The service guy I worked with truly defines customer service. When I say this guy went above and beyond I mean like getting a finger in the brown eye while getting a little blow on the ole flesh trumpet above and beyond. Truly outstanding customer service. Once my bike was done he came out and looked at an issue I was having with my signal brackets and immediately noticed I didn't have the right brackets after attempting to screw them in. He went out of his way to ensure I got the parts and ordered them. All the while being super nice. I wish to God I could remember his name because I want to ensure he gets props for being as awesome as he was. I'll definitely continue coming back here. I used to be a big Avalanche Harley-Davidson fan. In fact, I have purchased three bikes there and I always buy the service plan and VIP service. I just had two of my bikes serviced in the last three weeks and honestly, I don't think they touched either one of them. The 2017 Heritage Classic went in for the 1000 mile service. Part of that service was to adjust the clutch because reaching neutral was nearly impossible when the bike was warm. I got it back and it's exactly the same. The 2014 VROD Muscle went in (there for a week) for a complete detail and radiator flush. It has the exact same water spots on the chrome as it did when they picked it up from me. You know how you can tell if your bike was serviced or not, when it comes back fixed and shiny like new? I just have that really strong gut feeling corners were cut and service was not performed in a complete and through manner. When I tried to purchase my 4th bike (CVO Pro Street Breakout) I was arguing over nickles and dimes (thousands of them) to death and they tried to get a ridiculous amount for the bike. Sun sold it to me for MSRP with no hassle whatsoever. Something has happened to this dealership and it's all negative. I'm done with Avalanche until they figure out that all customers are important not to mention repeat customers. If you want a great experience, visit Sun Harley-Davidson and give these guys a miss. In reading ALL the negative reviews I noticed that Avalanche ONLY responds to the positive ones. These guys have like 5 dealerships and the most unhappy customers I have ever heard from. I got bait and switched on a "blow out" price on a used bike. Went on a test ride, told them I wasn't going to need financing. By the time I got back they brought paperwork over showing the price as $1000 more than the internet price. The pulled up the site and sure enough, during my test ride, they raised the price by $1000. Either this was a bait bike to get someone in the door or they weren't interested in selling at the original price if no financing was going to be involved. Absolutely the **WORST** H-D dealership I've ever experienced. Was in there last weekend, asked the price of a CVO, Ultra, the salesman said in the 60's. I asked him what the MSRP was, got I dunno. The price from HD is $43,949.00. Best advice I could offer is go up there to figure what color/model you'd like and than go over and see Reed@SUN H-D. Worst experience ever. It started off okay. I got pre-approved and sent them all the info they requested. I went to look at the different bikes they had and was told the banks are having issues and they would call me in 3 days. Little did they know I had cash in hand to purchase the Motorcycle I picked out, but I like to see how a company treats me (a younger person) before I give them my money. I never head from them and tried to call them back multiple times. I went to another company and bought my Motorcycle that week because the other company was willing to follow up and actually wanted a sale. I would steer clear from this place if you actually want to be treated like a human. read more

I went in after talking with a salesman a few times over about a month or so, interested in a used bike they had in inventory. Finally ready to pull the trigger. After looking at the bike and giving them the information on my trade-in I was ready to talk seriously. Their numbers guy approached me with handwritten numbers on a sheet and informed me they would offer a ridiculous, insulting amount for my trade, far below blue book trade-in value, and about 1/7th of what I could get for selling it on my own. Then was absurdly high on the price for the used model (I'd seen two years newer going for about $3k less than what they initially wanted). Okay, we're negotiating, I'll make an offer way below what I'm willing to pay and hope he meets me somewhere closer, and maybe they'll offer a little more on the trade. He takes the numbers back to his boss. Then proceeds to make we wait for over 90min! The original salesman I dealt with checks on me and asks me to be patient. He finally comes back with updated numbers and only came down about $900 on the selling price and feeds me a line about how he has "money tied up in it and can't go lower." At this point I've wasted the majority of my afternoon and nothing fruitful has resulted from our negotiations. As I'm leaving empty handed, not taking a used unit off the lot that's been there for at least 3 months, the guy has the nerve to be condescending to me. I was fully expecting to be loyal to this dealership, as I've been there for service before and had got experiences. After waiting for several hours, being extremely low-balled on my trade, and no wiggle room on their price whatsoever, plus the overall attitude of their employee, I'm done going here. They've lost a customer for life. read more

