He prepares you very well for the driving test but also for driving in many different locations and conditions. I highly recommend Rocky! He is the best! AAA is typically great for customers, but this department is a rip off!!! Pay up front for the "on…read moresale package" of the class and behind the wheel sessions. Weeks later you finish the online and pass the permit test, and then try to book behind the wheel dates. NO OPENINGS FOR SIX WEEKS! You can't start driving without the first completed session. So this means you lose 1.5 months of having you permit because AAA can't get you in with an instructor. This doesn't help new drivers get all the practice and become safer! At that point I asked for a refund and was told they would be keeping the $75 three day admin fee. There was no way for me to know that this problem existed within three days of buying the package! Speaking with supervisors doesn't help. I won't renew my membership.

Before daycare, our main care taker was my mother in law and my daughter was thriving. But due to…read morean upcoming trip, she would have to leave the country for a little over a month so it was time to find an alternate option for child care while my wife and I are working. Though relatively short notice, we had about 3 months to look at our options. As most parents do, we have asked around for recommendations from our friends and my own independent research. Unfortunately, all of those locations were either a capacity or were not accepting children until the following year. We were almost about to give up and just hire a temporary nanny to care for our daughter during work hours when we stumbled upon Little Stars Learn & Play Center. Curious, I called the number listed on yelp/google and the administrator, Ms. Asma, answered. We told her about our situation and that we were looking for a daycare to watch our then 22 month old daughter. She recommended we schedule a tour for just my wife and I to get a feel of the facilities and teachers. The building is very inconspicuous which you kind of hope for obvious reasons, the exterior clean and presentable. Upon entering inside, we were greeted by Ms Asma and introduced us to the facility. We immediately had a positive gut feeling and decided to schedule a day to drop our daughter off for a few hours to get her acclimated. There are two main rooms, one for toddlers (younger kids) and another for older kids (pre-school). We did this for about a week and decided to extend the stay out a few more hours 3 days a week. Ms Asma, Ms Tina and Ms Angel were awesome from the start, they were more than willing to work with our daughter who is very advanced for her age but has a lot of anxiety, particularly struggling with separation anxiety. They were patient with her and helped her transition smoothly to the day to day. Though she still has some anxiety during drop off, our daughter has fun all day and pick-up is night and day, almost no more tears! She eats better at school, plays nicely her friends (classmates) and comes home every day with a new word or phrase. We are eternally grateful for the teachers and staff at Little Stars and our own anxiety has also improved. Finding daycares is very stressful for both parents and kids, and it is a relief we found an awesome one!

Additional Notes: The school itself is located on PCH so it is a busy during rush hour. There are times that getting in and out of the school can be troublesome. However, the school itself feels secure and I didn't worry too much about her safety as there are a lot of gates. Since we have been there for a while, we have seen a few changes in staff and was questionable at times. However, the current director does her best to manage the changes and notifies the parents as soon as possible. The director and teachers are very caring and do their best to accommodate the changes as well. The school uses an app for communication about your child and it is very convenient as they update throughout the day such as meals and if they took a nap, etc. It made me feel less anxious. I do feel that they are aligning well with the academics while fully embracing the Montessori guidance. My daughter does well with independent play and loves to learn. Both teachers, Ms. Angie and Ms. Marizol, are truly wonderful with our son. They are encouraging, engaging, patient, and fun. We were told that it can take some children 1-3 months to stop crying after drop-off, but our son stopped crying after just the first week, which speaks volumes about the kindness and care they show him. What impressed us even more is how quickly we began to see growth. After just his first week, our son learned to sneeze into his arm, and we've noticed him forming his sentences more and more each day. The school provides weekly curriculum updates, which we love, and they also focus on a monthly book, reinforcing learning in a thoughtful, intentional way. It truly reflects an authentic Montessori learning style. The campus itself is adorable, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for children. The activities offered are precious and intentional, from the Thanksgiving kiddie potluck to Spirit Week and the Christmas recital. Another huge plus is that the school offers lunch and snacks for an additional $100 per month, which is very reasonable and takes a lot of daily stress off parents. The only con I would note is the number of days off throughout the year while still requiring full monthly tuition. This can be challenging, as it requires parents to take multiple days--and even weeks--off work. That said, it is the only downside we've experienced. We initially gave this school 5 stars, and while we still love and appreciate the teachers, it's important to note that a rating reflects the entire experience--including management. Since we don't deal with administration daily, it hasn't impacted us as much, but our confidence in upper management isn't what it once was. It's still a good option overall, especially because of the teachers--but don't expect the same level of excellence across the board.

