We had purchased a beautiful bouquet of flowers that consisted of yellow and red roses, stargazers, spider mums, in a beautiful royal blue vase. Our friend sent a text thanking us for the flowers with a picture of what she received, which was not even remotely close to what we had purchased. The vase looked like a big jug with cheesy flowers in it. Needless to say we were horrified. This is a garbage company. They third party every order yet they claim to be a local family owned company. They give teaser pricing until check out and they slam their fee on at the very end. I never thought a floral company could be shady. I'm not the kind of person who asks for refunds ever really. But this time...They guaranteed a large delivery on my grandmas 70th birthday, and on that day, they didn't pick up the phone and didn't deliver. I get an email the next day telling me the order is now more expensive because the location closest to my grandma is closed, and shipping is higher cost. So they just CHARGE me, and tell me it will be TWO DAYS LATE...for a birthday. So I called, and had to argue my case on why I deserve a refund for twenty minutes. I ordered two specific bouquets for two addresses a week in advance. I was told the specific containers were available. Not only were they not delivered on the date I requested .....they were now out of the containers I requested. I called and talked to the manager of the company and was told it was too late to cancel and the incorrect ordered bouquets were going to be delivered anyway in an ordinary glass vase. Spent $100 on "large" arrangement. Online example was "small," for $45, picture displayed about a dozen roses mixed with carnations, etc. With urging from the sales person at the 800 number, I upped the price to get an even nicer arrangement, and then they added $30 for "taking nice care of the arrangement and delivery." Actual delivery was pitiful...two roses, two carnations. Would have been less than $10 at the local grocery store. Plus late delivery. I ordered online A bouquet of 24 stems of roses and carnations In red for my BFF for her birthday from myself and another female friend. she received 24 stemmed roses, which were beautiful, but not what I ordered. Best friends don't send roses to women, boyfriends send roses to Women. i fully understood that there would be variations, but that was an entirely different order all together. Substituting another color or type of flower for the carnations is a variable. Sending all roses is flat out lazy. Consumer beware. The "AVAS Florists" website heading leads one to believe that the florist shop is based in the community where the flower recipient lives, in my case, Farmington, MN. WRONG! Horrible Company. My mom ordered for my wife for her Birthday. They said they would delivery in the morning. I called to find out what time since we had places to go. After an annoying phone system, i finally got a hold of someone. They put me on hold and told me that they were calling the delivery driver. This was at 10:30am. The person can back after a few minutes and told me the driver was on the way and should be there soon. He showed up at 2:00 pm. 3 and 1/2 hours is soon? What a liar. Do not order here! I ordered a sympathy wreath for my aunt's (father's sister) funeral for $129.99 and a banner for $9.99 with a request for the banner to read "Loving Sister and Aunt". Instead we received a spray of flowers and a silly card (no banner) in attached photos. The card actually read "Print on banner: Living Sister and Aunt". How can that make any sense to the florist? It's definitely not what my family and I expected for the price we paid plus delivery and service charges. This is our first and LAST time we will order from this company. When I complained, the company offered my a $15 credit for our next purchase. So disappointing when I indicated that we would no longer do business with them. I would like to get a refund check. I ordered flowers to be delivered to my friend for her birthday 3 days in advance and I was notified the day of that they would not be able to be delivered until 2 days after her birthday! While the company did offer to upgrade our floral package, I was disappointed that they notified me on the day of her birthday. They emailed me asking me to call them and I was on hold for 5 minutes, just for them to tell me that the order could not be fulfilled that day, or even the next day. They advertise same day delivery on their website, but even if you place your order a few days in advance, they still are not able to deliver the day you requested. read more

For some reason, I didn't look up Yelp review before ordering. HUGE MISTAKE! I ordered a plant to be delivered on my sister's birthday. When I didn't hear from her, I asked her 2 days later if she received it. SHE HAD NOT! After emails and phone calls, a similar item was delivered to her house 3 days after her birthday. She said it looked like something you'd buy at the grocery store for $10. The HB balloon I ordered for an additional $6.99 was not delivered, though it was listed on the invoice the delivery man had. We ordered flowers were promised they would be delivered been up 5 when everything was closed they called us and told us they would not be able to deliver our flowers and therefore we had none for the funeral. Ordered (by phone) a flower arrangement for a funeral service. The funeral service was on a Saturday at 11:00 am at a church and I was told that they will try to deliver it on Friday night or 1 hour before the funeral service. Arrived at church and checked if the flower arrangement I ordered came but it didn't so I stepped out of the church and made a phone call. Found out that it hasn't been delivered and I was put on hold a few times since they're tracking the delivery. During this time I already missed out one third of the program. I was then told that it might come at 12:30 so I got upset and requested to cancel it because by the time I get it, the service will be over and the family of the deceased will not get it. Their customer service told me that they cannot cancel the order as it was already out for delivery. I requested for a phone call after an hour (which didn't happen) so I can listen to the rest of the service. I also sat by the door so I can see if a delivery will come by. My floral arrangement finally came at 11:41, didn't look like the arrangement I ordered and the banner was tacky. My first time to attend a service where I couldn't even remember what was shown and what was said because of the grief Avas Flowers caused me. i deserved a partial refund. Don't you think? read more

