I requested a brow lamination with brow shaping. I've had my brows laminated before and this time the result came out very different than any other lamination I've had before. The brow shape was sloppy and had to be corrected by another salon. The employees talked and gossiped with each other throughout the treatment which made the experience uncomfortable. At this point, she can basically read my mind for my brow needs, but, even so, she always ensures I am happy with the shape and length of my eyebrows. When Kathleen is not available (rare, because I book appointments ahead of time), I am never worried, because all of the waxers that I have seen are professional and friendly. Besides the high quality service that Kathleen provides, I love EWC because of the wax passes. Yes, prices have gone up (especially, in the age of inflation the last few years), but it is still worth it for me. I get my eyebrows waxed every 2 weeks, so the unlimited wax pass just makes sense. However, I also like the fact that there are wax passes with limited quantity. And they never expire! Seriously, I purchased a 7 lip wax pass back in 2020 for my wedding and engagement photos, but it is not a service I regularly use. I still have some lip waxes in my account, and I can use them as needed (like for special occasions). This particular EWC always seems busy with men and women bustling in and out for appointments, and the traffic has taken its toll on the lobby furniture. The lobby could use a bit of TLC, but everything is still clean and functional, if a little worn. Overall, I am still in love with EWC! There is not any waiting rooms around these Suites except for a bench at the entrance way. Price- I did my full arms $35 and brows ar $20 not including the 20% off from Yelp. For the Reno area and what felt to be higher end products she used I found it to be a good value. Service- this is a one-woman shop but I found the technician sweet charming and genuine. She seems to have a very strong focus on the best care possible which I can appreciate. I am in my third trimester of pregnancy and had a great experience with Brea. I had expressed that I was I was feeling a bit self-conscious and anxious and Brea helped me feel less so with her calm and professional manner. (Side note, she likes to read so I found talking about books with her to be a great way to distract myself). It sounded like Brea had waxed a number of pregnant ladies already in her waxing career so that was reassuring. I thought she did a phenomenal job. I swear it wasn't as painful as waxing for me in the past had been and I was really happy with the results. I had forgotten my jacket but the company even texted me so I could return and get it. Excellent service all around. I also really liked the studio. It was clean inside and there were a lot of cute signs and things to look at that fit with the bee theme. I do wish they could have decorated the ceiling somehow as that was mainly my view during the service-- perhaps a dangling bee garland would be cute? I will say I wish they had an extra curtain or partition of some sort (what are those called, a Japanese room divider?). You enter through a door and then they pull the curtain closed to cover the door. Maybe they could put one more curtain perpendicular to that one at the foot of the bed just to give a little bit more sense of peace of mind regarding privacy.
