It's so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic. A few years ago, we got an estimate for over $2000 to fix a computer system in my wife's Toyota. We took it to Ted for a second opinion and he advised us to call the dealer as there may have been a recall. He was right, Toyota fixed it for free. He didn't make any money that day but he won a customer for life. We take both of our cars to Ted for our oil changes, regular maintenance, brake work, and everything else. Ted was super helpful and informative about what was wrong with my car and how to fix it. I'd taken my car previously to another disreputable place in Reading where they had sheared off a few bolts and lost others and potentially bent the spindle when attempting to repair my front right wheel bearing. Ted was able to diagnose what was still wrong with the car and help me get it fixed. Fast and expert. The owner Ted was walking out the door Saturday afternoon when I called. I needed to fix my wife's car window and it's 14 degrees out. He told me to swing by and maybe we could at least tape it up. Long story short, he took apart the door right there in the driveway and fixed the window. And also tried to not charge me for it! Excellent service from the owner, Tom. I have never been to his shop before, but did call ahead. Tom scheduled me an appointment, which, without knowing, does work much better for him because he is the owner and HE does all the work! He also tries to get you the best price for any additional parts, in my case, a cabin air filter. I was in the area running errands and he called me when it came in.