What was delivered and what arrived TWO totally different items. Star Gazer Lilies specifically paid for upgrade. $100 for 18 blooms. A tiny vase arrived with 9 blooms. SCAM SCAM - read the reviews. I wanted to send flowers to my son's girlfriend who was moving to a new apartment. I had to confirm twice to deliver the next day and to deliver after 12:00 noon as I wasn't sure what time she would arrive to the new apartment. The email confirmation said to deliver "before 1:00" so I called again to ensure they would NOT deliver prior to need. She texted me before noon that the flowers were already delivered. Avas Flowers in Prescott is not what I would recommend. I ordered a Mother's day arrangement on Tuesday before Mother's day and they told me on Thursday that it wouldn't be delivered until the following Tues. I was OK with that because it would be an extra surprise and then they sent an email on late Friday that they couldn't complete my order. I ordered a bouquet of Gerbera daisies for my mom for Mother's Day and paid over $100 to get a large bouquet of them, and it arrived as mostly carnations. It is not a nice looking bouquet! Recently used Avas Flowers for two funerals, a day apart. Send order from out of state. Flowers were not like the picture! I am so disgusted. I ordered large for both and the flowers were very sparse in the arrangement. I know that flowers may need to be substituted but I expect flowers, not an attempt to get away with it by using greenery. DO NOT USE AVAs, they lie and misrepresent. They marketed themselves as a local florist so I trusted them (my bad). They were very quick to take my money and all the delivery information. The day (very specific day for delivery) I called to see why they had not yet been delivered and was told "oh, we can't find a florist in that area to deliver". How can a company take money upfront without making certain they can fulfill the order? Complete fraud and misrepresentation. Now, after the fact, I have found the Facebook page of Avas flowers scam and horrible reviews on so many sites. They need to be taken to court for fraud. read more

I most definitely WOULD NOT recommend Ava's Flowers; I underwent the WORST experience ever ordering flowers. Sadly, I ordered flowers for the death of a good friend's loved one - the order arrived LATE, actually after the funeral. I was lied to about the status & delivery of the flowers, transferred to at least 8 different agents, and they even screwed up what flowers I ordered. The agents could barely speak English and could not give a reliable/correct response to when they would be delivered. Ava's preaches they are a "family owned business" but in reality they are nothing more than a middleman. I will NEVER order flowers from them again and will ensure everyone I know won't either - a HUGE disappointment at a time when flowers were needed the most; what's worst is I paid several additional fees (service, delivery, etc) and was not even offered a partial reimbursement for THEIR INCOMPETENCE!!! If you want flowers delivered on your daughters birthday don't get them from Ava's because they won't arrive on time as promised and they will charge you a $20 service fee and not even waive the fee for late delivery. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am.  I never write reviews online, but made it a point to do so to warn others.  First of all, they forgot to place the order with the local flower shop.  I paid for a "designer" arrangement, it was supposed to be delivered 2/20/2021, and did not get delivered until 4 days later on 2/23/2021. The telephone system is not user friendly, as it took a very long time to reach someone who was familiar with my issue.  I did talk to someone (who was helpful, and felt bad) and promised me to make the arrangement "bigger and beautiful" and to add balloons, for compensation for the very late delivery.  She had to call me back and explain that the delivery driver was unable to deliver the flowers, and it would take an additional day.  She said they would send 2 dozen roses, as compensation.   What showed up on 2/23/2021, was only 18 sparse, wilted roses.  The original arrangement was beautiful in the picture.  I wished I would have researched this company on Yelp beforehand, and I would have realized that I should not order flowers from them, because I would be disappointed with the quality and service. Save yourself the heartache and headache. Wish I would have researched better. They just called me (2/24/2021) and said they would give me half of my money back, for being dissatisfied. avas failed to deliver on due date and did not call to report problem. I had to call first, then they called back to say that even the next day was not possible but the day after that maybe- this is totally messed up in my book. I gave a couple extra days on the front end of this so even in case of a mix up flowers would get to the parents of my wife, who passed away six months ago and would of had a birthday the day after the flower delivery. I've had the worst experience with this florist. First they use other florist to fulfill their orders and then charge you an arm and a leg for their service. I rested a large bouquet for my daughter-in-law who lost her father to cancer and in trying to send some comfort to her I ordered the flowers to be delivered in a pink vase. Her favorite color but that was to no avail. The flowers were delivered in a clear vase not pink and to top it off with a graduation balloon that said "you got it". I was so embarrassed by this and infuriated because for the money spent $117 you would think that the handling would have been more professional. You see once they have their money, they really don't care about what is delivered. To top it off the arrangement was done by Conroys. Had I known that I would have never ordered from them. I tried to get some reimbursement but they gave me a difficult time and kept making excuses trying re reimbursement me. Shame on you Avas Flowers!!! read more
