Horrible Experience: Placed an order for a 187$ Spray for a funeral. Placed order 3 days in advance, to be delivered on the 19th between 9:00 and 9:30 to a well known Catholic church in Seattle. At 11:33am, receive a text there was an issue with the order and to go read an e-mail. Service was already started at 11:00 no flowers delivered. At 3:30pm ai received an e-amil and a phone call. 6 hours AFTER the flowers were to be delivered! When speaking to customer service on what happened, was pushed 3 times to just change order and have delivered to the bereaved house. HORRIBLE experience! If I could give zero stars I would. This company is a scam. Flowers were not delivered, and I've called 3 times to get resolution, plus information that conflicts from what I was told before. The "chat" feature on the website is a loop that resolves nothing and asks the same questions over and over. Customer service is overseas. You might get "free delivery" but they add on a $30 "service fee." Worst money I've ever spent. Still trying to resolve. Will take this up with AmEx and resolve that way instead. Poor value. After Ava's Flowers made a huge mistake and didn't deliver my order placed weeks in advance, I experienced the worst customer care I've encountered in years. Facts are, I ordered an arrangement on Sept 8 to deliver on Sept 21 (daisies for my mother-in-law - her favorite flower). At 5pm on Sept 21, they still hadn't delivered, despite the automated system telling me the delivery was indeed scheduled for that day. When I called, the representative told me they were out of daisies, so could not deliver anything on that day. I also had not received any notification/phone call letting me know they were out of daisies. They had weeks to contact me so that I could cancel my order and go with a florist that did have what I needed. But they did not contact me at all. They had already charged the $74+ for the delivery that they couldn't make, and at this point all that could be done was they could send either 2 dozen red roses, a poinsettia plant or an orchid to her the day after her birthday. After spending over 40 minutes on hold with the first representative, she "accidentally" hung up on me, I called back 2 more times and was "transferred" to someone who also hung up me, finally called back a 3rd time, and (1.5 hrs after my initial call) the representative said best they could do was send one of those options on Sept 22, and refund me just $20, or cancel the order all together for a refund. Absolutely absurd. Especially given they say this is a family-owned business of over 30 years, focused on customer care and have a "wide range" of products for delivery. An incredibly frustrating experience. Never again will I give them my business. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I WOULD SOONER GROW MY OWN FLOWERS AND DELIVER THEM MYSELF THAN DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN. I was promised a rose delivery by 3PM. At 4:30 I called to see why they had not arrived. Side note, this isn't the "family owned business" they advertise. You get a random person in a random location every time you call. I was told they will be deliverered by 7PM. This is totally unacceptable as my wife leaves at 4:30 and it was important they be delivered at work. My only option was to have them delivered at home, which for this occasion completely ruined the experience, yet I had no other option. After being on the phone with several operators I felt I was owed a substantial refund for their total lack of professionalism. The bill was over $100 and was offered a $10 credit. This was totally unacceptable. After another 15 minutes and yet another operator I was given 50% off the order. About an hour later I recieved another phone call from yet another operator saying the flowers would be delivered tomorrow. This was totally unacceptable and I cancelled the order. I am still waiting on the refund. This company is a total scam with a small town feel website. When in reality it is run through a bunch of telemarketers using local flower shops as subcontractors. I paid $174 red and white spray for my daughter in-law grandmother who passed away. The arrangement never was delivered as she owns the mortuary. After many attempts and being placed on hold for long time each time to get a delivery confirmation signature of who received the arrangement I got a reply and what they sent me was a signature that no one at the mortuary signs like that. One of our customer service experts will reach out to you shortly to rectify this matter" Haven't heard anything back yet! So nah, leave these scammers alone and run as fast as you can! Order was delayed, then bouquet I selected was substituted with SIX daises. The company refused to give me a refund or replace the sad order with what I purchased. A family member tried to send me flowers and they were never delivered. 5 days later, customer service is still trying to tell me that they were delivered, despite the fact that they were clearly not -- I live in an apartment building that notifies me when any deliveries are made to me and there is no record of them even trying to deliver. Trying to get the sender a refund is also nearly impossible, as the offshore customer service line keeps telling me different stories, hanging up on me, and otherwise making it difficult to achieve anything. I called Ava's Flowers to have 3 arrangements delivered to Forest Lawn Covina Hills for the holidays for 3 separate gravesites (our Mom and Dad plus our Grandmother). Two of them were delivered - our grandmother's never showed up. The two that were delivered were supposed to be "medium" size - what showed up was definitely "small". For all of this hassle, we were charged $177+. Part of the problem is that they used DOOR DASH DELIVERY! Seriously? It's a wonder anything made it to Forest Lawn. I had ordered a 'European Dish Garden' that could be put on a deck and the plants would continue to grow. He said everything was 'gone' but he