RUDE isn't against the law, allegedly. But this management company rep is the standard bearer for rude. I went to a meeting (the only homeowner present) "you have three minutes", said the management company rep. The board would not respond to me when I asked a question. Evidently, the management rep told them not to respond to a homeowner. When I asked why a rule was't being enforced and read directly from her email that says: "....not being enforced". She said: "exactly what it means". I said I didn't understand, she said: "....you have 1.5 minutes". 25 years at this community. They are not enforcing the rules. My only option is to request a mediation so I can have longer than three minutes. I went to the meeting for a resolution and got rude responses and no resolution.....AND THE BOARD MEMBERS JUST SAT THERE. How embarrassing for you! If the HOA is reading this YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES FOR LETTING THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY BULLY YOU. I'VE BEEN YOUR NEIGHBOR (some of you) FOR 25 YEARS AND I CARE ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY NOT TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT. SHAME ON YOU. 3 OF THE BOARD MEMBERS ARE ON THE BOARD BY DEFAULT because nobody wants to run for the board. Trash cans visible, garage doors open, dogs running loose! I ran out of time asking why they are allowing our beautiful community to look like all the others in California. Why go to a meeting if not to get something resolved? Mediation is the only remedy which is really too bad when they could have apologized and said we understand and will do everything we can to resolve these issues. Being KIND is a better choice. Being a bully is pathetic and very unprofessional. They don't want homeowners at the meetings, clearly. We don't work for you, Avalon. You work for us. the 2nd coming of Soviet bloc style management. petty bs violation notices for anything and everything, with no historical knowledge of our community. our roof was damaged and in emergency, we had to lay a tarp until roof work could be done. 1wk. and in back of house and not seen. violation. water damage of interior is being repaired now. Avalon claims I need permission to repair the interior. We aren't changing exterior of home and don't need permission from anyone to repair the interior. a small roofing debris trailer was in driveway for 2days While roofing was being done. We got a violation notice. I put up a 12x12" welcome home sign in son's window for 2 days. We got a violation notice and told to clean window. The sign was on paper. Window was clean already. Avalon ignores the vibe and comfort of our community that we've worked on/out issues over last 30yrs. Avalon is a modern day Soviet bloc. read more

Just want to give a big shout out to Daniel Fregoso of Avalon. We had a giant death bloom on an agave plant just outside our fence and we were concerned it would fall and damage the fence and gazebo in our yard. I reached out to Daniel and was so impressed with his quick response and follow up. His team skillfully removed the bloom, which was over 25 feet, and removed the dead plant with care. This is the worst HOA! Where do I begin? I have lived in my home for over 13 years. Working with Avalon management is a complete nightmare. I pay my dues and have never asked for anything until recently. We have a HUGE tree that was planted in our front yard by the HOA. The tree has grown so big that it is touching our roof, allowing rodents to have access to our roof. The tree drops tons of seeds and leaves on our roof and solar panels and clogs all of our gutters. I have had three people look at our roof, and they all said the tree needs to be cut out or cut back. I have been asking the HOA to cut the tree back for over 6 months. I have sent multiple pictures, emails and an explanations. My email got passed around to multiple people, and and I was told that they would have the tree cut back when they did the neighborhood tree trimming . I waited and waited. The day came. The people were here to cut the trees, and I asked if they were cutting the tree in our yard and they said they had no orders to do that. I reached out to the HOA again, and was basically blown off then transferred to a manager who told me they were in touch with an arborist. Again I waited and waited. They finally got back to me and told me that the arborist said that the tree would be lopsided, and it would damage the tree . I said what about the damage to our roof, solar panels, panels, and gutters? They said what damage has been done? What damage needs to be done? The tree is touching our roof and even if it wasn't it is dropping leaves and seeds onto our roof. Our rain gutters are completely clogged and the tree needs to be trimmed back. The absolutely refused . Many people in our community cannot stand this management company ! They are absolutely terrible and this is not how management companies work. I have family and friends that work with other management companies and they take care of things immediately. I am so disappointed in Avalon Management !! They are the WORST!!! read more
