I have been a client of Richelle's for over 4 years. I began get my nails done by her before the Covid Plandemic! Richelle's professionalism is amazing but I found that her overall care and concern for her clients was like nothing I've ever ever experienced before and I've been having my nails done for many many years! When the Plandemic hit and everyone was quarantined, she had the insightful idea to make sure her clients were taken care of. She put a "kit" together so that her clients would be able to take care of their nails until we were able to resume normal contact. She delivered them to our houses, one by one and left them on our doorstep with a heartfelt message and instructions. Her actions showed she values us as clients. Richelle has this vibe about her. It's hard to explain but it's a vibe you just know that she's genuine. The salon is upbeat, comfortable and accommodating for all. The pedicure rooms are cozy and upscale and I have to mention the service is far above others in the area and the pedicures are to die for! My feet have never felt so pampered!! My fingernails are always spot on. It's the "little" things she does that's go above and beyond. He attention to detail, and her accommodating attitude is far beyond the norm and her work is AMAZING! I have seen Richelle the past two times I've gotten a fill and I love her. She's very meticulous about shaping the nails so that they're all the same shape and length which is AWESOME because I'm so picky. She has really pretty bling and sparkles to amp up your nails and I love their polish selection. I see that they have hair stations and also pedicure chairs as well. If I remember correctly, I believe they also do eyebrow tinting and eyelash extensions. One of these days, I'll treat myself to a pedi! Richelle is also very sweet and keeps up a good conversation. I would highly recommend. From what I could see at the other nail station, her mom does beautiful nails as well. It can be a little hard to find at first and looks can be deceiving, but I have enjoyed my experience thus far, so I'll keep coming back :) read more

I went her to get a gel manicure and pedicure, at first I was unsure of the location. It's not your typical nail salon, but the girl there does Excellent work. Truly I'm pretty picky about my nails and I've had some people in Reno do really shotty jobs, but Rochelle did great. I walked in showed them my horrible nails I had gotten done 2 weeks prior and showed the lady the picture of what I wanted them to look like. She was so sweet an made me feel so comfortable she let me know ahead of time that what I wanted she hasn't yet tried on a person so she said we would try things out till they came out how I wanted. This salon is the most unprofessional, rude, unorganized place you will ever come in contact with. DO NOT EVER GO HERE! I have called over 5 times in a 3 month span, leaving voicemails none were ever returned. I finally got a hold of the front desk woman who said I must be lying about having called and that they simply cannot get me in (I have a gift certificate). She also told me that it was a shame I was choosing to take a final instead of taking the one 8am spot that she could offer me, really?! I have never been so angry at the way I was treated! Okay so my friend and I got our hair done and showed a photo to the hair stylist she started doing our hair... well she messed it up pretty bad. We were both upset with our hair... if she knew she couldn't do what we wanted she should have told us and we would have went to someone else... and she won't even refund us? What the hell? I have to go somewhere else to fix my hair that she ruined and pay another $80? Um no? This is bs and we should get our money back we told her she could keep $20 from each of us for her product, her time isn't our problem if she didn't think she could do what we wanted or even get it close then she shouldn't have done our hair... Don't waste your time with this salon! Very unprofessional and even the owner Lisa(or pretends to be an owner) doesn't care about the business. Bought a groupon three months ago and still don't have the appointment for pedi and mani. Richelle never returns her calls and it's impossible to get hold of her and then I finally talk to her she is rude and makes excuse that she has 100 groupons out there that want to get in with her. I found Avanti Salon on groupon for permanent makeup at half price and was very excited! I've always wanted to do it but it was expensive here in my town. I've known from past groupons that you have to wait a while due to all the people getting it. I was okay with that for the service I was getting. Lisa was great! She explained the procedure and we talked about colors for my eyeliner. Black was to dark and I didn't want to look like a biker chick with my fair skin so I went with green. She explained that a new needle was being used and she put on gloves and we began. Yes it was a bit painful at first and she kept asking if I was doing okay, which I appreciated. I have very watery eyes and she took the time to make sure the ink was staying. After it was done, about an hour, she explained the recovery time and care. I heeled and I LOVE my permanent eyeliner. I went back for a touch up and I received the same professionalism from her. I will recommend Avanti Salon to my friends. read more

I thought I would share my experience so more people don't waste their time, energy and money as I have on Lisa Anderson at Avanti. Lisa has been nothing more than a flake. I bought a Groupon to get both eyebrows, along with top and bottom eyeliner tattooed. I had to make an appointment over a month out because she "doesn't like doing tattoos later in the day" because she gets "over it by the afternoon." A few days before my appointment, she called to cancel and reschedule. I agreed. My new appointment day comes around and I get a phone call an hour before my appointment from her. She said "my 2:00pm appointment cancelled, so I was just going to leave." I said "okay? so do I have to reschedule again?" in a confused tone. She said "yes, how does Wednesday work?" I said "that's okay I suppose." I didn't really have another option at this point. Tuesday comes and I receive a voicemail from her cancelling my appointment for Wednesday (THIRD CANCELLED APPOINTMENT.) Her voicemail states "I was in the middle of a tattoo and the needle shot out of the tattoo gun. I have another tattoo gun, but it doesn't work as well as this one so I am going to have to reschedule you again." Firstly, to be THAT unprofessional and tell someone a needle SHOT out of the tattoo gun, which will be used to tattoo your face is a huge red flag! (as if the 3 cancelled appointments weren't enough.) I am giving my honest experience in hopes to defer others from being put through hoops as I was. read more