would offer some alternatives. The only alternatives he had were cut flowers in water in a vase. We talked about my options ( not many) but I finally agreed on 12 Pink Roses in a vase. They were delivered today as planned. My family member called me and showed me a picture of them; they are NOT pink roses. Each rose is 2-3 shades. She said it looks like they were 'colored' some way and the roses are not smooth and fresh. I told her I had a 'funny inkling' about the whole thing. Recently sent an arrangement to a family member that ran $88. When I visited over the holidays I saw the flowers and was shocked by the poor quality of it. A complaint online was returned by a phone call at 05:45 in the morning with an offer to send an apology card to the recipient. Who calls at that time of the morning and who calls to try and leverage another sale of a mediocre, overpriced product? In the end they refunded $10. I placed an order on 8/2 with a delivery date of 8/3. When I check the status on 8/3, it said they had issues with the delivery. No one reached out to me regarding these issues. I called Ava's on 8/4 and the lady told me they attempted to reach out to me on 8/3, this was not true. The flower company they partnered with did not respond to the request and Ava's Flowers did not follow up until after I called. She placed me on hold and then called the person that was receiving the flowers to see if they received the flowers as if I was lying (and thanks for ruining the surprise). If I could, I'd give this company a -0. I ordered flowers for a loved one's memorial service on August 31st at 1:15 PM for same-day delivery.  I was told they would be delivered before 5 PM that day, and I informed them that the service was on September 1st at 11 AM. They said the flowers would be delivered  before 5 PM on August 31st. I didn't  receive a confirmation email, so I went to the website and got the    conformation number. Around 3 PM, when I still had not received the email I called them and they assured me the flowers were still scheduled to be delivered that morning before the service, they were not. The next morning I checked the website and there was no update.  I called Avas around 7 AM and was told the order would be delivered before the service, and that they would call the florist at 8:30 AM to get an ETA. I again reminded them of the service time. A little after 9 AM I called them again and was told the florist didn't answer. The representative said the florist was probably out delivering the flowers. At 10:30 AM, I checked the website and there was no update. Again, they said the florist was not answering and the flowers were out for delivery. I asked for the phone number and name of the florist so I could contact them directly and was told they couldn't give me this info. I ended up attending the service with no flowers.  After the service, I called them again explain what happened and  they acted like they could not hear me. At 7:26 PM on September 1st, I receive a text message that the flowers were delivered. Not sure how they would deliver because     the funeral home closed at 5pm. I called the funeral home  after the service to see if the flowers had been delivered late and was told there was no delivery. I told them to refuse the order if it came in. I checked my cc transactions and the charge was still pending. On September 2nd, I informed them the order was not delivered and that the funeral home confirmed this. I asked them to refund my money, and received the same response as before, which was them saying they could not hear me.  I'm working with the cc company to get my $156 refunded.  Please save yourself the trouble by not ordering from these heartless insensitive scammers.  The internet says they are the number one company-- do not believe it.  Please read the reviews on Yelp and BBB's website instead of the ones on their site because they don't post negative reviews. read more

This organization is a "bait and switch " which is illegal. You order per their website, ie full picture of what you are ordering and paying for. They also try to up sell when you call in, "add a bow, add a more expensive card". They confirm the flowers you are ordering, roses( expensive) and so on. What gets deliveries does not have any roses, all cheap and old flowers. No bow you paid for. SO EMBARRASSING! And the moment is ruined. They credit you 30% of the total bill. I ordered a Christmas tree arrangement for my mother for Christmas. I ordered on Dec 21 and used their same day delivery promotion and my arrangement was not delivered, I received a call late the 21st saying that they were waiting on some of the flowers and the arrangement would be sent out Dec 22. I tracked the arrangement throughout the day and it was never sent out. I called again and I always get their customer service line, each time they said they can't get ahold of the florist/designer and they would call me back. I never received a call back. I have spoken to someone everyday and the issue was never resolved. Seems like nobody is aware of what's going on and the entire service seems extremely unprofessional. It's now Dec 26....Christmas is over and my mom never got the arrangement. After spending over 100$ with this company it's extremely frustrating. The arrangement is no longer needed and now I am sitting on hold with their customer service line trying to get a refund and it still seems like I cannot get the help I need. Do not use. They take no ownership when flowers are not received or delayed by their suppliers throughout the nation. While they do offer a simple I'm sorry, it isn't quite enough when you're counting on them to deliver in a timely manner and spending upwards of $125 dollars. I understand that things happen, but no offer of a percentage taken off, refunded delivery rates, etc. is disheartening. I decided to use this company instead of 1800FLOWERs, FTD.com, proflowers, etc. as it was a smaller company and was trying to be supportive but I'm sad that I did.