My buddy and I were on a 3200 mile bike trip when his developed a mechanical problem. After being rudely dismissed at the dealership in Grand Junction, we limped to Boulder. Avalanche HD was VERY busy but the service manager (Tony I think) went out of his way to make sure we got taken care of and 4 hours later we were back on the road. Everyone there was very friendly. I just want to start out by saying this tale ends beautifully! Read the entire thing! I have heard both negative and positive things about this dealership from prominent riders. Mixed tales of woe and frustration. I took my riding course here and I had a great experience but my friend did not. That's her story to tell. I've been told not to buy from this establishment as well. That being said - I got my motorcycle license in October. I just started riding regularly about two months ago. I was on an older Honda Shadow 600. I fell in love. Easy to ride, I felt safe. SUPER LIGHT! So, I started looking at newer Shadows because I was ready to upgrade to a bigger engine. I wanted a little more power and I didn't want to spend a ton of money. First bike, don't want to be too sad if/when I lay it down. I got a flyer in my mailbox from Avalanche stating they were having this BLOWOUT! sale. I popped open my laptop and took a look at my options. I went through the blowout bikes and there she was. A 2018 Honda Shadow Phantom with 123 miles on it. Matte black and sexy as hell. I compared the asking price to others online and it was under what the going rate was, anywhere I looked. So, I applied for the preapproval (I knew I'd make it, credit score over 750...duh) and I sent in a note stating "I want to test ride this bike, I am so excited!". No one responded. I decided to call. The conversation I had left me feeling broken and like this place's reputation was exactly what everyone was telling me. I was told that I couldn't test ride it and that they weren't selling that bike at this time. Imagine my confusion when hearing this as it's being blatantly advertised on their website. SO FRUSTRATING! They were willing to pass on a sale in order to sell me a Harley. She even asked me "have you ever thought about a harley?". Yes ma'am, I have and I am not ready for that yet. You'd think that if I gave them my business and it was a smooth transaction, I'd come back for the next step up. I work in sales, I know how it goes... Let's go back to my friend who had a shit experience with the riding class. She was like "Let's go there anyway and see what they say!". I love her so much. So, I rode the 600 to the dealership and the first person to help me was Austin B. Austin IMMEDIATELY tried to help and figure out why I had been told what I had been told. He came back and verified that the bike wasn't being sold at this time. So, I asked him to take my name and number and told him to give me a call when the bike was going to actually be for sale. I told him I didn't want a Harley and no one was going to change my mind. I just wasn't ready and I know myself. Why buy something that I'm uncomfortable with to ruin my entire riding experience? Silly, I think. Austin asked if I had seen the bike outside and I hadn't. We walked out there together and there she was, in person. Face to face with what I wanted and couldn't have. Have you ever felt that? ITS AWFUL... As I'm staring the bike down, crying on the inside and cursing the experience, Justin comes out and let's me know that there must've been some sort of miscommunication. We can get the paperwork going and get me on that bike. What a quick change of events that was! I don't go from A - Z like that. There were a few things I wanted to know in between. After I shared the things I needed to know, out comes Nathan C. Nathan has been there from when my friend and I first even showed interest in riding last August. WE LOVE NATHAN SO MUCH! He's ALWAYS been the realest and made us feel like we matter. That's SO important in the sales realm. We chatted for a bit and compared the new Honda to the old Honda. I finally felt ready. Confident in my purchase. We step inside. Nathan kindly passed me back to Austin and confirmed that I was in good hands. Austin put up with our questions and negotiations. He was kind, patient and seemed to think we were funny...also VERY important when making that sale! haha It was late and at that point, we agreed to finish the sale the following day. I ended up reaching out to my credit union in the interim and received an amazing rate and loan term. Justin was quick to send over the Buyer's Order the next day and I was able to ride out of there on the bike I thought I'd never obtain. I have to say, without Nathan, I think we would have walked away and taken our business someplace else. Add Justin and Austin to the mix and we ended up having a super badass experience. OH! I can't forget Tony either! He works on the bikes there and was so helpful. If I had gotten other's names, they'd be praised too. Being a female and new to riding, sometimes this is an intimidating experience. I didn't feel that once. These guys were top notch so, THANK YOU AVALANCHE for redeeming yourself in this process. Worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. These guys tryd to act like it was normal to not price the bike until they know what your income is. They are structured to con you and have 19 yr old kids who know nothing about bikes and admit they don't ride calling themselves "bike fitters" to ensure you don't waste the salespersons time. I have been dealing with Harley for years and am on my forth and I have never had an experience this bad. I took my bike in to Avalanche for 1k service and found out that they had overfilled the crankcase oil. Called the service manager, Brent Krolicki, THREE times on May 28th to remedy the problem. I left voicemail messages on his phone, asking a service writer to leave a note on his desk, which he said he would, and asked the receptionist to Brent call me. As of today, he has not bothered to contact me. Based on quality of the service, and lack of interest on the service manager's part to correct their mistake, I do not have any trust in this dealership's service department. I am now wondering if they even changed the tranny and the primary drive's oil. I am planning to take my bike to another dealership and have them redo the 1K service. I will also ask Avalanche to refund me for that service. I definitely do not recommend Avalanche Harley Davidson in Golden Colorado for any services. FOLLOW UP: After a few texts between us and the service manager, I agreed to give him the chance to redo the 1K mile service, providing that he would personally oversee the service. The service manager greeted me nicely, took my bike and asked me to return in 4 hours. When returned, he assured me that they had redone the entire 1K service, and that he had also replaced the spark plugs per my request. A very nice gesture! Assuming that the work was actually done, I am happy with this issue, however, I do not plan to go back to Avalanche Harley again. The main reason is that, after sending the General Manager, Harry S, two emails and leaving a voicemail explaining the problem in details, he never bothered to call me back! It is puzzling that how anyone with such a poor customer service attitude could be the general manager. read more

