I removed the rear wheel from my bike and took it in to take advantage of the advertised $10 tire mount special. Their service writer proceeded to tell me they would not honor the special because I took the wheel off myself. It seemed as if he actually enjoyed telling me they would charge me over $50 instead. No checking with a manager or supervisor to work out a compromise. No review of my service history or leeway given due my previous loyalty. Just rub my nose in it- the fact that I was being financially penalized for wrenching on my bike myself. By the way, their advertising DID NOT include any disclaimer about a penalty for removing the wheel, nor did it say it would tied to any other bike service. Clearly, their only reason for running a "special" was to bait people into more service. Straight up greed and very short sighted. I took my business elsewhere and made my dissatisfaction known through email to three separate managers. Not one person bothered to even respond! Horrible experience. Horrible service department. Will never ever go here again. This was our first time going to avalanche Harley. We have bought our Harley's from sun Harley or from high country in the past. We thought we would try this one out, since we knew what a big inventory they had. The staff is the absolute worst, however Phil the salesman is excellent and did a great job, very kind and friendly. However the rest of the staff is awful. Took over an hour and half to look at our current bike to see what is was worth, the staff doesn't seem to know what they are doing and it's totally un professional. I purchased the extended warranty and VIP service. I'm a little concerned based on the all of the negative reviews but I'm hoping that they have remedied the situation. Went in to scope out a first bike to buy. Was introduced to a couple of employees from the service department to the sales guys. Was primarily taken care of by Todd Strong, who was very informative about the different bikes. He also guided me on a test drive. There was little pressure to buy, and was more interested in getting me on the right bike, rather than making a sale -- (which, being in sales myself, I find to be the best way to sell to people anyway). As I read through the previous reviews, I understand many others have had a less than favorable experience with different aspects of Avalanche Harley-Davidson (AHD). Our experience was different than theirs and I think it was because of "Fit Specialist" (Salesman) BRENT FOWLER. From the moment we first stepped into AHD, Brent was welcoming, kind, funny, and his approach was "no pressure." We were there to find a bike that my wife and I could share, but mostly a bike for my wife. We went in several times and went on numerous test rides, and at the end of every ride, Brent was only truly concerned with how much we enjoyed ourselves, not whether we were ready to buy. Over the next few weeks until we finally found the right bike, Brent kept in touch with us, but it didn't feel like a high-pressure salesman, it felt more like friend giving and sharing information to help us make the best, most informed decision possible. Once we bought my wife's bike, Brent continued to keep in touch with us. He NEVER made us feel like, "he got his commission and now we weren't important anymore," and in fact, it was just the opposite feeling. Brent kept in touch with us, he invited us to each "Bike Night," "Bike Wash Saturday," and "Biketoberfest." He even helped my wife sign-up for a "Ladies Garage Night" to teach her certain things to be able to feel more comfortable and ride safer. Brent really is most concerned with the customer being happy, safe, and maximizing their riding experience for years to come. Brent was interested in helping us make the best decision for us. We had such a good experience with Brent, 3 weeks later, I bought a bike for me. We made sure Brent was again our salesman. Lisa Valdez is the motor clothes manager down there, and any time I've had an issue she's made sure I'm taken care of. She went out of her way to make sure that I could use a coupon - I recieved it in the mail after it had already expired and she made sure that she could honor it. Another time I bought a helmet and when I opened up the box at home I noticed that the strap was damaged. They have a very struck no returns policy on helmets, but she got me a gift card to replace the damaged helmet. read more

