After doing my research we decided to go with Good Life and I am so glad we did they made the process very easy. Malissa Martinez was my onboarding point of contact and I have to say she was very attentive, responsive and professional. She answered all my questions and kept me informed the next steps in the process. Emails came in daily with the updates that had been completed at my home in order to be put on the market. After that my property managment team consisted of Andrei Lechert- Kelly, Gerald Medalla and CJ Flores. Again, more professionalism with this team. Once the property was ready and we agreed on the rental price my home was listed on a Wednesday and by that weekend, Saturday, we have the home rented. It's been 5 months and I have no complaints. They have really taken care of everything and I haven't had to worry about a thing since. Highly recommend Good Life. 10 outta 10.

I have been extremely disappointed with Good Life Property Management's handling of maintenance…read moreissues since my lease began on June 28. Before my lease even started, a repair was identified as necessary for the washing machine due to mold in the door boot/seal. Nearly two months later, I have still never had use of the washer. During that time, I have accommodated FOUR separate repair appointments, rearranging my schedule and making myself available for each service window. None resulted in a completed repair. At the fourth appointment on August 21, I was finally told that maintenance cannot perform this type of repair and that a qualified appliance technician is required. After nearly two months and four unsuccessful appointments, it was incredibly frustrating to learn that the repair apparently had not been directed to the appropriate type of technician in the first place. Unfortunately, I am now dealing with a second major appliance issue. My refrigerator has not been functioning properly for six days. I reported it promptly and made myself available for another repair appointment on August 21. That appointment also ended without a repair. I am now heading into the weekend without a functioning refrigerator, without the ability to safely store refrigerated food, and without a confirmed repair date or plan. Losing refrigeration is significantly more than a minor inconvenience. What has been most frustrating is not simply that appliances have needed repair--things break. It is the repeated unsuccessful appointments, prolonged delays, lack of effective coordination, and absence of concrete plans for resolution. I have consistently reported problems promptly, communicated with management, provided access, and accommodated every requested service appointment. I have tried to be patient and reasonable, but after nearly two months without ever having use of the provided washing machine, four unsuccessful washer appointments, and now six days without refrigeration following another unsuccessful service visit, I no longer feel that these issues are being handled within a reasonable timeframe. Based on my experience, I also would not recommend Good Life Property Management to a property owner looking for a management company. My concerns extend beyond the inconvenience to me as a tenant. A repair identified before my tenancy began has remained unresolved for nearly two months despite four service visits, and a refrigerator problem has now gone six days without resolution. From an owner's perspective, I would expect a property management company to respond promptly to maintenance needs, coordinate the appropriate professionals, and ensure that necessary repairs to the property are actually completed. I hope Good Life Property Management improves its maintenance coordination and responsiveness. Tenants should not have to repeatedly rearrange their schedules for appointments that do not result in repairs, and property owners should be able to expect that reported maintenance needs are handled efficiently and brought to resolution.

We would call, leave voicemails, and frequently have to call multiple times before getting a response. When we had important maintenance issues--such as the building not having hot water--we were told to submit a maintenance request. However, even after doing exactly that, we often had to submit requests multiple times just to get someone to address the issue. There was also a constant lack of communication regarding scheduled appointments and maintenance. Things would be scheduled, we would have to follow up ourselves, and then we'd find out the appointment had been rescheduled without anyone notifying us. We also went through multiple different "property managers" during our tenancy. There seemed to be constant turnover, and the level of communication and follow-through never improved. We had a serious termite issue inside our apartment, and initially it felt like management was trying to dismiss/write off the problem rather than actually address it. There was also an issue with our smoke detectors. Someone came out for routine inspection and told us that some needed to be replaced. They left, and when we followed up about when the replacements would happen, we were told we'd be notified. They were never replaced. Months later, another smoke-detector inspection was done and nothing was mentioned about the replacements that had supposedly been needed. When we gave our 30-day notice, management wanted to begin showing the apartment. We were told we would receive the required notice before showings, but there were multiple occasions where we received around 30 minutes' notice instead. We shouldn't have had to repeatedly deal with unexpected showings after specifically being told we would receive advance notice. Even our final move-out walkthrough was frustrating. The employee was already 10 minutes late, then told us she would be another 20 minutes late, and ultimately arrived approximately 40 minutes late to the appointment. And now, after moving out, we're dealing with security deposit deduction reasons which are extremely vague , including a $250 cleaning charge. We were specifically told the apartment needed to be left "move-in ready," and we left the apartment spotless. The cleaning invoice provided simply says "Cleaning of entire house -- $250," without explaining what supposedly required $250 worth of cleaning. The biggest issue throughout our entire tenancy wasn't that everything went wrong--it's that we constantly had to chase management to get anything done or get basic communication. Maintenance requests, appointments, property showings, safety issues, and even the move-out process repeatedly required us to follow up ourselves.

