I have a history of not trusting dentist offices because of several bad experiences. This time around when I needed some amalgam fillings replaced, I called a handful of offices to see how I felt about them and to get a price range. The reviews here looked too good to be true but they were recommended by two of my friends that had a good experience. Even though this was quite a drive for me it was completely worth it. The staff was very friendly and the dentist has great bedside manner. We went in thinking I would need two caps but ended up that she could salvage with two fillings. I want to make it clear that this review has nothing to do with the dentists or hygienist at Avery Ranch Dental, but rather our recent experience with the billing department/office manager side of the house. We have been patients of Dr. Lowrance for at least seven years at this point. My husband, myself and all three of our teens see her and we've been very happy. I'm not sure what is going on right now, apparently they are selling the practice, but we have been dealing with an issue related to an incorrect charge for almost three weeks now. I used my flexible spending account to pay for dental work in January via a FSA Mastercard. Apparently they overcharged me and subsequently our FSA card by over $250. When there was a request for a receipt came in for my FSA card and we submitted what Avery Ranch Dentistry provided me, I was told (a. the charge was incorrect and b.) that they were submitting estimates instead of receipts which is why it got flagged in the first place. It would take me an hour to write up all of the back and forth with them, but sufficient to say that there has been a hold on my FSA card for over a month now and the attempts to follow up and resolve this have been extremely slow and quite frankly, uncaring. We've had some significant medical expenses recently and it sure would be nice to use our FSA card to pay for them, but alas, because of their mistake and the multiple delays in getting back to us, not honoring commitments they make from a time perspective, we are having to actual pay back the FSA while we wait the TWO weeks for the initial repayment from them (apparently because the office is being sold it's impossible for them to just reverse the credit charge and instead are cutting us a check that will take two weeks to receive). Oh and we just identified another error that I'm guessing will take another month to resolve. Additionally, my husband had an appointment this morning that they apparently canceled, but no one bothered to tell him. When he asked about it, they again said it had something to do with the change in ownership. What?! I'm sad to leave Dr. Lowrance and the rest of the great staff, but I don't have the time or patience to deal with this and would much rather start seeing a dentist that the dentist AND the office cares about their clients. I also wonder how many times in the past we've been overcharged and never knew it. When I have 5 years to waste, I may ask for an audit! Save yourself the headache and find another office. read more

I have been going to this practice for the past five years now. I went for routine cleanings and was more than impressed with the front office friendliness and the gentle care of any assistant or tech that I received care from. I can attest that pain management is a top concern of theirs which is always quickly mitigated. I involuntarily flinched for just a moment and the process was immediately stopped. I asked to keep going because it was just a quick zing that I could deal with, but they weren't having any of it. They made me comfortable and made sure I wouldn't experience any "zingers" again and I didn't. I recently chipped a front tooth in an accident and went in to have it capped. Dr. Lowery went through great lengths to match the color of the cap and made sure that my bite didn't bother me one bit. She even textured the tooth to get it to match the one next to it and achieved a very natural look. My wife wasn't sure which tooth had the work done to it when I got home that day. It was that well done! Later, I asked Dr Lowery about cosmetic dentistry since I wasn't totally happy with my smile due to being born without my laterals. She explained the details of what to expect with the procedure, the available treatment plans, and cost. She DID NOT ever try to up sell me on anything. In fact, there were some things she pointed out that could be done but she didn't feel would be necessary to achieve the smile I wanted. She was able to take a photo of my current teeth and with some computer magic, able to show me exactly what the final product would look like. I was sold! I went ahead, had the procedure done and the veneers came out even better than the pictures! I have received compliments from everyone, even strangers. Now I'm smiling without any self conscious thought other than feeling proud of them. Bottom Line: Dr Lowery goes above and beyond what I expect from my dentist. (I.e. coming in on days she originally had scheduled off because it worked best for my schedule.) I really feel that she genuinely cares for me. I do not hesitate to tell friends and family to see her for any dental concern. read more

Yup, excellent place. Dr. Hadden and Leslie are always very pleasant, patient, thorough and great to deal with. I think 2 things sealed it for me: 1) On one of their initial forms, they asked what is most important to me and what other dentists have/haven't done. I answered something about the doctors being late and not honoring my appointment time. I have yet to be brought in after my appointment time at ARD. 2) Needing a lot of work done on my teeth (mainly just cleanings and replacing fillings), I wanted to understand the charges and insurance. I love Avery Ranch Dental! I started going to them when I was having sensitivity with my gums (turns out I was clenching and needed a night guard.) Since they solved that problem, I started seeing them for my cleanings. My first cleaning they found a cavity. No shocker there since I had only been to one dentist (that I did not care for) in over 3 years. I just had my second cleaning and was in and out in a breeze. In all of these services the staff has been amazing. They are prompt and friendly. They don't push unnecessary services. I also love that they have a tv in each room that you can watch during your cleaning. There really isn't anything that I don't love about them. They are amazing! read more