Just when I thought things could not get any worse!!!! Out of every Harley- Davidson dealership I have ever been in, this is the absolute worst! Sure, it looks great put you can paint a turd gold and it is still a turd!!! I purchased a new bike from this dealership when it was at it's previous location. Not the greatest experience then but certainly not the worst either. They were the only dealership in a couple of hundred miles that had the bike I wanted. I can live with the experience since I wanted the bike. That was the last time anything was even remotely a good experience. At the time I purchased the bike, I also purchased the VIP service contract. I am 100% certain that this dealership has no idea what VIP stands for. When I called and made my appointment for 1000 mile service they asked if I was a VIP to which I responded in the affirmative. Upon arrival for the service appointment, I was asked again if I was a VIP and, again, I responded in the affirmative. He asked if I could leave it and pick it up the next day and I said no as it was the only vehicle I had at the time. Service rep says no problem, he'd tell the guys I was a VIP and was waiting. Fast forward eight and a half hours and I finally get my bike back, not happy, at all and with no explanation from the service rep except that they had overbooked. Again, they have no idea what VIP means! Last week, I made an appointment for the 5,000 mile service. A 10:00 AM appointment was made and I told them I would leave the bike and pick it up the next day at noon. I bet you all are way smarter than Avalanche HD and know what's coming next!!!! You guessed it, the bike was still in back and still torn apart!!!! Needless to say, I am pretty upset about this. Then I get attitude from the service rep about how he already has a bunch of other customers angry with him and he goes so far as to flat out lie to me when I asked to speak with a manager!!! He has the audacity to tell me there is no manager on duty as it is Sunday and they work a skeleton crew. I go up to the receptionist and ask if there is a manager I can speak to and, again, you guys are all smart enough to know what happens next...there is a manager there!!!! This manager immediately calls the service manager and about 15 minutes later the remaining work is being done to my bike so I can get back on the road. After waiting another four and a half hours, my bike is ready to roll and I bet you all think this is where my disappointment with Avalanche HD ends. Spoiler alert, IT ISN'T!!!! I start heading the 50 miles east to my home and get about 15-20 miles sown the road when my check engine and service light come on!!! Mind you, these were not on previously as I had taken the bike in for the 5,000 service, nothing else!!! After I call my wife to let her know the situation, she goes all Kentucky hillbilly and gets the manager who sends a truck out to pick up the bike and take it back to fix whatever it was THEY broke. Now all of you still following along with my story of woe probably think it is coming to an end but you'd be wrong. The Service Manager, Nick Quinn calls me the next morning, Monday, and profusely apologizes for the BS, his words, I had to put up with from HIS service department and wants to do whatever it takes to make things right. He tells me he thinks he knows what happened with my bike and would get right on it and get it taken care of. He told me he would call me back later that same afternoon. I also sent him an email that included what I thought should happen in order to restore my trust and faith in his Service Department and with Avalanche HD, as a whole. Well, no phone call on Monday afternoon. No response to my email by Tuesday night. So I sent Mr. Quinn another email which was not nearly as cordial as the first and I have yet to get a response. And, for now, this is the end of my tail of suffering. I have no idea what is going on with my bike since Mr. Quinn is not a man of his word and doubt I will know anything until I go up to pick it up on Saturday. I am sure I will be, once again, completely disappointed by Avalanche HD and their crappy customer service and lack of honesty and respect for customers. The only thing this dealership has done that didn't disappoint me was their ability to constantly disappoint me!!! Do yourself a favor and go to ANY other dealership!!!!! If any other dealership reads this, please let me know as I am looking for some place else to take my business to. read more

I purchased my 2015 iron from them I didn't realize how bad they screwed me until I went in last week to upgrade to a 2018 street glide they wanted 28000 which is well over msrp. Harley's website said 21000. So I looked into my paperwork on my iron they overcharged me 5000. I called the manager and he told me msrp didn't mean anything that the bikes are worth more then msrp so I called every dealership in the state and they told me that they all sold their bikes for MSRP. Do not go to avalanche Harley Davidson they will rob you blind this is the worst Harley dealership in the country if you wanna overpay for a bike and you got the extra money to do so go ahead and go there but if you go anywhere else you'll pay MSRP. Needless to say I went and bought my bike from high country Harley Davidson they treated me right Ipaid MSRP for my bike. read more

Please I get u all mot to buy a bike here. Everyone has bad experiences, I get that but here it is a continual hassle. Don't buy VIP, guaranteed to get in in 3 days. Tried twice big negative excuses both times. Bike has 5000 miles had some pipe issues, warrantied mind u. 2.5 weeks later get the call oh it's been done for some time. I called other number, my wife's number, that was a lie. Never received call on either line. Used VIP certificates for delivery and detail, asked numerous times if it was completed and they were going to deliver. We didn't do it or they didn't see certificates. Not to mention issues right after we purchased. It seems the sale is the pinnacle of their responsibilities to the customer. Even if you purchase extended warranty and VIP. It is truly pathetic, I wish I would have never purchased there. Everything appears to be a challenge to get done and they are less than honest with people. Horrible customer service and horrible dealership. Do not go there! Just my two cents but in reading other yelp reviews appears to be status quo. read more