My issues are not with the sales team, I feel I got a fair deal when I purchased my new 2021 CVO. My issues,are with the poor costumer service. I have now purchase 3 bikes from Avalanch/Freedom Harley and every time swear I won't do it again. Slow learner. This will be the last time!! So, on Friday at 430 PM I pay cash for a 2021 CVO. Great sales team and I was impressed with our conversation about, "if you ever have an issue, we will take good care of you". The following day, 100 miles into a ride, I lose all throttle and am stranded on the side of the road. So, I call Avalanche Harley. First 3 calls I get a voice mail. My next 4 calls I get a person and she transfers me to a full mailbox. The next 3 times I get the same person and ask "Please do not transfer me to that full mailbox. She transfers me to the full mailbox. On my final call, I touch 1 instead of zero and get another person. Finally some help. She tells me we are busy and she will call back in 30 minutes. I am stranded!!! Long story short, we made a single call to Mile High Harley and got a mechanic on the first try. Unfortunately he couldn't do much for me. Finally, no idea why we got it running and was able to coast down to Avalanche Harley. At this point, I am just a little upset... bike issues are what they are but the service is inexcusable. We get it in, multiple error codes, but they are working on it. I decide to go talk about this with General Manager. I feel I wrote him a $45,000 check the day before, I have to be worth a conversation and I am not an unreasonable angry costumer. My wife was happy to see me holding it together. That man, would not come out of his office to talk to me. All we got was we need to keep the bike, not sure what is wrong, and an Uber ride home. Today, I am out of $45,000, I have no bike, I don't know when I will have a bike, and am extremely upset that the GM wont discuss my issues with me. Trust me when I say this is the short version of the story. I do not recommend that anyone step foot on their property. They are all about the sale and not the costume. When I get my bike, if I get it back, Mile High Harley, Parker, has all my business.. 1 star is being generous and I can't wait to fill out the review that goes to HD. read more

I wish we could do no stars for this dealership. I have been riding Harley's all my life, never would I think that a dealer for Harley would try to rip off a young man! My grandson just bought a new fat bob, they told him his interest rate would be around 6%. And they would give him free tire's for life, if he bought this bike. At closed of the sale, they charged him 19.99%, and if he wanted the free tire's for life, he would need to join the vip maintenance plan for $2,500.!? Please be aware of dealer's like avalanche hd. They shame the Harley community, as well as give ammunition to anti Harley people in general. I am very avid Harley for 50 years, but I can see why Honda, etc. has been gaining ground lately! I usually find a HD store wherever I travel and purchase a t-shirt with a picture on the back of the area. Visiting Denver for the week and drove out of the way to this store. As soon as I walked in the store, I should have known I was wasting my time. The girl at the front desk just stared at me - didn't say hi, welcome, no acknowledgment. I went straight to the t-shirt section, didn't see anything and wandered around. Had a sales clerk following me around and eye balling me the entire time. But as soon as I turned around to ask her for help she was "busy" and ignored me. I like t-shirts with a picture on the back instead of just the name of the store. I asked another clerk for help and she just pointed and said all the tshirts are there. 3 towers and none of them had my size. The clerk that was following me around started hanging at the tower so I asked her what tshirt backs she had and all she said was pull out the shirt and look. There was one shirt another customer found with a nice pictured back. I asked the eyeballer if there were more and she said no. But at the same time the other clerk said she could go look in the back. When I said ok, she said oh they were out and the new ones are in the back but they can't bring them out just yet. The one the customer had just happened to sneak out of the back storage. Extremely rude service. I didn't buy anything and just walked out. read more

I bought my 3rd Harley from Avalanche recently and had a great experience each time. 2018 FLTRU Road Glide Ultra. I love it! My fit specialist, Marc Bilker, has been great with helping me settle on a model. I test rode quite a few bikes (7) with Sean and never felt pressured into one thing or another. All my questions were answered and I felt like my choice was based on good information. Marc is a great guy and I highly recommend him. Marc and Craig in sales management worked through several scenarios to put together a deal that would work for me. Dan in finance was just as helpful in giving advice on my loan. The GM, Harry, will go out of his way to make a customer happy. I feel he treats people right and genuinely wants to get you on the bike you want. I had parts switched off my old bike and the technicians and Nick Quinn, the manager, stayed late to make sure I was satisfied. I have had good experience with the service department. I would recommend them. Nick is a good guy and Chris in service is also very helpful. Buy yourself a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and buy it from Avalanche, you will be happy you did! read more