I'm really surprised nobody has reviewed Avery Ranch Dental yet. I started going to this dentist last year to get some cavities and minor work done and its definitely the best I have been to. The office is nice and clean and each chair has its own lcd TV with headset and remote. They are prompt and professional and even send text messages and email to remind and confirm appointments. read more

The only reason I don't want to provide a GOOD review is that it just adds more patients to their roster and it's difficult to get in! I waited 4 months for an appointment (I did have only specific dates/times to visit). The staff was friendly, professional and compassionate and Dr. Judy is very nice, explained everything thoroughly and put me at ease. I have a very rough history with other dentists...they knew about it, they reacted to it and knew how to deal with it. The check out person explained the bill and future procedures, insurance and out of pocket costs (that I was expecting). It was really an ok experience, for a dental office! read more

I've been a patient at this practice for over 6 years and have been seeing Dr. Judy for dental care. Dr. Judy is patient, kind, and takes care to explain any and all procedures to you in a way that most just tend to overlook. For the record, I came to this practice with major white coat syndrome--the very thought of making an appointment literally would bring me to tears. This is one of those dental offices where cash is king. The dentists turn over regularly and it's very likely you won't see any of the same assistants or hygienists from one visit to the next. I hate having to disagree I need treatment every time I'm in the office. It just seems clear they are there to churn through patients as quickly as possible and empty as much of you wallet as you'll allow. Also on two separate occasions I had a bill sent after a procedure for more then I was told it would cost. One Positive: I will say the night guard they provided was well made, and they assistant and Dr. make sure it was that day. read more

This may sound crazy but I had an awesome experience at Avery Dental. I had bad experience at a Dentist years ago which left me very anxious and nervous. However, from the first visit to Avery Ranch Dental all that changed. The staff is so friendly and professional. The facility has a calming atmosphere and they have the latest and state of the art equipment. I saw two Dentist Dr. Lowery and Dr. Myhre. Both were outstanding. Dr. Myhre has a bedside manner like no other. He was very patient and put me at ease. He explained every thing very clearly. By the second visit I was not nervous or anxious at all. :). I will never go to this place ever again. When I had went in for my procedure, not only did I feel pain, but they kept drugging me more to make sure I didn't feel any pain, and that still didn't work. I literally had tears running down my face. And to turn around and bill me a different amount than what was quoted to me 3 times had me beyond upset. My 7 yr old autistic son can do a much better job than what Dr. Judy and the periodontist has done. After years of not going to the dentist I tried Avery Ranch Dental after reading so many good reviews. They are so caring and helpful I never felt rushed or like I was just a patient like I did at my past dentist office they made me feel like family. I love going into the office and that the staff remembers me and the conversations we have had and asks about vacations we have talked about etc. I have a 3year old who I don't ever want to have a fear of the dentist that I had growing up. Please let me start by noting my complete disdain for going to the dentist to have my teeth worked on . I also would like to mention that I do not like to write reviews as I typically don't feel compelled enough one way or the other to do so. However, my most recent treatment with Dr. Lowery and her assistance was so exceptional that I felt it necessary to extend my recommendation. In my treatment I needed to have both of my front teeth crowned. As one of the top 3 focal points of a person's face, I placed my trust and confidence in Dr. Lowery to master the plan and she did not fail. My experience was professional yet personalized during my entire time spent with Avery Ranch Dental. My health and comfort was ensured and maintained with constancy while working effectively and promptly. In instances where I was the cause for the failure of my temporary teeth, I was provided emergency scheduling and reassurance that it was not a problem and repaired expeditiously. This quite literally has been the best dental experience I have ever had and I am very appreciative of Dr. Lowery and her staff. You won't see many reviews from denture wearers. I get it, there's a social stigma attached. One that is definitely NOT deserved. 25% of people over the age of 60 no longer have any natural teeth and 56% have some form of partial replacement. It's way more common than people realize. Part of the stigma comes from folks getting really really bad dentures from dentists who either don't know how to make them or don't care. Dr. Judy and the team at Avery Ranch Dental are awesome! Fit, finish, materials and all of the work that Dr. Judy puts in to make certain the fit is tight and right cannot be found just anywhere. I've been a denture wearer for over 30 years and have had some horrible experiences. Not with Dr. Judy. She listens, she learns and she works to give you a fantastic outcome. Proof positive... just 3 days after receiving my new set I was able to eat an apple. Not sliced up. Picked up an apple and chowed down. That's a quality denture! The whole team at Avery is awesome.