I had received 6 t-shirts (4 of which I was returning) and a pair of finger-less riding gloves for Christmas. All the t-shirts had Avalanche Harley-Davidson printed on the back. The gloves were too big, and a couple of the shirts were the wrong size and I really didn't need that many t-shirts. When I first walked in, I was approached by a young man who asked if he could help. I explained to him I wanted to exchange the shirts and gloves, so he told me of the great deals on the motorcycles. I again said I am not interested in buying a motorcycle, just exchanging the shirts. He walked me back to the counter where to refunds/exchanges are. But before he left, he again asked about what model I would be interested in. I told him my Harley has been paid off for a few years and I am not in a hurry to buy another one (however I am considering buying a Harley Davidson Trike in the spring). I was then helped by a very courteous young lady who looked at the shirts and gloves and told me only two (2) of the shirts I could get store credit on and the other items she could do nothing with. I understand because I did not have a receipt, I could only have store credit, but I explained of those items, the gloves and one shirt did not fit, and I only wanted to exchange them for the proper size. She said she had to ask her manager about that. She returned in a short time and said I could exchange all the items or used store credit. I then began shopping to see what I would like. After 10 minutes of shopping the young lady told me I had $120.88 in store credit. I continued shopping for about another 25 minutes and was looking at a leather jacket, knowing I would have to add about $300 to purchase it. As I was trying it on, again the young lady came up to me and asked the name of who brought me the gifts, so she could "look up" a receipt. I related that the person most likely paid in cash as that was their way. A few minutes later, she returned to say she could not find a receipt. She also informed me that the manager now told her I could not refund or exchange anything without a receipt. I clarified that this included the shirts she was going to refund earlier. I asked why did this change, and she said because I didn't have a receipt, they did not know how I got them. I interpreted this to mean I was accused to shoplifting the items. I will never patronize this dealership again. read more

My husband and I purchased a bike from there this weekend. Our sales guy, Justin, seemed to care less about us. Waking off and standing in a circle of work guys, leaving us sitting inside for 35 minutes wondering what what going on, telling us one thing, then telling us another. Ugh. We had to ask somebody else why we were waiting around so long. Got there around 3:30pm...left around 945!!! Horrible. For wanting to purchase something so expensive, we were really made to feel like nothing. Not to mention, these guys add $899 for a set up fee and $599 for a document fee, where Sun Harley charges $180. I could go on and on about how our experience was less than, because it was, but Sandy, Eric, Brent C and the Justin in finance were good. Sandy and Eric being exceptional! Never again though...not even for a nut. We won't even entertain the idea of purchasing anything from here or every referring any friends. read more

Great experience when purchasing the bike. Not so much when it comes to receiving your tax and registration when you purchase from out of state. I totally get having to pay the sales tax it just bites when you have to wait till the temp tag expires to hear how much it's going to set you back. I purchased the bike in early October and this date 3 days after my paper tag expired is when I am finding out. The only effort they make on contacting you is none. I had to reach out several times and leave several messages. Don't expect a call back you have to keep following up. Poor for customer service. I won't recommend nor will I be back for my next bike purchase. Horrible lesson learned. read more

I love this dealership but.......I ordered a new horn cover on the 17th of Aril. I called four days ago when I hadn't received a call letting me know it had come in. The man said it was not in yet and that they would call when it arrived. I wuld be there at the next Bike Night and would check in with them at that time. May 2nd came and we went to the Bike Night and I asked if it had showed up and the answer was still no. He said the part was ordered on the 30th of may so it would take about a week to come in. im not sure who or where the ball was dropped but it is a little annoying to wait this long for a simple horn cover. Took my bike in to be Dyno tuned after putting on pipes and an air cleaner. When I got it back the clutch cable connection to the tranny was mysteriously leaking and all of the rear spokes were loose. I suppose it could have been a coincidence. Paid them $300 to fix the clutch cable and when I got it back this time, the clutch was way out of adjustment and had to adjust it myself. My biggest complaint is that every time I drop my bike off or pick it up from service it takes roughly 1/2 hour to get taken care of. I stand around while 3-4 people are behind the counter not helping anyone. And then I never get a call to say the bike is done. I have to call in and ask about it. Not impressed at all. Especially with the prices they charge to get it done "right" by a certified dealer. I'm done going there. read more

I went in to get my 2013 dyna fat bob for its 1000 mile service shortly after getting my bike back and 300.00 later I find out that I'm having trouble with my brakes and they said they inspect the whole bike what a load of crap. I just bought my first Harley from this place, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire sales process. I got rid of my last motorcycle over 4 years ago, and I have been looking for her replacement since then. I knew that the next bike I had to have would have to be special, and I would have to enter the feared sales gauntlet. I googled around for a few weeks and found the Sportster 48 I wanted, at the price I wanted, just not the color. I first spoke with Carly over the phone, and she put my wife and I in contact with Adam, the skinny one with the beard. He showed us the bike, and also new ones just in case we were interested. I wanted to sit down and talk numbers with him, and of course the finance guy, Donny. They spoke to both my wife and I, not just me, as most salesmen do. They understood what I meant when I said, "I wear the pants, but my wife picks them out." They involved her in the process as much as I was. Then there's the follow up. Donny, Adam, and Newt had called to follow up with me and my wife. Although I never had a chance to call back, I definitely appreciate the fact they took time out of their busy day to call us. I always thought an Asian guy riding a Harley would be awkward, but because of this dealership, I'm about ready to start a movement! My dad threw his leg over an 883 and the seed has been planted.
