My first regular pedicure was during Mardi Gras season and they did a great job. Today was another winning visit. 45$ will get you the deluxe pedicure with hot towels, extended leg massage, etc. I've been working a lot lately in the studio and my legs begged me for the extra attention. Now it's the Friday before Mother's Day and I expect it'll get pretty crowded later. I was pleasantly greeted and they had me pick my color. I was seated right away. My technician was very sweet and we giggled together when she realized how ticklish the bottom of my feet are. I'll be back if I'm doing business on this side of the river again. Walk ins appear to be preferred. Unusually quiet for Sat p.m. Business establishment was clean/well lighted with lots of natural light. Huge color selections/options: acrylic, gel, dip. Nail techs wore masks. Received gel manicure. She confirmed if I liked the color once applied. I didn't and without hesitation she suggested a solution I liked. Honestly, I am disappointed. I paid for a jelly pedicure and requested a regular manicure with no polish. My pedicurist insisted I sit in a chair where the bowl was dirty. Eventually she cleaned it and put a liner in the bowl. She ran the water and it was far too hot. I told her 4 times it was very hot and I couldn't put my feet in that way. Finally, she listened to what I said and put a little bit of cold water in. The pedicure was...passable. I got less than 5 min of massage which was simultaneous with the scrub step. I chose a no gel option. It cost $55, which was too expensive but I wouldn't have such a complaint had it not been for the manicure. First, I wasn't sat with my friend and all the other customers paying for manicures. She brought a bowl of cold water with no soap and dunked my fingers in. She did some basic light shaping (my nails were already cut the quick) and trimmed the cuticle on one or two nails. A few second of buffing and then she kept insisting that I let her put something on my nails. I told her no polish no polish but she kept saying something and shaking a bottle at me of what looked like nail strengthener. I asked if it was and she just grabbed my hand and put it on. "See look much nicer." I laughed uncomfortably. Meanwhile my friend was taken to the other area to get a proper manicure. When I got my bill she told me 55+25, for a total of 80 for this crap. I was very shocked bc my cuticles were not pushed back and shaped, I didn't even get my hands properly washed, and remember I didn't even get regular polish. I was already having a really bad day and feeling like I was getting ripped off honestly made it worse. I tipped the person $10 still bc I didn't want to embarrass my friend or myself by making a scene. I won't be back and I will be sharing my poor experience with friends. For what it is worth, although it was a very long wait my friend's nails were cute. She was only charged $106 for gel manicure with 2 nail designs and the deluxe pedicure. I don't know why my nail person chose to rip me off. read more

I am a regular gel-mani/ pedicure girl. 2x a month min. I usually frequent my spots on the northshore where I live but when I'm in the city I go with a friend and we try random salons. We both got very hurried treatment. My gel chipped on 2 nails the next day, so did hers! Then today, day 3 the entire top of the nail just peeled right off with all the layers of my natural nail included! The file job was absolutely horrible. Jagged edges on so many nails! They had 2 women working on us, 2 people in Pedi chairs waiting and 3 people getting sat down for a manicure. No one was told that they were up for an hour wait so these 2 women could catch up. Thankfully for us, there were no other customers. I got the best and longest leg and foot massage I could have asked for! Also, the massage chairs were working at full capacity and were kneading some serious knots out of our backs. They had a great selection of polishes. All brand and colors to choose from, they don't skimp on anything around here, which I appreciate tons! Everything was sterile, because they took the tools out of the bag thingy they take from the sterilizer machine...like at the dentist. Fav nail spot right now. Service is consistent. I'm so embarrassed that I'm not sure of the lady's name who does my nails but I'm pretty sure she's the owner. I've been going consistently since the summer and she ALWAYS does a great job. Pedicures are great as well. Spa is clean. There is a good selection of gel colors to choose from. I'm sure the main thing that attracted me to this shop at first was the fact that there is an actual parking lot. Her prices are about average for the area. My nails typically look nice for a least 2, sometimes nearly 3 weeks. Very rarely do I have chips in my gel polish. She's also very patient in shaping my nails. I like an almond shape which I know takes more time to achieve and she never complains or suggests I get something different. I enjoy the easy listening music she is usually playing lol. They stock top quality products and know how to crank out awesome manis and pedis. I've gotten gel polish that is uv-cured as well as regular lacquer and the long-wearing lacquer. In each case my technician got all the steps, in the right order and using proper technique. This along with good attention to detail makes me a repeat customer. I must say I was a little skeptical going in. I kept thinking, oh this is just gonna be another 'nail shop". Are they gonna butcher my feet n nails? It was 1 hour before closing and my hubby and I wanted pedi's. And I wanted a full set. I really thought I'd be rushed along. But to my surprise the Asian ladies were super sweet and did a fantastic job. I think my feet could have used a little more attention, but hey I think everyone feels like that. Lol! They offered a beverage and was clearly patient when I couldn't decide on a color‍. Lol. The staff was friendly but I do not care how big of a rush I'm in or if my regular salon is closed I will never go back for my mani/pedi. They are not clean! They used a dirty hot towel on me during my mani (at first I thought it was just dingy but it left that old dirty towel smell on my hands and arms). I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize until I looked over at my friend who was also getting a pedi that they were not taking their tools from sterile plastic or an autoclave. The tools they used on me went right back in the little plastic drawer after a half ass rinse in the same water they soaked my feet. This was a bad experience and I'm praying I don't get an infection from the open cuts they left after a poor removal of my cuticles on baby toes...OUCH! read more

I used to love going here. They're two blocks away from my house and very nice people. They abruptly switched owners without any word. I went in 2 times and saw 4 people waiting and only two nail techs on and they were already working on people. I waited for a few minutes and then realized it was just the two of them and left. The last time I went in there was no one waiting but the same two techs were there and they were finishing up. It took them 45 minutes to finish up what they were doing. Very slow paced. I sat down and she started to take off my gel polish. It took her 5 minutes per nail to sand just the polish off. I wanted to ask her to stop after the first one because I knew I didn't have that much time to kill but I decided to stick with it. I enjoyed the fact she actually made conversation.. something I rarely find at nail salons in New Orleans. I was there for a total of 2.5 hours for a fill and gel polish. The new owners are very nice but I won't be returning because I can't afford to spend that much time in a nail salon. They need to get more staff, the previous owners had at least 5 people on during busy hours. I wish I could give this place a better review because the people are very nice. However, they are very over priced for the work they do. (they charge you to shape your nail a certain way? Seriously) they are not honest and upfront about extra charges (I was told "I can do that" but never said how much extra it would be) and once I left it became very clear that they used very cheap products.My nail beds started to have air bubble gaps almost the next day and my paint was chipped. I have had my nails done more times than I can count and i know what is normal and what is not.
