at the front door and there was an immediate connection. He is knowledgeable and showed us different options but never once made us feel pressured or uncomfortable. We are the type that goes to dealerships on Sunday to avoid the high pressure, salesman in your face type of experience. Never once with any of the people we had contact with did we feel any out of control pressure. They listened to our expectations and gave us options to look at. Then they offered us such a deal on a brand new 2020 Street Glide that even other dealers we went to that same day told us they could not beat what they had offered. Hats off to Nate Clark....amazing job!, Harry the General Manager, Johnny S for convincing us to allow them to quote a new bike so that we could compare the deals we were looking at. Andrew in service that kept moving the 2020 Street Glide out so we could see it in the sun and take photos. And the most amazing production after we signed papers on the bike and was sent down the stairs to Another Bites the Dust, clapping, whooping and yells from all of the employees and the ringing of the bell. My name is JD and Im a Fit Specialist at JCHD in Renton, WA. Im originally from Colorado and have moved back and fourth a few times. Most recently I flew to Denver on Sunday 4/23 to pick up my 2006 1200C that I'd left in a friend, Doug's garage. "Big Worm" as I like to call him took great care of my bike while I was out of state but that's not why we're here. The Worm and I have a mutual friend from the industry at Avalanche HD in the Service department by the name of Eddie Apodaca. The three of us have all worked at the same shop in the past and I was pleasantly surprised to see a friendly face when I stepped into Avalanche on my way out of town on a 1451 mile journey back to work at Jet City! Eddie welcomed me in and made sure that I was ready to safely embark on my journey, topping off my oil and checking my tire pressure, all while catching up on life and referring me to a sight called BunkaBiker. I've read both positive and negative reviews about Avalanche. I wanted to transition from a metric bike to a Harley so I packed up the kid and headed to Avalanche. There was no high pressure sales tactics. There was a genuine desire to meet my needs and wants. I applied for financing online and was approved (shockingly due to a horrid divorce). I rode multiple Harleys with no pressure to buy any of them. We worked a deal, and I would become a Harley owner. In the mean time I had a death in the family and could not pick up the bike. Instead of just putting it in the back of a room Avalanche got it prepped, and polished. They then parked it on a lift in the shop for four days until I could make the pickup. JB my fit specialist called and offered his condolences and told me to not worry about anything. When I finally picked up the bike we had an issue with purchasing a different rear seat that afforded a more comfortable ride for my girlfriend. JB immediately took care of it and away we went happy and feeling sassy. I can't thank Warren, JB, Matt, and Kevin at Avalanche enough. I wouldn't drop five figures on any purchase without a lot of research and communication. After speaking with Craig first, as he has experience in both Harley sales and service, we went to Avalanche to buy a new Road King and found each and every person there to be just as knowledgeable, and frankly as cool as Craig. Drew and the sales staff knew their stuff and were straight up, Joe in parts is a wealth of information, Dwight and Sid in service bent over backwards to answer questions and Zach in operations made sure that everything was to our satisfaction. Having run a business before, I can say that even with the best people and planning, some things just go wrong, though. When we had problems with the paperwork, parts exchange off our trade-ins, and a few other details, they were all over it and followed up each time to make sure we were happy and the problems were resolved. You can't ask for more than that. We took the Harley national service plan, but have been treated like VIP's in all our dealings at Avalanche. There aren't too many folks I would give this high a rating to these days, but I have no reservations about giving it to Avalanche Harley. These are good folks that Harley can be proud to have representing an American tradition. read more

Do not go here! They will sell you a bike and then you can forget about anything else. The review from John B. is exactly my experience. This service department sucks! False promises, lies, and delays. My problem was I started having engine issue on a trip. Down in Texas I stopped in to a dealer and they said the whole motor was shot (at 25k!), needed replaced. That was June 11, 2015. I called here since I bought it here and they said to get it to them and they would "take care of me". Little did I know what the guys in TX could do in 10 days these jerks need pretty much the whole summer to do. Well, I did my part and got the bike to these guys on June 18, 2015. No calls from them for two weeks and decide to call them for an update. Well, turns out they did NOTHING with it for two weeks. Didn't even start tearing it down. They will not call you, they will not update you, and it is up to you to call, sit on hold for 10-20 minutes every time and try to figure out what the hell is going on (and sift through all the bs) and put the pressure on. I have been told it would be "ready" several times and so far, it is not. Just more lies. It is now July 28. They have had the bike for just about 6 weeks and it is still not done. I first want to thank Sandy, Guy and Matt Everton! These guys went above and beyond when getting me on my bike,they stayed late to make sure everything went through. Guy even got the price dropped so I could get the financing for the bike of my dreams! And while we were waiting on the bank to get their stuff together I received at least 1 phone call a day from each of them checking on me. I have bad credit and had gone to another dealership closer to my house and was denied a loan, the salesman actually said that was the quickest no he had ever seen then walked away. The guys at Avalanche were able to get me financing and a payment I could afford. Matt in finance is the man he was able to get all the paperwork done and pushed through so I could be riding in just a few days! Unfortunately for them and all their hard work they are stuck with me for life. I have no problem passing some of the other Harley dealerships and going across town to give them my buisness. All the employees treated me more like family than just another customer and that means a lot to me and my family.