Located right off Nobel Drive in the UTC / La Jolla area, The Aventine Office Building consists of an eleven-story office tower, an adjacent six-story office building, and a three-level underground parking garage. I am currently a patient in a clinical research study there & I have to admit it is a nice building. I am not crazy about the parking garage that is confusing and hard to get your parking ticket validated for. There is very little public parking on the streets outside the Aventine Office Building. You take the parking garage elevator up to the Lobby and then have to switch to another elevator to get to the upper office buildings. Your first time there will have you thoroughly perplexed. A few parking spaces are reserved in the very front street level entrance to the building but most days they are quickly filled up. (Deducted 1 YELP STAR for problematic parking.) The Aventine Office Building is right next to the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Sporting Club at Aventine. It is certified LEED Existing Building Platinum and has an Energy Star rating of 100. So environmentally, this place is top notch. The views from most of the offices are awesome--even the ones that overlook the buzzing traffic of nearby Interstate 5, I have no doubt that the rents paid by tenants at this very fancy office building are through the roof. There are a variety of businesses here but most do seem to be high tech medical offices. Most of the office doors have lock contraptions on them that require a special code to unlock. There is also a lobby attendant on the ground floor who keeps an eye on things in the building. It does seem to be very secure and safe to be a tenant, client, visitor or deliveryman at the Aventine Office Building.

There is plenty of street parking available, but due to the number of apartments in the area, finding an open space may require a bit of patience and a nice little walk. Instead, hit up the reasonably priced valet and enter just steps away from your favorite restaurant. Getting to the Aventine can be a bit tricky if you are not familiar with the area. Coming from most directions in San Diego, it is easiest to exit from the 5 and make your way straight onto University versus winding through the La Jolla business district. This is certainly one of my favorite date and celebration spots in San Diego. Come hungry. Leave happy.

This company was hard to communicate on a good day and once things went sideways they were a nightmare to deal with. The "handyman" they used to perform repairs on my house was so bad once I terminated my service with San Diego Premier Property Management, I had to get a home inspection to determine everything that was wrong. From doing a lousy paint job, to using air piping on the garage water lines causing corrosion very quickly, to using PVC piping not rated for high pressure on the outlet of my pool pump there isn't much positive to say. I will say SDPPM is loyal to their handyman though, and stood behind him once I found out and showed them the facts. The most egregious issue was the replacing the water heater not to code, then after my home inspection I instructed them not to go back to the property to fix it, since I wouldn't know if the fix was correct or not and didn't want to have to get a 2nd inspection. SDPPM let the handyman back on site to "fix" what he did wrong anyways, only to not do it correctly a 2nd time. All of this was only discovered once I found the cell number of my tenants and reached out to them regarding some inconsistencies SDPPM was telling me, and then the whole thing started to come undone. All in all, there are lots of property management companies, and if you want to avoid a headache. Do not use San Diego Premier Property Management, and avoid Salvatore. Although this was quite a while ago that this affected me, based off the other reviews it seems like they are still doing the same thing.
