Not sure what the hype is. I like that they open late. The tacos were just alright to me. Didn't wow me. I tried to get asada tacos but he told me they ran out, then a lady comes to order asada and she gets it somehow. I thought that was strange... I think I ordered cabeza, Lengua, tripas and don't remember what else. The topping station is self serve. They barely had any more toppings but I think it's cus it was by the end of the night... I do appreciate the fact they had regular diced onions, grilled onions and the onions with the habanero. Three different kinds of onions. The spicy sauce was just OK. They go ahead and hand it back to you open so this way, you can put your sides such as salsa, cilantro, onions, and radishes you then hand it back and they wrap it up for you. this is my second time trying Avalos kitchen taco truck & needless to say it was devoured I love their food & their horchata highly recommended you guys give them a try they are most definitely a 10/10 my new go to ! I tried their quesadilla con pollo on my first trip there & it was fire I had a supreme burrito de asada no tomato & light beans My boyfriend had a supreme burrito de asada con todo 10/10 customer service I asked for them to cut my burrito in half & they did just that no hesitation it took not even 5 mins to get our food i am very happy & will be coming back very soon to try their tacos . The asada tacos were delicious the meat wasn't dry or tough and the tortillas weren't drowned in grease like most taco trucks. They also weren't stingy with the meat which I appreciate. I recommend adding the white onions (not the caramelized ones) I'm not sure what they are coated in but they're slightly spicy and pair really well with the tacos. Hands down one of the best tacos truck in town fr. Their food is BOMB af and made perfectly every time and the workers are exceptionally nice. Music is a bop. Their food selection is amazing. Great portion sizes and I love the way they set their condiments out so you can choose how much you want of everything. We have stopped here a couple times on the way home from Tower District. Great spot on Palm and Shields. We love the Asada Quesadillas and tacos, and the Carnitas Tacos.