I only had 2 classes with Sabino @ Avers and I passed my driving test today on the 1st try! Whether you're a 1st time driver as a teen or an adult, Avers is the school you need! From polite and helpful Lettie at their office to calm and patient Sabino as your driving instructor, I guarantee that you will be passing the test and driving in no time! I've taken classes @ another driving school in Manhattan Beach and it was no way comparable to my awesome experience with Avers. Sabino is everything you need in a driving instructor - calm, patient, extremely helpful (tons of good tips/advice), safe, and more importantly strict. I've had teachers who didn't point out fatal errors when I drove and Sabino watches everything that you're doing and points out all your mistakes. Sabino is an excellent driving instructor! I have driven for many years in England but have a foreign driver's licence so needed to get a Californian one. I had two lessons with Sabino before passing my test on the first try!! Sabino is strict in his teaching but only because he really, really wants you to pass the first time. I made a lot of errors in my second lesson but through him pointing these out and me practising and practising I was able to pass. He is also extremely fair and does not give you lessons for the sake of making money out of you. He assesses your driving abilities and makes suggestions on how many lessons you will need. It is not normal to do business with someone with such integrity but Sabino has it! Lettie is also very polite and helpful. Because of Sabino I passed my test on the first try! read more

If you want to pass the driving test on the first try, then take lessons here! I had Sabino for my first lesson and he did the impossible --he made me feel extremely confident behind the wheel. Once I had that confidence everything else just flowed. The whole session was useful and demonstrated his expertise in instruction. No fluff & not a penny wasted! For my second and third lessons, Ricky was my instructor. He also made me feel incredibly confident and capable on the road -even on the freeway! I am glad that I chose this driving school. The registration was smooth with no hassle. Both the ladies (I forgot their names though. I guess one of'em was Stephanie) were really helpful, gave a reminder call before classes and made sure that we are aware of the schedule. A big thanks to the instructor RICKY. He was nice and humble throughout the driving sessions. He provided loads of tips to clear the driving test in the first go. He pushed me to try it by myself and learn from the mistakes which definitely paid off. Anyone who would want to pass their drive test in the first attempt, I recommend this driving school and RICKY. Eduardo was so patient with me and he helped me overcome my driving anxiety. Someone below stated that he had the "patience of a saint" and that is absolutely 100% true. This is indeed the best driving school ever. The services are amazing. Everyone is polite, understanding and try hard to work with parents and students. My daughter passed her driving test at her first try. Not just because she is a good driver and fast learner, but the coach at Avers really helped her prepare well for the test and gave her many good tips. I tried other driving schools but I can't even compare them to Avers. Sabino is the best driving instructor I ever had! He's understanding and he wants all of his students to feel comfortable and he wants them to learn how to be good drivers. My husband has tried so many times to work with him and he has completely avoided our attempts to receive a copy of the certificate. What was suppose to only be $30 has turned into a nightmare from hell. Safe to say that this will be reported.

I would never recommend this driving school. From the first…read morephone call to the final step of issuing the student's certificate of completion for both the written and behind-the-wheel tests, the entire process was incredibly disorganized. Every interaction felt confusing, communication was poor, and we constantly had to follow up to get basic information and paperwork completed. What should have been a straightforward experience turned into a frustrating and stressful one. The lack of organization and professionalism made an already important milestone much more difficult than it needed to be. There are plenty of other driving schools that value their students' time and provide better customer service. Unfortunately, this was a horrible experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
